LEFTY POLLSTER FINDS LEFTY THEMES DON’T WORK WITH VOTERS: This is intriguing – the Winning Jobs Narrative Project surveyed 60,000 voters in 17 states and discovered this:

“‘Making villains of corporations’ and embracing ‘culture war topics like abortion’ are ineffective strategies for Democrats. Liberals would attract more voters, in fact, if they sounded like conservatives — talking about ‘respect for work’ and placing ‘government in a supporting rather than primary role,'” reports Washington Free Beacon’s Robert Schmad.

THIS IS DIVERSITY? Here’s some things these four women — Dorothy Roberts, Kristin Henning, Sheryll Cashin, and Derecka Purnell — have in common: All are black, all have written books about ripping apart various American institutions, and all are webinar panelists for the American Association of Law Schools (AALS) convention, according to Liberty Unyielding’s Hans Bader.

“On August 17, AALS is hosting a webinar on new constitutional law books for its Constitutional Law section. But none of the books are about constitutional law.  Why is it hosting the panel, then? Because it provides an opportunity to showcase what the AALS views as racial diversity,” Bader explains. How quickly the Left becomes a caricature of itself.

And we wonder why so often “lawyer” is a synonym for “Left-wing activist.”

HAND OVER YOUR WALLET, SUCKA! Elizabeth Troutman of the Washington Free Beacon reports that the ACLU and Human Rights Watch want the UN — not the American people —  to  demand that President Joe Biden move with “immediate, tangible measures” to dismantle “structural racism” in America, including the payment of reparations to every group that ever claimed to be oppressed.

FAR-LEFTIES DOMINATE NEW HILL AIDES’ UNION: The president of the Congressional Workers Union (CWU) works for Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) and is a member of the Democratic Socialists of America. But wait, there’s more! And it’s all from the Far-Left of the modern Democratic Party. What could go wrong?

FLIGHT FROM PUBLIC SCHOOLS UPDATE: Marjorie Jackson of The Washington Stand examines why NYC Mayor Eric Adams’ recent warning that public schools there are experiencing a “massive hemorraghing” of students is only the tip of the iceberg.

One wonders if perhaps what Dobbs means for the pro-life movement is found for the pro-school choice movement in the COVID-19 Pandemic lockdowns?

POLL SHOWS MOST IN U.S. WORRIED BY BIDEN’S BRAIN: A substantial majority, 59 percent, of respondents to the latest ISI/TIPP Survey say they are either “very concerned” or “somewhat concerned” about President Joe Biden’s mental health.

What may be of particular interest, however, is the following graph:

“Broken down by ethnicity and race, solid majorities of both Hispanics (61 percent) and whites (63 percent) expressed concerns over Biden’s mental condition. One group was a noticeable exception: blacks, among whom just 44 percent said they’re worried about Biden’s mental state, while 53 percent said they aren’t.”

Having nearly identical responses between Hispanics and whites suggest the movement of the former away from Democrats is indeed genuine and substantial.

NO, CHRISTIANITY IS NOT DISAPPEARING FROM AMERICA: Contrary to the Mainstream Media, more than a few academics and lots of atheist bloggers, Christianity is not on a course of steady fading from the American scene. And there is a basic flaw in much of the data about the Nones – essentially, there aren’t as many as claimed. Check it out on HillFaith.

EX-IM BANK STILL A CRONY CAPITALISM EMBARRASSMENT: New analysis by Open the Books finds Boeing continues to be the biggest beneficiary of the Export-Import Bank’s billions in tax-backed loans. China, Russia, Turkey and Nigeria are doing rather well by Ex-Im as well.

HOW MAINSTREAM MEDIA GASLIGHTS CHRISTIANS: And conservatives, libertarians and anybody else who dissents from the Progressive Narrative of the moment. Natasha Crain points to five ways the gaslighting is most obvious.

THIS HAS A STRONG WHIFF OF SMOKING GUN: From Just Facts. Emails reveal inner details of why Burisma paid Hunter Biden so generously for services having nothing to do with energy.

TWO HILL AIDES DIED WITH WALORSKI: The Indiana Republican who was killed earlier today in a head-on car crash in her home district was accompanied by two of her top congressional aides, both of whom also died in the crash.

QUANTUM THEORY AND THEOLOGY? At first glance, it’s easy to conclude there are no two less similar fields of thought and investigation than quantum theory and Christian theology. But first glances can fall short, as this new video on HillFaith from the Colson Center explains.

JOE’S FAVORITE ECONOMIST NO MORE: Joseph Simonson at the Washington Free Beacon explains why Mark Zandi may have just lost his title as President Joe Biden’s favorite economist.

