EVERYTHING IS GOING SWIMMINGLY: Jill Biden heckled in Connecticut: ‘Your husband’s the worst president we’ve ever had.’ Sadly, it’s true.

“A man was clearly angered over gas prices and wanted Jill Biden to know. Jill Biden was in Connecticut as part of a three-state trip focused on summer learning. The heckling incident happened as Biden and Education Secretary Miguel Cardona exited an SUV and entered a building in New Haven. . . . ‘Your husband is the worst president we ever had. You owe us gas money,’ an unnamed man yelled at her during the exchange.'”

Plus: “The dirty little secret is that the Biden administration is happy with high gas prices. They want American drivers to feel the pain at the pump as they fill up their gas tanks, thinking it will speed up purchases of electric vehicles. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg admitted as much recently.”

EVERYTHING IS GOING SWIMMINGLY: Zogby: Base abandons Biden, ‘terrible numbers.’ “A mainly miserable week for President Joe Biden. Terrible numbers. Inflation grew at a 9.1% annualized rate. Wholesale prices grew at a staggering 11.3% rate. His average approval rating is 38%, with just a 33% approval from the New York Times/Siena College poll. That same poll revealed that 64% of registered Democrats do not want him to run again in 2024, including a stunning 94% of those under 30 — a group Biden won by 24 points in 2020.”

BIDEN’S PROBLEM ISN’T THAT HE’S OLD PER SE BUT THAT HE LACKS MENTAL CAPACITY: ‘Life begins at 80’: Trump says Biden concerns have ‘little to do with his age.’

The thing is, Biden’s basement-campaign strategy was based on his handlers — and the complicit press — knowing that he lacked the mental capacity to campaign, much less be president, and pushing him and covering for him anyway. And they had help from Big Tech and other corporate leaders.

PAST PERFORMANCE IS NO GUARANTEE OF FUTURE TRUNALIMUNUMAPRZURE:

Shouldn’t Biden’s message be applied to a wide variety of products? Such as the price of Ferraris, Lamborghinis, and other luxury items:

But we’re we just told by a Biden advisor on Thursday: Americans Need To Pay More for Gas To Defend ‘Liberal World Order.’

And by Biden himself: High gas prices to last ‘as long as it takes’ for Ukraine victory.

But then, two weeks ago, Biden was back to blaming oil companies: Reuters: Biden demands oil companies explain lack of gasoline as prices rise.

U.S. President Joe Biden on Wednesday demanded oil companies explain why they aren’t putting more gasoline on the market, sharply escalating his rhetoric against industry as he faces pressure over rising prices.

Biden wrote to executives from Marathon Petroleum Corp, Valero Energy Corp, and Exxon Mobil Corp and complained they had cut back on oil refining to pad their profits, according to a copy of the letter seen by Reuters.

“At a time of war, refinery profit margins well above normal being passed directly onto American families are not acceptable,” Biden wrote, adding the lack of refining was driving gas prices up faster than oil prices.

“The lack of refining capacity – and resulting unprecedented refinery profit margins – are blunting the impact of the historic actions my Administration has taken to address Vladimir Putin’s Price Hike and are driving up costs for consumers.”

The letter is also being sent to Phillips 66, Chevron Corp, BP and Shell, a White House official, who declined to be identified, told Reuters.

Flashbacks: Why Aren’t Democrats Dancing for Joy About Sky-High Gas Prices?

In the service of reducing carbon emissions, Democrats have long openly worked to raise the price of fossil fuel energy. They have done so by proposing carbon taxes, cap-and-trade schemes, higher leasing fees, and other measures to jack up costs so people burn less of it. This is why Barack Obama said, in answer to a related question about electricity, that his energy plan would make prices “necessarily skyrocket.” This is why Democratic Rep. Ro Khanna praised BP’s CEO less than six months ago for pledging to reduce oil and gas production by 40% by 2030. Reductions in oil production and rising gasoline prices are part of the Democrats’ agenda and the Paris climate agenda.

There’s even more to it than that. Over the past decade, the Democrats’ overt hostility toward fossil fuels has even driven companies in the industry to sideline production, purely for public relations purposes, while prioritizing meaningless, politically correct carbon emissions goals. How can Democrats suddenly feign outrage at their incredible success in influencing the industry?

Is it a mystery why Democrats aren’t doing a sack dance and celebrating the salvation of planet earth?

There’s the small matter of their political survival, of course. It would be unseemly — like doing a jig at an Irish funeral — to celebrate other people’s pain. And it would cost many Democrats who are secretly jubilant about high gas prices their political careers.

Instead, Democrats are pretending to look for a way to “ease consumers’ pain.”

