BIDEN’S FEDS SECRETLY SPEND $40 BILLION: The secret spending comes under the vague classification of “Other Transaction Agreements,” or OTAs. Sen. Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) wants answers on why Biden administration officials in the Treasury Department refuse to disclose these OTAs on USAspending.gov, as they are required to do by law.

IT’S JUST FACTS BIDEN IS ACCOUNTABLE FOR LAKEN RILEY’S DEATH: Sen. Katie Britt (R-Ala.) claimed during her State of the Union response that Georgia nursing student Laken Riley “was brutally murdered by one of the millions of illegal border crossers President Biden chose to release into our homeland.” In response, Politifact defended Biden, claiming “Biden does not decide who is released into the country.”

So who is right, Britt or Politifact?

According to Just Facts Daily, published by the Just Facts Research Institute, the steps by which Biden became accountable for Riley’s death are clear. And so are the 17 examples of Politifact’s long history of spreading falsehoods. Ya gotta read this one folks!

HIDDEN J6 TESTIMONY REVEALED: The Epoch Times’s Zachary Steiber’s report raises two huge questions regarding the events leading up to the January 6, 2021, riot:

Question 1: Why did the Democrats January 6 select committee claim it “found no evidence” that then-President Donald Trump offered to get 10,000 National Guard troops for the Mayor of D.C. when the committee heard direct testimony that Trump did make that offer and it was rejected?

Question 2: Does this evidence that the Democrats January 6 select committee hid from the American public tell us why Trump has never been charged with inciting insurrection????

THREE KINDS OF LIES: There are lies, damned lies and Biden’s statistics. Exhibit A from his recent State of the Onion, according to Issues & Insights (I&I), is his claim that the richest Americans pay on average a net tax of 8.2 percent. What??? Biden should have asked his IRS:

“It calculates the actual tax rate that various income groups pay, including the ultra-rich. Its data show that the 400 people with the biggest incomes in America were paying an average tax rate of more than 23 percent. Congress’ Joint Committee on Taxation figures that the tax rate on the top 0.4 percent of families is 26 percent,” I&I explains.

“So where does Biden come up with an 8.2 percent tax rate? He changes the definition of taxable income to include all unrealized gains from investments. If you have money in the stock market, any gains in the value of those stocks would count as income to Biden, even if you don’t sell the stock. Presumably so would any gains in the value of your home. Or the value of any other assets you possess.”

BUT WILL THEY ACTUALLY DO IT? House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) told a weaponization subcommittee hearing today that House Republicans will push for reforms to the Bank Secrecy Act of 1970 and related laws and regulations to require federal officials to get judicially approved search warrants, consistent with the Fourth Amendment, before getting search data from the private accounts of banks and other financial institutions.

As things presently stand, the Feds don’t have to get search warrants or demonstrate to anybody anything remotely resembling probable cause to justify searching your financial data.

MCONNELL OUT, BUT EARMARKS ARE BACK IN, BIG-TIME: More than 6,000 of them with total value of $12.7 billion in the spending bill now before the Senate and passed yesterday by the House. No, $12.7 billion is a tiny portion of a $460 billion spending bill, but, as Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) often said: “Earmarks are the gateway drug for Federal Spending Addiction” among senators and representatives.

YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT TRACK F: That’s the NSF bureaucratese for $39 million worth of federal grants that went to academic teams and private firms to develop digital censorship tools capable of monitoring and cancelling every word you put on the Internet. The details are in my Epoch Times Premium Report. I put this link up here several days ago but I’m reposting it today for those who missed it previously. This is important.

MOTORHOME PROPHECIES: If you were to meet Carrie Sheffield on the street or in the grocery store aisle, you would never guess that her life story is a remarkable testimony to the power of Christian faith and individual determination. She talks about it in detail on The Bill Walton Show as her new book hits the shelves this week. I’ve known Carrie for a lot of years and I can guarantee that you will be inspired and amazed by her incredible journey.

REMEMBER THOSE ‘HE GETS US’ TV SPOTS? Like the blah taste of “healthy” cereal, there’s a bunch of VIP stuff missing. The Stream’s John Zmirak points on HillFaith to the many things about us those spots just plain don’t get. And don’t miss those Satan impersonators from Babylon Bee!

YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT NSF’S TRACK F: The National Science Foundation (NSF) has so far spent at least $39 million funding research and development by private sector firms and academic teams of automated digital censorship tools based on Artificial Intelligence. Can you guess who these tools are to be used against? Look in a mirror, then go here to my Special Report on The Epoch Times.

REPOSTED.

ANOTHER EMBARRASSING ‘CHRISTIAN NATIONALISM’ MOMENT FOR THE MSM: One of the basic tools of agit-prop masters everywhere is to invent a derogatory term, then link it to everybody remotely connected to your opposition. My latest PJMedia column looks at Heidi Przybyla’s mortification.

NEWS NOBODY EXPECTED: New survey data highlighted by The Washington Stand’s Ben Johnson finds a majority of teachers see teaching Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity (SOGI) lessons in public schools:

“More than 10 times as many teachers said debates over LGBT ideology, including sexual orientation and gender ideology, ‘have had a negative impact on their ability to do their job,’ compared to 4 percent who said they improve learning, according to the Pew Research Center: 41 percent to 4 percent. Social Studies and English teachers were the most likely to say SOGI topics harmed their teaching time; they were also the classes most likely to discuss those issues, the survey found,” Johnson reports.

YOU WON’T SEE THIS IN THE NYT, WP: New Issues&Insights/TIPP survey finds 62 percent of the respondents saying Biden should leave the White House if the corruption allegations pursued by House Republicans prove true.

HOW BIDEN GAVE US THE BORDER CATASTROPHE: He told America what he was going do do in 2019 and on his first day in office, President Joe Biden did exactly what he said he would do – open the U.S. border to all comers, be they terrorists, spies, gang members, murderers or rapists. The Epoch Times’ Emel Akan and Lawrence Wilson document the whole process in a Special Report this morning.

Among much else, Akan and Wilson put the lie to Biden’s claim that Republicans in Congress blocked that “comprehensive immigration reform” package he proposed on Day One:

“On his first day in office, President Biden introduced the U.S. Citizenship Act of 2021, which he referred to as a ‘comprehensive immigration reform plan.’ The bill included an array of changes to existing law that would have made it quicker and easier for those who enter the country legally to gain citizenship and, in a sweeping amnesty, would have provided a pathway to citizenship for millions of people who had entered the country illegally.

“The bill offered little to decrease the flow of illegal immigrants into the country apart from requiring the Department of State to ‘advance reforms in Central America’ to address the reasons people are migrating to the United States and to create refugee-processing centers in the region.

“President Biden has said Republicans in Congress blocked the bill. But Democrats, who controlled both the House and the Senate in 2021, made no apparent effort to advance the bill, and it died in committee in both chambers, never receiving a hearing.”

HYPOCRISY, THY NAME IS ACADEMIA: In a picture-perfect illustration of how the Cultural Marxists who dominate the Academia view Freedom of Speech, it turns out that former University of Pennsylvania President Liz Magill approved severe sanctions on a conservative law professor whose speech offended DEI advocates, according to the Washington Free Beacon’s Aaron Sibarium.

And a short time later, McGill also defended a pro-Palestinian, anti-semitic “literary” festival on campus. Whatever they may claim to the contrary, their works make clear that there is no such thing as a fixed principle for the Left unless it advances their acquisition and retention of power to order the lives of everybody else.

BIG UPSWING IN VIOLENCE AGAINST CHURCHES: New analysis by the Family Research Council sees huge increase in violent acts committed against churches. There were at least 436 such acts in the 11 months between January and November 2023, more than double the total of 2022. Tolerance for me, but not for thee.

WHY DON’T WE KNOW: Who built that infamous January 6 gallows and why didn’t the authorities tear it down instead of leaving it up for hours before the riot even began? It’s almost as if somebody wanted the noose to be there! My latest PJMedia column.

OK, NOW YOU’VE FINALLY DONE IT! That absurd $355 million judgement against Donald Trump is a tipping point that is likely to drive GOP and conservative voters who aren’t MAGA fanatics to line up behind the former president, according to Issues. & Insights.

