WHEN YOU FAILED TO NOTICE THAT THE SHOE ALREADY IS ON THE OTHER FOOT:

Democrats wrote the new rules. Trump is just playing by them.

KRUISER’S MORNING BRIEFING: Force the Democrats to Explain Their DOGE Vapors. “This is a golden opportunity for Republicans in Washington to force their Democratic counterparts to defend their lust for ripping off the citizens of this great land. The Dem-friendly mainstream media certainly isn’t going to press them on it. ‘What are you afraid that DOGE will find?’ should ringing around all over the Capitol.”

TO BE FAIR, THE TARGETS WERE BULL****: Only 5% of countries deliver climate plans for meeting targets under the Paris Agreement. “The nonbinding multinational agreement commits signing nations to limit greenhouse gas emissions to 1.5 degrees celsius of warming above pre-industrial levels. President Donald Trump withdrew the U.S. from the agreement upon taking office last month.”

It’s not exactly cute when world leaders plot to restrict liberty and impede economic growth to fine-tune a relationship between carbon and global temperatures, which we don’t fully understand and might not exist at all.

DATA REPUBLICAN TEACHES HOW TO READ THE DATA: TURNING POINT DOES NOT RECEIVE USAID DOLLARS.

USAID grant money is everywhere. It’s so deeply woven into the nonprofit world that tracing it is like testing $100 bills for cocaine—at a certain scale, every charity has some residue.

That’s why the disclaimer at the top of the website exists:

**”NOTE: Funding is fungible, meaning USAID dollars do not directly flow into these NGOs in a literal sense. Instead, the money moves through multiple layers, with various entities handling and redistributing it.

Rather than focusing solely on individual grants or making definitive statements about how NGOs benefit from USAID, it’s more important to recognize the broader pattern of funding distribution and influence—and to cut through the layers of unaccountability.”**

So, how do you determine if an NGO is truly dependent on USAID money? Context matters.

Let’s go back to the cocaine analogy: Every $100 bill has trace amounts, but a drug dealer’s cash will be covered in it. The same logic applies here.

🔹 Look at the graph on the left. That’s Defending Democracy Together Institute, Bill Kristol’s group. Over half of their funding comes from major grants. That’s a lot of cocaine.

🔹 Now, compare it to Turning Point USA on the right. Their USAID connections are multiple hops away and bottlenecked by the smallest possible intermediary grants. Even with the most extreme assumptions, only 0.2% of their funding could possibly come from this path.

This isn’t just theory for me. I worked with Charlie Kirk during the 2024 election on early voting analysis. I saw firsthand how his operation worked, and I can say with confidence: President Trump would not have won re-election without him. He flipped voter registrations on their head and made a direct push for young male voters.

I missed this thread over the weekend, but it hasn’t lost any relevance.

Exit quote: “The system is built to entangle everyone, making true accountability impossible.”

NOT ONLY DID SPACEX SAVE TAXPAYERS $40 BILLION, THEY DID IT WHILE MAINTAINING PROFIT MARGINS IMPRESSIVE ENOUGH TO FINANCE THE DEVELOPMENT OF STARSHIP AND STARLINK:

And if Starship achieves its goal of reducing the cost to orbit by one or two orders of magnitude…

BUT THE GREAT REPLACEMENT THEORY IS JUST A MYTH, RIGHT? RIGHT?

The federal bureaucracy was weaponized against the people it was supposed to serve. But payback’s a… you know.

CHANGE: Denmark’s ‘zero refugee’ policy drives down asylum admissions to record low.

Denmark’s immigration approach has been influenced by Right-wing parties for more than 20 years, with Mette Frederiksen, the prime minister and leader of the centre-Left Social Democrats, pursuing a “zero refugee” policy since coming to power in 2019.

The country of around six million people received 2,300 asylum requests last year.

“Last year, authorities granted the smallest number of residency permits to asylum seekers that we have seen in recent years,” Kaare Dybvad Bek, the immigration minister, said, calling the figure “historic”.

Home Office figures showed that the UK, which has a population more than 10 times that of Denmark, granted a total of 67,978 asylum claims in the year to June 2024 – more than triple the 21,436 in the previous year.

