DON’T GET COCKY: Stunning NBC Poll: Biden Presidency ‘in Peril, Declined on Every Measure.’

Illegal immigration has been widely deemed the No. 1 voting issue, according to exit polls in the early GOP primary states.

“What is most concerning is the erosion of Biden’s standing against Trump compared to four years ago,” Democrat pollster Jeff Horwitt of Hart Research Associates told NBC News.

“On every measure compared to 2020, Biden has declined. Most damning, the belief that Biden is more likely to be up to the job — the chief tenet of the Biden candidacy — has evaporated.”

The numbers look great now for Trump and “difficult” for the incumbent going into the heart of the 2024 primary cycle, according to Republican pollster Bill McInturff of Public Opinion Strategies.

“It is hard to imagine a more difficult set of numbers before a reelection,” McInturff told NBC News.

With 73% of registered voters say the U.S. is on the wrong track under Biden, the only silver lining for the sitting president and Horwitt is there remains time to turn the numbers back around.

MICHELLE ESQUENAZI: By letting cop-beating migrants go, NYC looks like biggest dupes in the world.

Back in 2019, when Don Cuomo was about to sign “Bail Deform” into the big state budget bill, the National Association of Bail Agents warned against such a drastic policy change.

Consider crime victims, consider the emotionally disturbed, consider the law abiding constituents that put you where you are! But nothing was going to stop the George Soros-funded runaway freight train. A big money funded initiative won over the fundamental differences between right and wrong.

So here we are in 2024, when a cop beater flips us off with not one, but two middle fingers, a language New Yorkers understand well.

“Dupes” is too kind a word. At some point, you have to stop attributing to stupidity that which ought to be attributed to malice.

KRUISER’S MORNING BRIEFING: Election in El Salvador Is a Triggering Event for American Commies. “American Democrats are big fans of criminals, especially since President LOLEightyonemillion and his ne’er-do-well son have been stinking up the White House. President Bukele is decidedly anti-lawbreakers, which is no doubt one huge reason that the Squad types can’t stand him.”

CIVIL RIGHTS UPDATE: Federal judge ‘not interested’ in delaying challenge to Illinois gun ban. “The claimants believe that their constitutional rights have been imperiled and so it’s the court’s belief that I should try to work through this with as much dispatch as possible, understanding that we want to get it right and whatever discovery needs to be exchanged can be exchanged, but also understanding that in these cases there isn’t a lot of prolonged and protected discovery.”

Well, good.

HMM: Biden’s team bracing for special counsel’s report on classified docs.

Biden aides don’t expect criminal charges in the case, but they believe Hur’s report will include embarrassing details — possibly with photos — on how Biden stored documents.

In late 2022, Obama-era classified documents were discovered in Biden’s garage at his home in Delaware and in a private office he used.

Biden aides believe that Donald Trump, Biden’s likely foe in November, will try to use Hur’s report to create equivalency with the felony charges Trump faces related to his keeping classified documents after his presidency.

Biden aides believe Hur’s probe is done and that his final report could come any time — even as soon as this week — but the final timing is unclear.

Nothing the press won’t be able to sweep under the rug.

CENTRAL AMERICA: El Salvador Holds Historic Election as U.S. Media and Ilhan Omar Threaten Interference.

Bukele didn’t only solve crime, he also built a thriving economy. He switched El Salvador’s currency to the dollar and bitcoin, encouraging international investment and tech business. Google announced a partnership last year, bringing jobs to the thriving Latin American country.

Infrastructure was another critical component of the Bukele agenda. New roads, highways, and a hydroelectric dam created clean energy for the people as the country worked itself out of poverty. Now, many tourists find El Salvador’s “Surf City” a rival to travel in the nicer areas of Costa Rica or Mexico.

Bukele faced challenges with this election, as El Salvador initially didn’t allow a president to hold successive terms, which created turmoil within the country as leadership would change every five years regardless of the people’s will. With the aid of the Supreme Court, Bukele changed the rules to allow himself to run again. When he made the rule change, El Salvadorans took to the streets to celebrate, as Bukele boasts over a 90% approval rating in the country.

In the United States, however, the mainstream media took to calling Bukele a “dictator.” Much like we’ve seen with how they treat President Trump, news outlets began calling Bukele running for re-election a “threat to democracy.”

He’s only a threat to people who believe that “democracy” means “leftism.”

SKYNET FROWNS: AI poisoning tool Nightshade received 250,000 downloads in 5 days: ‘beyond anything we imagined.’ “It’s a strong start for the free tool and shows a robust appetite among some artists to protect their work from being used to train AI without consent. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, there are more than 2.67 million artists in the U.S. alone, but Zhao told VentureBeat that the users of Nightshade are likely even broader.”

FLORIDA MAN FRIDAY: 60% of the Time It’s Naked Every Time. “It’s your much-needed break from the serious news and this week we have more public nudity than you can shake a stick or whatever at, a low-rent art heist, and Colorado Man’s personal Cannonball Run.”

THE NEW SPACE RACE: Elon Musk’s SpaceX could launch a private moon lander within weeks.

The robotic Nova-C spacecraft was encapsulated inside the payload fairing of its SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket today (Jan. 31) to prep for liftoff, which is right around the corner.

“As our combined teams closed the two fairing halves, I saw the lunar lander for the last time on Earth,” Trent Martin, vice president for space systems at the Houston company Intuitive Machines, which built the lander, said during a call with reporters this afternoon.

Launch, from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station on Florida’s Space Coast, will occur during a three-day window in mid-February, if all goes according to plan. SpaceX and Intuitive Machines have not yet announced what those dates are, though Martin said today that Nova-C’s lunar landing try will take place on Feb. 22 regardless of which day it takes flight.

If launch cannot occur during the February window, the next opportunity will come in March.

The coming mission, called IM-1, aims to put Nova-C down near an impact crater called Malapert A, which lies within 10 degrees latitude of the moon’s south pole. This area is of great interest to scientists and exploration advocates, for it’s thought to harbor large amounts of water ice.

That would make Malapert A an extremely valuable piece of lunar real estate.

GOODER AND HARDER, PORTLAND: Last Portland REI closing permanently.

A sporting goods staple in Portland’s Pearl District is set to close its doors for good. The REI store located at Northwest 14th and Johnson will open at 10 a.m. Thursday and permanently close at 7 p.m.

The decision to close the Portland store was announced by the company in April 2023, citing the highest number of thefts and break-ins in its 20-year history at this location.

Despite efforts by Mayor Ted Wheeler and the Portland Police Bureau to enhance security and convince the company to keep the store open, the closure proceeded.

No word yet from Rep. Ayanna Pressley about this blatant act of racism.

SPOILER: IT WON’T WORK. FCC moves to criminalize most AI-generated robocalls. “The change will particularly empower state attorneys general to take legal action against spammers who use AI, the spokesperson said. New Hampshire’s attorney general’s office has announced an investigation into the fake Biden call.”

Actual solution: Require a 25-cent credit card deposit to make a call, with all deposits for previously unanswered calls to a single number fully refundable — once the recipient accepts a call and doesn’t report it as spam. Just making spammers provide a credit card number would stop most spam.

KRUISER’S MORNING BRIEFING: Constitutional Death by a Thousand Pronouns. “The fuel for this societal fire is the unfortunate 21st century, social media era notion that everybody’s feelings are important and should be shared with the entire planet as frequently as possible. Gone are the halcyon days when people — men especially — were embarrassed by the very thought of publicly disclosing thoughts, desires, or struggles. It’s a veritable feelingsgasm out there now.”
