RICHARD DAWKINS WON’T LIKE IT: But I make a brief case on HillFaith this morning that the books of both Dawkins and Stephen Meyer, one of his chief sparring partners in the “New Atheists” versus “Intelligent Design” debate, are in themselves evidence of who is right and who is wrong.

POTEMKIN JOURNALISM: This graph from Andrew Stiles on conditions in the Courier Newsroom: “Several current and former employees complained that McGowan and other political operatives in leadership roles ‘have no news background’ and aren’t interested in doing actual journalism. On the contrary, these employees said ‘honest journalism’ was ‘actively discouraged’ in favor of “propaganda” that is ‘only concerned with the agenda of the progressive left’ and the overlapping interests of Courier’s billionaire backers, including George Soros and Apple widow Laurene Powell Jobs.
DEMS’ HILL OFFICES STILL CLOSED: Doesn’t really matter since members of the public are still unable to visit their representatives without a prior appointment, which they can’t make if the official’s office is closed.
Washington Free Beacon’s Joseph Simonson and Matthew Foldi remind that “the decision to work remotely is enabled by Democratic leadership, which put into place a proxy voting system that has allowed voters to vote without showing up to work. One Florida Democrat, Rep. Frederica Wilson, failed to register a single in-person vote in 2021. Her office remains closed.”
MODERATE HOUSE DEM TELLS PARTY LEADERS TO SHOVE IT: Rep. Stephanie Murphy (D-Fla.) sat down with Politico to discuss her decision not to seek re-election in 2022. Her description of what Pelosi and company did to her and the handful of other moderates is a devastating indictment.

HAVE YOU NOTICED THESE FBI RAIDS BECOMING MORE FREQUENT? Lara Logan tweets hidden camera footage of the November 2021 FBI raid on the home of Project Veritas’ James O’Keefe. Good thing those agents were armed because you never know with a guy like O’Keefe, whose picture is plastered on Post Office walls across America!
I’m sure those red-letter editorials blasting the government for these assaults on the First Amendment will appear any day now in the New York Times, Washington Post, CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN, MANBC, etc. etc. Not today? Well then surely tomorrow. Right?
SO MUCH TO CHEER IN THIS DECISION: And not just the fact that math Professor Nathaniel Hiers’ First Amendment rights were vindicated by a federal court, but, as Just the News reports, the same court delivered a warning to academic bullies that they can be held personally liable for such violations. Now that just might give the bullies something to think about they weren’t expecting. Go here to read the opinion, which is well worth the time.
EXPLAIN THIS: Did you know there’s a camshaft in the ATP Synthase in your body that functions just like the camshaft in your car’s engine, HillFaith is asking today. Whether your engine has one, two or four camshafts, the function is the same as it is with the ATP Synthase’s camshaft – to open and close valves as an indispensable part of an energy production process that illustrates irreducible complexity. Intelligent Design or random chance?
THERE’S BIPARTISAN IMPATIENCE WITH JOE: Biden’s response to the dramatic Zelensky address to Congress left folks in both political parties looking at each other and muttering, according to Just the News.
FOUR PROOFS BIDEN LIES: Biden says Putin is the cause of the hyper-inflation exploding throughout the U.S. economy. Issues & Insights says Biden is the cause and offers four convincing proofs that things started heading toward Hades in a hand-basket right about the time Joe signed his American Rescue Plan into law.

IS THERE EVIDENCE FOR LIFE AFTER DEATH: Lee Strobel, the former Legal Editor of the Chicago Tribune who after growing up as a skeptic became a Christian, has a new movie coming the first week of April that looks at multiple near-death experiences.
Being rather skeptical of most such claimed experiences myself, I’m not inclined to take such a flick at face value, but Strobel is a serious guy, a former award-winning investigative journalist a prolific author, so I will give it a good look and I suspect you should as well.
WHITE HOUSE TRANSPARENCY CZAR PROPOSED: Sen. Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) introduces legislation to establish a new Director of Openness in Government (DOG) with some new tools to enforce federal transparency laws and statutes like the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).
The new federal DOG would be part of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) in the White House, so it could be a significant step forward for transparency and accountability. That said, the biggest obstacle to greater transparency will remain, the fact no federal bureaucrat or politico has ever gone to jail for violating the FOIA.

THEY NEVER LET A ‘GOOD CRISIS’ GO TO WASTE: Before the Pandemic that federal officials launched in March 2020, the U.S. Capitol was a thriving, crowded place, alive with the sounds of a representative democracy at work and (for the throngs of tourists) at play.
Then the Pelosi/Schumer led cabal of Democrats, who were in charge of the Capitol when the Coronavirus provided the occasion, shut the public out. And they’ve kept them out ever since. Meanwhile, the rest of America for the most part has reopened, often despite the determined efforts of like-minded little Caesars beyond the Capitol.
But Roll Call’s latest report on the emerging plan to “reopen the Capitol” makes clear the Pelosi/Schumer cabal have no intention of ever restoring the Capitol as it was before the Pandemic.
“Plans are in the works to reopen the Capitol in phases, starting March 28, according to a proposed Capitol Police plan reviewed by CQ Roll Call,” the Hill-based publication reports.
“The first phase would permit limited school tours through Senate and House office buildings, escorted by congressional staff. The second phase, tentatively expected for May 30, would involve a limited reopening of the Capitol Visitor Center.”
The key word in those sentences is “permit.” You can guess who decides who is permitted to access the Capitol for any purpose. Pelosi/Schumer gained the power to control access and they aren’t about to give it up any time soon.
To hear Republicans tell it, the Capitol will reopen the day a new GOP majority is sworn in, come January 2023. But as is so often the case, will the Republicans actually do what they promise?
TIMING IS EVERYTHING: Believe it or not, that familiar maxim applies to the Post Office and the birth of Jesus. It has to do with the appearance of the planet’s first global mail system. J. Warner Wallace explains it on HillFaith.