Think what you will about Trump, but one point made by the I&I crew is especially important:

“Those who think this is just about Trump, or that Trump is a special case, or that once we get Trump out of the picture civility will return, are deluding themselves. If Mister Rogers ran as a conservative he’d be just as viciously attacked.

The affable Ronald Reagan was pilloried during his time in office as a warmonger, a hater, a doddering old fool and, of course, a fascist. The milquetoast, barely conservative George W. Bush was said to have ‘begun to implement the 10 steps to take down a democratic nation.’ The New Republic published a 3,600-word ‘case for Bush hatred.’ A Nobel Peace Prize recipient declared that ‘right now, I could kill George Bush’ and was feted for bravery.”

And so on and so on and so on with the Left.

AP SUED FOR USING HAMAS-LINKED PHOTOG: A lawsuit has been filed on behalf of victims of Hamas’ October 7 terrorist attack that killed more than 1,200 Israelis against the Associated Press (AP).

The suit, which cites AP for its payments to Hassan Eslaiah, a free-lance photographer with deep, long-standing ties to the terrorist group, was filed by the National Jewish Advocacy Center (NJAC). The Washington Free Beacon’s Adam Kredo reports that AP was warned five years about Eslaiah’s terrorist affiliations.

The lawsuit claims that Eslaiah’s links to Hamas “enabled him to secure photographic opportunities that would have otherwise been difficult for someone without Hamas connections and who was displaying press credentials to obtain.”

The NJAC added in a statement that “the AP paid for some of these real time images, including of Israeli hostages being taken into Gaza, despite having been warned well in advance that at least one of the so-called ‘journalists’ they were paying were in fact Hamas affiliates, and despite the clear indications that they were functioning as full participants in the Hamas terrorist squad that conducted the October 7th attack, and not as the AP chose to pretend, as journalists.”

The AP denied all of the claims in the lawsuit and issued a statement calling the litigation “baseless.”

BIDEN AND THE UN ARE BEHIND THE BORDER DISASTER: Panama’s former SENAFRONT Director points to evidence UN policies and the activities of dozens of U.S.-based and international Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) prompted the flood of illegal immigrants coming to the U.S., beginning in 2016. The Epoch Times’ Darlene Sanchez talks to Panama’s Oriel Ortega.

HOW THE CULTURAL MARXISTS TOOK OVER THE CIA, FBI: If that headline doesn’t get your immediate attention, you haven’t been paying attention to the growing evidence that these two agencies are strongholds of the surveillance/censorship complex within the federal government that is focused on millions of individual Americans whose views are completely politically incorrect.

And if that headline did get your attention and you have been paying attention, you will definitely benefit from watching Bill Walton’s interview with J. Michael Waller, author of “Big Intel: How the CIA and FBI went from Cold War heroes to deep state villains.” I thought I knew a lot of the relevant history, but Waller zeroes in on people like Herbert Marcuse, the “father of the New Left, who was also on the payroll of the CIA’s predecessor. There is much, much more in this interview that every American should know.

FOLLOW THE SCIENCE! Unless, that is, “Indigenous Knowledge” is somehow involved, in which case oil and gas leases must be cancelled. Just when you think the Biden Hive could go no loonier … The Washington Free Beacon’s Joseph Simonson reports.

THIS IS WHY AMERICA IS COMING APART AT ITS SEAMS: An Axios analysis of Gen Z this morning prompts my latest PJ Media column.

SUCH A DEAL: I am sometimes asked about books I have found especially useful or enlightening and over the years with HillFaith I have offered free copies of three in particular.

That offer is being renewed: Go here on HillFaith, tell me which one (or two or three) you want, email me your snail mail address, and I send them via Uncle Sam on their way to you. You don’t even have to pay for shipping!

The three paperbacks include “More Than A Carpenter” by Josh McDowell and his son Sean. This is an updated edition of the classic, succinct presentation of the evidence for Jesus’ literal resurrection

The second one is “What Time Is Purple” by Tom Hammond. At a mere 46 pages, this one is more of a monograph and it deals with logical fallacies behind questions such as “who made God.”

Third is Lee Strobel’s “The Case for Christ.” Having been a journo for lo these many years, I may be a bit biased here as Strobel is a former investigative journalist who, as an atheist, set out to disprove Christianity. This book documents the hows and whys of his journey from atheism to faith.