In September of 2019, after CNN’s seven hour “climate change town hall,” Bryan Preston wrote, “Seriously, if you see all of the above — which is just a sample — and vote for any of these people for any office at any level, it’s on you. If you like Venezuela, voting for any of them will bring you a whole lot of Venezuela.”

And as Kate of Small Dead Animals wrote after the CNN horror show, “Don’t make the mistake of thinking they don’t mean it.”

His tweet also garnered support from Chinese state media, with Chen Weihua, China Daily EU Bureau Chief, responding that Biden “finally realized that capitalism is all about exploitation.”

GREAT MOMENTS IN GASLIGHTING: Biden: High gas prices to last ‘as long as it takes’ for Ukraine victory.

American drivers will have to endure high gas prices for “as long as it takes” for Ukraine to defeat Russia’s invasion, President Biden told reporters in Spain Thursday.

At the conclusion of this week’s NATO summit in Madrid, the president was asked by New York Times reporter Jim Tankersley about the surging price of oil as a result of Western sanctions on Russia in response to its Feb. 24 assault.

“The war has pushed prices up. [Oil] could go as high as $200 a barrel, some analysts think,” Tankersley said. “How long is it fair to expect American drivers and drivers around the world to pay that premium for this war?”

“As long as it takes,” Biden answered. “Russia cannot, in fact, defeat Ukraine and move beyond Ukraine.

“This is a critical, critical position for the world,” the president went on. “Here we are. Why do we have NATO? I told Putin that, in fact, if we were to move [against Ukraine], we would move to strengthen NATO. We would move to strengthen NATO across the board.”

During his 26-minute presser, Biden also reiterated his administration’s stance that the spike in energy and food prices around the world is primarily the consequence of the Russian invasion, which has constricted wheat deliveries from Ukraine as well as oil and natural gas deliveries to Europe.

Huh. Two weeks ago, Biden was blaming the oil companies, not Putin for high gas prices: Reuters: Biden demands oil companies explain lack of gasoline as prices rise.

CREEPY JOE BIDEN IS BACK; TUCKER CARLSON REVEALS SHOCKING ALLEGATIONS FROM ASHLEY BIDEN’S DIARY:

Fox News host Tucker Carlson attacked President Joe Biden over his daughter Ashley Biden’s diary admissions.

In Ashley Biden’s writings, she claims that the president took showers with her when she was young, fueling her sex-addiction.

Carlson described the disturbing details as “sick” and “horrifying,” saying “if that’s not child molestation, it is definitely close enough to justify a police visit.”

Inside a January 2019 diary entry, she wrote “I remember having sex with friends @ a young age; showers w/ my dad.”

Carlson then asked the audience, “if you are the father of daughters, ask yourself, is there any explanation for that behavior that is justifiable?”

Ashley Biden’s diary was found by a woman named Aimee Harris who sold it after finding it at a halfway house that Biden’s daughter stayed at while receiving treatment.

The Fox News host then slammed the FBI for probing the woman over an incident that is not a federal crime and for not going after Biden.

UPDATE AND BUMP (FROM GLENN): Flashback: The ‘cabal’ that bragged of foisting Joe Biden on us must answer for his failed presidency.

THE ROT RUNS DEEP: Biden Dodged Blame For Lying About Hunter’s Foreign Dealings For Years Because Corporate Media Let Him.

After Biden said he didn’t know anything about Hunter’s business dealings, NBC News journalist Kristen Welker took Biden’s claim that “My son has not made money in terms of this thing about, talking about China” at face value when moderating the final presidential debate in 2020, and waited another year before she finally asked the White House about the president’s false comments.

“During the last presidential debate, [Joe] Biden was asked if there’s anything inappropriate or unethical about his son’s relationships, business dealings in China and/or Ukraine. The president said ‘nothing was unethical.’ … Does the White House stand by that comment?” she asked last month.

White House Communications Director Kate Bedingfield declined to acknowledge Biden’s lie and instead defended the president and his son. She endorsed Biden’s claim that “nothing was unethical” about Hunter’s complicated dealings and that Hunter “has not made money” off of his transactions with a Chinese Communist Party-controlled company despite receipts showing otherwise.

Why did Welker just recently press the Biden administration about an issue that came up two years ago and again less than a month before a key election? She had the opportunity to push back on Biden directly during the debate but she didn’t.

The corporate media is the propaganda arm of the administration, which is why, when Biden dismissed President Donald Trump’s laptop questions during the final debate as Russian disinformation, so did Welker and everyone else in the corrupt media establishment.

Previously: The ‘cabal’ that bragged of foisting Joe Biden on us must answer for his failed presidency.

