WHY ARE LEFTISTS SO VIOLENT AND CRAZY? Student gun control activist charged with attempted murder of Louisville mayoral candidate.

Law enforcement charged University of Louisville student Quintez Brown with attempted murder of Democratic mayoral candidate Craig Greenberg on Monday.

Greenberg is a former member of the public university’s Board of Trustees. University spokesperson John Karman told The College Fix on Tuesday via email that Brown is in his senior year.

The college senior “was charged late Monday with attempted murder and four counts of wanton endangerment after Greenberg was shot at in his campaign headquarters that morning,” according to the Courier Journal. “No one was injured in the shooting, but a bullet grazed Greenberg’s sweater and shirt.”

The Louisville police have not identified a motive for the crime.

If races and parties were different, this would be a dominant national story.

WHAT RACISM LOOKS LIKE: WaPo Describes Justice Thomas: “the Black justice whose rulings often resemble the thinking of White conservatives.”

The Washington Post wrote the emphasized portion. You know, Justice Thomas, the black justice who thinks like a white person. The Washington Post called Justice Thomas an Oreo. And that statement isn’t even accurate! The Court’s white conservatives issue rulings that often resemble those of Justice Thomas. Thomas is the intellectual leader of the Court’s conservative wing. And he has been for decades. Gorsuch, Alito, and the rest are just trying to keep up with CT. But once again, we get the racist trope that Thomas is Scalia’s clone. Just the opposite. Scalia often remarked that Thomas pushed him to the right. What lazy writing from the Post.

It’s not so much lazy as deliberately dishonest. Plus:

Discourse about race is upside and backwards. Racially-tinted sentiments about progressives are grounds for immediate cancellation. Racially-charged attacks about conservatives are offered as objective facts in a newspaper of record.

This article brings to mind an exchange between Justice Thomas and then-Senator Biden more than three decades ago.

Say, it would be interesting to see Thomas and Biden debate the constitution today, wouldn’t it?

And why does Nina Totenberg hate Judge Michelle Childs? “If only Michael Avenatti was free to help out.”

PUNCH A NAZI: ‘We’ve all banded together’: Students launch bipartisan protest against university’s China investments.

George Washington University (GWU) students held a bipartisan protest Tuesday, urging the Washington D.C. institution to divest its endowment from companies that are complicit in China’s human rights abuses.

The demonstration, which involved both of the university’s College Republicans and College Democrats chapters, comes one week after university President Mark S. Wrighton rescinded his criticism of on-campus artwork that critiqued China’s abuses against its Uyghur population.

“We’ve all banded together,” activist and GWU alum Juan Carlos Mora told Campus Reform during the protest.

Mora also said that Tuesday’s event, organized by the GW Uyghur Divestment Committee, was in direct response to Wrighton’s critique.

The committee is not officially registered with the university, which Mora explained is intentional to maximize the group’s efficiency and effective collaboration.

Mora also stated that individuals from the university law school are also involved in addition to the undergraduate student organizations.

Good. The Chinese are openly genocidal and university administrators around the country are shamelessly in their pockets. The pushback is well warranted.

COVID IS OVER: The AP dares to ask: Have we reached herd immunity? “It’s a subject that was almost totally verboten among government officials and media talking heads for the past two years. Mentioning the phrase could see you banned from social media platforms amid claims that you were spreading “misinformation.” We’re talking about the dreaded idea of herd immunity, of course. It’s the previously accepted theory that during any outbreak of a virulent disease, sooner or later enough people would survive it and develop their own natural immunity that the spread would slow to a crawl. But this week, the Associated Press spoke to some experts and dipped a toe into the forbidden pool.”

THE REAL PUZZLER IS WHY ANYONE AT ALL WOULD APPROVE: Biden 20 times more days ‘at or above 58% disapproval’ than Obama. And that’s not all:

President Joe Biden has never been as popular as his former boss, Barack Obama.

But for 37 straight days, he’s also been less popular than his former foe, the controversial former President Donald Trump.

In new data compiled by Rasmussen Reports, Biden has sat at or above a 58% disapproval rating for 41 days of his presidency. That’s over 10% of his tenure so far.

That’s especially striking since the press has been doing everything it could to prop Biden up, while it did everything it could — including knowingly propagating false stories and misinformation — to tear Trump down.

WORLD WAR III BEGAN WHEN A MAN NAMED ALBERT SHANKER GOT HOLD OF A NUCLEAR WARHEAD: What the COVID-19 Pandemic Reveals About Baby Boomers.

Today, perhaps no leader bears more responsibility for inflicting harm on children than Randi Weingarten, who was born in 1957 and is president of the American Federation of Teachers. In July 2020, Weingarten backed an AFT resolution endorsing local “safety strikes” as a tool to advocate for greater COVID mitigation in the classroom. Weingarten admitted in a radio interview that same month that “there’s no way that you’re going to have full-time school for all the kids and all the teachers the way we used to have it.” She shamelessly added, “Once there’s a vaccine, I hope we can get back to that.”

Now that there is widespread access to the vaccine, which studies show prevents serious illness but is less effective at stopping infection or transmission, Weingarten is refocusing her energy on keeping schoolchildren masked until COVID cases reach zero. Evidence suggests that forcing children to learn while covered in a soggy and contaminated piece of cloth robs them of the ability to read social and verbal cues critical to their development. Children are also not prone to getting seriously sick from COVID.

Exit quote: “While the Baby boomers’ terrible treatment of our nation’s youth stretches back decades, history will not look kindly upon the adults whose demands during the pandemic led to children suffering the most. The Greatest Generation would be disappointed. Let’s hope Generation X has the conviction and strength necessary to lead American children out of a mess they unfairly inherited.”