PURIM IS FOR POLITICAL JUNKIES: Purim is the Jewish holiday prompted by the Old Testament Book of Esther. This may come as a shock to some but God isn’t mentioned in Esther. Something else about Esther – it’s full of palace intrigue, life-and-death decisions, and unexpected reversals. Jeff Dunetz of The Lid has a primer for we Gentiles and secular Jews that should be helpful come Wednesday.

WHERE DID WE HEAR THIS BEFORE? Senate Republicans point to Biden’s anti-fossil fuels obsession as cause of worst inflation in 40 years. Democrats’ response: Russia! Russia! Russia!
THE ‘SCIENCE IS SETTLED’ FRAUD: Remember when we started being told incessantly that “the science is settled” on global warming? Same thing happened with the Pandemic regarding the vaccines and mask efficacy. Now, it’s the “science” surrounding trans-gendering that is “settled,” according to Nathaniel Blake. It’s mostly junk.

WHAT IS NIH HIDING ABOUT PITTSBURGH BABY EXPERIMENTS? Something very wrong is going on within the National Institutes of Health (NIH), according to Sam Dorman of The Federalist. That is made clear by the way in which officials there are obfuscating — or should I say “covering up” — the NIH’s role in a horrendous series of experiments at the University of Pittsburgh, including live-baby organ harvesting.
The NIH has accomplished much good over the years, but the response to the more than 100 members of Congress who demanded answers about the Pittsburgh horrors reminds of a quip by, I think, John Randolph of Roanoke about an opponent who he said “reminds me of dead fish on the beach in the moonlight that both stinketh and shine.”
OPEN THE BOOKS ON SUBSTACK: Adam Andrzjeweski, the irrepressible energy force behind the Chicago-based non-profit that has filed more than 40,000 FOIAs to obtain and post $6 trillion worth of spending at all levels of government, is now on Substack.
Subs are free for those signing up today and you should because OTB has done more in the past decade to advance transparency and accountability in government than any other activist group.
THEY MUST BE ON THE FRONT ROOOOW: No, not Bob Uecker of Miller Light fame, but correspondents for CNN, MSNBC, NBC and ABC, which, according to Haley Strack of The Washington Free Beacon and others, are “feverishly recruiting” Jen Psaki.
“The four outlets occupy a majority of the seats in the front row of the briefing room, joined by Fox News, Reuters, and the Associated Press. Psaki came under fire from several other outlets in the room, which accused her of letting the front row dictate the direction of each briefing. Outlets are ‘tired of listening to the front row basically interview Jen for 35 minutes,’ one reporter told Politico,” according to Strack.
BONUS: If you ever wonder which news organizations are in the assigned seats, Strack includes an illustration identifying them. Other news organizations are there, too, but they typically don’t get nearly as many opportunities to ask questions.

THE NEW ‘TWO AMERICAS:’ If you live in Los Angeles, Philadelphia and other big cities where George Soros funded radical left-wing prosecutors, you live in a Third-World country known as “Sorosstan,” according to Capital Research Center’s Parker Thayer.
RACE TO THE BOTTOM: This is the next bombshell in the growing national rebellion against public schools that indoctrinate instead of educate American children. Author Luke Rosiak filed more than 100 Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests over a two-year period in researching this book. Help Instapundit, buy it on Amazon.
ALL RELIGIONS TEACH THE SAME STUFF: Well, actually, no, Christianity is fundamentally unlike Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, et. al., on the most important question, according to Incarnate Investigation’s Jimmy Wallace, on HillFaith.
GOOD QUESTION ON ARTICLE V CONVENTION: Elaine Donnelly asks if conservative movement can’t elect enough representatives and senators to change America for the better, what makes you think the movement can control an Article V convention once it’s convened? Not sure I agree with her conclusion, but it’s the most important question surrounding the proposal for a constitutional convention of states.
WILL SENATE GOP USE RULE 26 TO BLOCK JACKSON? I’m not holding my breath but Rachel Bovard explains how it can be done.
THE REAL GLOBAL WARMING CRISIS: Congressional subcommittee hearings are typically pretty hum-drum affairs, stage-managed by the majority staff to present a favored narrative on a given issue.
But this morning’s hearing before the House Energy and Commerce Committee’s energy subcommittee is likely to be hugely different. The witnesses are stacked three-to-one in favor of Electric Vehicles (EVs) specifically and climate change/global warming Greenie policies more generally.
The one witness who is not an advocate of the conventional wisdom of the Greenies is Institute for Energy Research (IER) President Tom Pyle. His prepared testimony, which you can read here, is as concise and factual a description of how and why gas prices are skyrocketing and almost certainly will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.
And that means the day will inevitably come when the real global warming crisis is every family having to choose between driving or staying warm/cool at home.