NOTHING TO SEE HERE, MOVE ALONG: Spy agency sought Hunter Biden laptop back in 2020 to see if family compromised.

Retired Army Lt. Col. Tony Shaffer’s account to Just the News was confirmed by three other people who were approached by Shaffer or the agency or were involved in the approach.

They said the agency’s interest was to analyze the hard drive contents for any evidence or patterns of how foreign adversaries were seeking to compromise prominent Americans or their families.

Shaffer provided details about the approach during an appearance Friday on the Just the News television show on Real America’s Voice.

“A three-letter agency came to me and said, ‘Hey, we’ve heard that you have access to a copy of the Hunter Biden hard drive. Could we get a copy?'” Shaffer said during the interview. “And I said, like, ‘Do you know what’s on there? I mean, we’re talking about everything from child porn, to, you know, all these these issues regarding the president.’

“And they said, ‘We don’t care. … We want to either confirm or refute it. We want to act factual. We don’t have a political dog in the fight. What our concern is, is that if there’s compromising information on that hard drive, this is before the election, the president could be compromised to the level of owing either China or or Ukraine something. And this is what this three letter agency was concerned about.”

AGAIN? Biden Just Stuck His Foot Straight in His Mouth in a Way That Could Set off WWIII.

Uh.

Flashback: Biden acts much more like Putin’s puppet than Trump ever did.

I’m talking, of course, about Joseph Robinette Biden Jr., who at his shambolic Wednesday press conference gave Russia the go-ahead to invade Ukraine, though it was quickly walked back by backwalker-in-chief Jen Psaki, his press secretary.

The last time something like that happened was in 1950, when Secretary of State Dean Acheson gave North Korea what appeared to be a green light to invade South Korea. The result was the Korean War. One hopes Biden’s blunder will not bear similar consequences.

Oops.

UPDATE: From the comments:

It’s for trying to remove a President who would have prevented this disaster from happening.

And then why they haven’t impeached him yet makes more sense.

ANOTHER UPDATE: At least there’s some comic relief along with the tragic incompetence:

THE NEW YORK TIMES, HUNTER BIDEN AND THE SUICIDE OF MEDIA CREDIBILITY:

The Fox story began: “Twitter faced unrelenting backlash after blocking the spread of a New York Post bombshell that was highly critical of Hunter Biden on Wednesday, as critics pointed out the platform gave no such treatment to stories from CNN, The New York Times and other media with highly questionable sourcing.”

And now? Over a year after The Times — and others in the mainstream media — tried to discredit the Post story? The Times runs this story — buried way inside on page A-20. The headline:

Hunter Biden Paid Tax Bill, but Broad Federal Investigation Continues
The Justice Department inquiry into the business dealings of the president’s son has remained active, with a grand jury seeking information about payments from around the world.

And, lo and behold, buried in this Times story is this admission:

People familiar with the investigation said prosecutors had examined emails between Mr. Biden, Mr. Archer and others about Burisma and other foreign business activity. Those emails were obtained by The New York Times from a cache of files that appears to have come from a laptop abandoned by Mr. Biden in a Delaware repair shop. The email and others in the cache were authenticated by people familiar with them and with the investigation.

In response to The Times red-faced admission the Post runs this editorial, doubtless laughing all the way:

Now that Joe Biden’s president, the Times finally admits: Hunter’s laptop is real

The editorial began:

Forgive the profanity, but you have got to be s–tting us.

First, The New York Times decides more than a year later that Hunter Biden’s business woes are worthy of a story. Then, deep in the piece, in passing, it notes that Hunter’s laptop is legitimate.

“People familiar with the investigation said prosecutors had examined emails between Mr. Biden, Mr. Archer and others about Burisma and other foreign business activity,” The Times writes. “Those emails were obtained by The New York Times from a cache of files that appears to have come from a laptop abandoned by Mr. Biden in a Delaware repair shop. The email and others in the cache were authenticated by people familiar with them and with the investigation.”

Authenticated!!! You don’t say. You mean, when a newspaper actually does reporting on a topic and doesn’t just try to whitewash coverage for Joe Biden, it discovers it’s actually true?

The shorthand here is that The New York Times went out of its way not to report or investigate the facts in the Post’s story. No, The Times response and that of all manner of “mainstream” media figures was to pooh-pooh the Post scoop, to pretend that it was all discredited garbage and Russian information.

There could have been only one reason: to protect then-candidate Joe Biden. As noted, Big Tech went even further, simply blocking the story altogether.

QED:

KRUISER’S MORNING BRIEFING: Why Do Joe Biden’s Handlers Let the Idiot Speak? “It is no secret that Joe Biden isn’t really in control. Some ungodly cabal of puppetmasters is pulling the moron’s strings. From what we’ve seen so far, they aren’t brighter than their drooling charge. If they were, they wouldn’t let Ol’ Gropes speak in public. Ever.”