To be fair, Britain seems determined to commit cultural suicide.

BEEGE WELBORN: USAID and the Power That Be…or Was.

The Pandora’s box that is USAID, which, now that it’s opened, keeps belching out more evidence of the malevolent, unrestricted inner workings of a rotten, subversive bureaucracy, had to have someone in charge of it for these past few years of particularly egregious anti-American spending.

And so it did – Samantha Power, who took over the agency in May of 2021.
…
Power also has the requisite Harvard (JD) and Yale (BA) degrees, not to mention a non-fiction Pulitzer.

She’s like a progressive cyborg, no?

Notice what I highlighted – Power, with all that unaccountable money at her disposal, was also on Biden’s National Security Council, making sure that USAID would be playing an ‘important role’ in things including geopolitical issues.

Scary AF.

Where were the Democrats screaming about ‘unelected bureaucrats’ then?

Feeding off their largess, of course.

I CAN’T EVEN REMEMBER HOW LONG IT’S BEEN SINCE GOOGLE CHANGED ITS MOTTO TO “GO ON AND BE EVIL”: Rumble CEO Labels Google ‘Evil’ Over Sinister AI Update.

So what specifically did Google change in its new AI standards? In the Jan. 30 version of Google AI principles preserved by Internet Archive, Google promised not to “design or deploy” AI to be used for “[w]eapons or other technologies whose principal purpose or implementation is to cause or directly facilitate injury to people,” or for technologies “that gather or use information for surveillance violating internationally accepted norms.”

But these passages are conspicuously lacking from the newly updated Google AI standards. It seems Google CEO Sundar Pichai’s appearance at Trump’s inauguration (unsurprisingly) betokened no desire for reform.

On the one hand, this is a “Skynet Smiles” moment. On the other hand, China and other rivals will AI-enhance their weapons (and logistics), regardless.

GET’EM SKEERED AND KEEP THE SKEER ON’EM: GOP senators terrified of crossing Trump, facing Musk-funded challengers.

The White House has signaled that Republicans who thwart Trump’s agenda by voting against his controversial nominees or opposing efforts by Musk to freeze government funding and slash federal agencies, such as the U.S. Agency for International Development, will pay a political price.

And that’s a threat that carries a lot more weight when Musk, the world’s richest man, could easily pour tens of millions of dollars into a Senate Republican primary.

Musk warned Republican lawmakers in December that he was compiling a “naughty list” of members who buck Trump’s agenda. He also pledged shortly after Election Day that his political action committee would “play a significant role in primaries” next year.

At the time, the threat was seen mostly aimed at rebellious House conservatives who loomed as an obstacle to reelecting Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) and threatened to derail Trump’s tax agenda by insisting on major spending cuts.

But Republican senators have taken Musk’s warning to heart.
“That’s one of the reasons why you see people who are close to an election, [Sens.] Bill Cassidy [R-La.], Thom Tillis [R-N.C.], voting for certain nominees,” said one Republican senator who requested anonymity to discuss the recent votes of GOP colleagues.

“The White House hasn’t been too subtle about that. I think they’ve been fairly threatening,” the lawmaker added, noting that Cassidy already faces a primary challenge from Louisiana state Treasurer John Flemming.

The real test won’t come until it’s time to vote on DOGE’s proposed budget cuts. That’s when Trump and Musk need to take waffling GOP congresscritters and hold them over a (political) open grave.

CAN’T STOP THE CRINGE: J.B. Pritzker Tries to Out-Trump Trump and it Goes Hilariously Wrong. “‘Please tell me this isn’t real’ was the only thing I could think while watching Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker try to out-Trump Donald Trump on X yesterday, but it was real and it was craptacular.”

IT WOULD TAKE A HEART OF STONE NOT TO LAUGH:

X works better than Twitter did after Musk cut 80% of the staff — including her. So this is not the own she thinks it is.

What these “victims” don’t get is that the daylight DOGE is shining on government waste, self-dealing, grift, etc., has changed the rules.

Complaints like these no longer carry any weight.