THREE MURDERS BY AGE 83: Hans Bader looks at the case of the 83-year-old guy, Marceline Harvey, who, having already spent 30 years in prison for murdering one woman and 20 years for murdering a second woman, then goes through trans-gendering and commits murder number three, yes, of yet another woman.

Bader notes: “Harvey’s return to crime after being released is not unusual for offenders, according to a recent report by the U.S. Sentencing Commission. On February 10, it issued a 116-page report titled ‘Recidivism of Federal Violent Offenders Released in 2010.’

“Over an eight-year period, violent offenders returned to crime at a 63.8 percent rate. The median time to rearrest was 16 months for these violent offenders. So, most violent offenders released from prison committed more crimes. Even among those offenders over age 60, 25.1 percent of violent offenders were rearrested for committing new crimes.”

LEFT STILL PUSHING COURT-PACKING SCHEME: Don’t think the Progressive push to expand the Supreme Court from nine to 13 or more justices is over. If anything, the Dobbs decision strengthened the effort and, according to Capital Research Center’s Hayden Ludwig, the dark money is pouring in by the buckets. There are, however, some, uh, oddities.

SO YOU WANNA EAT OR HAVE POWER (OCCASIONALLY): Good question, especially in Virginia where the rapid proliferation of solar power fields just since 2020 is taking fertile farmland out of production, according to the Thomas Jefferson Institute’s Barbara Hollingsworth.

This problem is becoming acute in Virginia, which is among the states with the fastest growing solar field construction. But if the enviros succeed in forcing the nation to go the full Green New Deal, it is a problem that will be felt nationwide. And likely sooner than later.

WAS JESUS A VEGETARIAN? Quite a few folks who abstain from eating meat claim Jesus as one of them. On HillFaith this morning, Kyle Butt offers a quick, compelling four minute video explanation for why that makes no sense at all.

I’m skeptical of the vegetarian Jesus claim, too, plus, my family is from Oklahoma and Texas where I am pretty sure it is illegal to be a vegetarian. Unless you live in the Norman or Austin city limits.

HERE COMES A ‘TREASURE TROVE:’ Of Biden administration documents, that is, according to Louisiana Attorney General Greg Landry, The Epoch Times reports. He and Missouri AG Eric Schmitt sued the administration in May, contending that the government and Big Tech colluded to violate the First Amendment rights of Americans.

Now, thanks to the ruling of U.S. District Judge Terry Doughty, an appointee of President Donald Trump, the discovery phase is underway and Landry is quite optimistic: “We’ve got a treasure trove of information that we think are going to come to us here shortly,” he told EpochTV’s “American Thought Leaders.”

This could be one on which to keep a close eye.

EPOCH EDITORIAL BOARD THANKS SUPPORTERS: There was indeed quite an uproar when Twitter last week, without notice or credible explanation, decided to block all links to stories in The Epoch Times. The result was Twitter backed off after only two days.

The editors this morning are thanking everybody, including three U.S. senators, who spoke out against Twitter’s censorship. Thanks to Epoch’s supporters, independent journalism continues for another day to find and report the truth, whatever it proves to be.

TWITTER UNCENSORS EPOCH: Not clear why, but it seems there was quite a public uproar of protests that got Twitter’s attention.

THIS IS ABOUT TO GET REALLY INTERESTING: The litigation, that is, between Rumble and Google, as Glenn Greenwald notes a judge’s decision Friday opens the door to discovery. Usually, such suits against one of the tech giants fails to get beyond dismissal, long before anybody gets to prepare discovery motions.

GOT 55 MINUTES THIS WEEKEND? If you do and if you are into things like science fiction, actual science and related issues, this video discussion on HillFaith with Dr. Sean McDowell and Dr. Stephen Meyer on the Multiverse Theory will likely get your intellectual juices flowing for a constructive discussion, pro and con, on a very popular theory of origins.

BLACK WOMEN BECOMING GUN OWNERS: Black women are the most dependably Democrat voters, but Hans Bader looks at how that fact may be changing, thanks to the rising violent crime rates that typify progressive Democratic law enforcement. As they say, things that cannot continue, won’t, one way or another.

ROT IN DOJ RUNS DEEP: Remember a decade ago when Lois Lerner and the IRS were targeting conservative, evangelical and Tea Party nonprofits? One of the Department of Justice (DOJ) officials who had a hand in that abuse of government power was Richard Pilger. Guess where Pilger is today, according to Just the News. He’s the chief of the Elections Crime Branch of DOJ’s Public Integrity Section. You just cannot make this stuff up.

TWITTER BLOCKING EPOCH TIMES: No warning and no explanation offered other than the perfidious could be “potentially spammy or unsafe.”