JON GABRIEL: Biden can take a bow for rising gas prices. He did that!

I didn’t use to dread pulling up to the gas pump. Now I’d rather ask my dentist for an elective root canal.

As I dumped 60 bucks into my mid-size sedan, I noticed someone had slapped one of those Biden stickers on the pump, pointing at the price and saying “I did that.”

Gas station attendants probably spend a couple hours every day scraping those off.

When President Biden took office, the national average price of regular gas was $2.38 per gallon.

Today, it’s $4.25, a 79% increase. He has repeatedly explained that this has nothing to do with his brilliant policies. It’s everyone else’s fault.

* * * * * * * *

None of this was a surprise. Biden bragged about his anti-energy campaign during the presidential campaign.

“No more drilling including offshore,” Biden said during a 2020 primary debate. “No ability for the oil industry to continue to drill, period. It ends.”

Actions have consequences; high gas prices are the predictable result.

After banning Russian oil, Biden hasn’t quite figured out how to replace it. In a little over a year, America went from energy independence to buying about 10 percent of our fuel from Putin.

Hard to believe that prior to 2021, “the United States was a net exporter of oil and natural gas. When operating at capacity – which requires the cooperation of the government on a number of fronts – we have more than enough fuel to meet all of our needs. We’re just not doing what needs to be done to get it to all of the places where it’s needed. So yes, Joe Biden has significant (though not complete) control over energy prices.”

THANK GOD HE’S NOT ALIENATING OUR ALLIES LIKE THEY SAID TRUMP DID: Pariahs? Saudis, UAE snub Biden in energy-production plea. “Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates refused to take Biden’s call as he sought increased oil production to help lower gas prices in the US, the Wall Street Journal reports. Ostensibly, the snub relates to a demand for support against Iranian proxy terrorists, but it goes deeper than that on both ends. . . . Biden’s defenders reacted with outrage late yesterday after this news broke. Some demanded an end to US arms sales to both countries and other reprisals, but those apologists have short memories. It was Biden who started this diplomatic-insult cycle by insisting in 2019 that he would turn Saudi Arabia into a ‘pariah’ state over the murder of Jamal Khashoggi in Turkey. Remember this from the Democratic primary debate in Atlanta, via Jim Geraghty?”

The Saudis certainly do. Trump, meanwhile, made them partners for Mideast peace via the Abraham Accords. But hey, the adults are in charge now, right?

TOO LATE: Joe Biden Has Only Days To Avoid Becoming Jimmy Carter.

It is worth recalling how Carter reacted to these events. In the case of Iran, he infamously ordered a rescue mission — Operation Eagle Claw — that ended in humiliating failure on April 24, 1980, when one of the U.S. helicopters intended to evacuate the hostages crashed into a transport aircraft, killing eight American servicemen. But he also imposed economic sanctions, freezing about $8.1 billion in Iranian assets and imposing a trade embargo.

In the case of the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, Carter again opted for sanctions. He placed an embargo on shipments of commodities such as grain to the Soviet Union and suspended high-technology exports. He also boycotted the 1980 Olympics in Moscow and withdrew the SALT II treaty from consideration by the Senate.

Carter’s approval rating had touched an all-time low of 28% in June 1979 and, despite rallying briefly in early 1980, never got back above 40% as the election campaign unfolded. Inflation, which had stood at 5.2% in the month of Carter’s inauguration, hit an all-time high of 14.6% in April 1980, driven skyward by the surge in oil prices that followed the Iranian Revolution.

In January 1979, the spot crude price for a barrel of West Texas Intermediate had been $14.85. By July 1980 it had more than doubled to $39.50. Carter tried to counter inflation by nominating Paul Volcker to be Fed chair in July 1979. But, as Milton Friedman long ago taught us, monetary policy operates with long and variable lags. Inflationary expectations were not truly broken until 1982.

If all of this sounds strangely familiar, it is because we are living through our own version of these events. Karl Marx memorably observed that history repeats itself “the first time as tragedy, the second time as farce.” But sometimes you just get two tragedies in succession.

Although this time around, the first tragedy was getting Joe Biden foisted on us by people who knew better but didn’t give a damn.

UPDATE (FROM GLENN): Flashback: The ‘cabal’ that bragged of foisting Joe Biden on us must answer for his failed presidency.

WELL, THIS IS TRUE: You Simply Cannot Parody The Biden Administration.

The dirty truth is that the so called “Biden administration” is a multi-year grant-funded experiment run by a cabal of night club comedians.