BRING IT ON: DOGE’s First Round of Cuts Went to Trump Priorities, but Bigger Targets Await.

The White House’s Department of Government Efficiency has drawn scrutiny for the rapid work of its technology team burrowing into multiple agencies, but it also says it has identified and cut more than $1 billion in spending in the first three weeks.

That is a mere fraction of the $2 trillion in spending cuts that Elon Musk, DOGE’s public face, has set as a goal, but it shows how the entity has begun going program-by-program across multiple federal agencies and paring back what it considers low-hanging fruit. The initial actions it has taken, identifying relatively small-dollar programs, could soon change markedly as DOGE team members are now embedding in some of the government’s largest programs, particularly those focused on healthcare.

Musk’s team is also working with the General Services Administration, which manages government buildings and commercial real estate, to identify which leases can be canceled or let lapse, looking for underused office space and ways to consolidate.

More than half of the cost savings that DOGE says it has found is related to diversity, equity and inclusion, totaling more than $1 billion, according to a review of the group’s posts on X, where it publishes its results. Since taking office, President Trump has ordered federal agencies to terminate diversity programs and contracts, which reflects his desire to put the culture wars at the center of his presidency.

DOGE said it also terminated about $30 million in contracts for digital modernization projects and at least $4 million in leases for little-used office space.

DOGE didn’t provide comment or details of how it arrived at the spending cuts when asked by The Wall Street Journal.

The Pentagon, Medicare/Medicaid, and DHS are all juicy targets.

MOVE FAST AND BREAK THINGS FIX FOREIGN ELECTIONS:

Meta has reportedly placed former intelligence operatives in charge of its election integrity efforts.

The platform’s online security chief, ex-CIA officer Aaron Berman, reportedly implemented sweeping content controls across Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp during Brazil’s 2022 elections.

The program included content removal, warning labels, and message forwarding restrictions.

Meta Online Trust and Safety Executive Aaron Berman:

“We remove content on Facebook and Instagram that discourages voting or interferes with voting”

Meta placed warning labels on more than 150 million U.S. election-related posts.

The company expanded its fact-checking partnerships in Brazil from four to six organizations, raising concerns about intelligence community influence over democratic processes.

There’s little doubt in my mind that those “former” intelligence officials were working at the Biden Cabal’s direction.

THE NEW SPACE RACE: GOP senators back Trump’s space-based ‘Iron Dome’ plan with $19.5B bill. “The move comes just days after Trump’s Jan. 28 executive order, which directed the Pentagon to develop a comprehensive missile defense system heavily reliant on space sensors for tracking hypersonic missiles — like those being developed by China — which fly at extremely high speeds and can maneuver to evade traditional ground-based radar systems.”

I’ve often wondered if SpaceX has a few hidden tricks up the sleeves of those 7,000 Starlink satellites.

KRUISER’S MORNING BRIEFING: Trump Can Outlast the Dems’ Desperate Stalling Tantrums. “Let them keep flailing, it’s going nowhere for them. They are all so blinded by Trump Derangement Syndrome that they don’t know that they’re awash in futility. What they’re completely unaware of is that these little Facebook high-five emoji moments that they’re having while interfering with the Trump agenda aren’t playing well in real America.”

YOU’RE FIRED: SIGAR John Sopko, ‘The Donald Trump of inspectors general.’

The Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR), John Sopko, was among those recently fired as part of the Trump administration’s purge of 17 inspectors general (IGs). That’s despite the fact that Sopko proved to be among the most transparent and effective IG in terms of identifying on behalf of taxpayers waste, fraud and abuse

For going up against powerful “establishment” forces inside the federal government and among contractors in the defense and humanitarian aid world, Sopko was once called “the Donald Trump of Inspectors General.”

He was frequently targeted by Congress and in the news media on behalf of interests connected to the Pentagon, the State Department, and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) after he audited their projects that identified waste and fraud.

According to Sopko, Americans spent more than $143 billion in tax money to rebuild Afghanistan as the U.S. war against Islamic extremist terrorists was waged for 20 years. He says that a stunning 30% – or $43 billion of our money – was lost to waste, fraud, or abuse.

And the rest they can’t account for.
