JON CALDARA: Lessons learned from school’s Gadsden flag debacle.
It’s fascinating that a 12-year-old boy had to go through the embarrassment and stigma, lose several days of precious education, while the people who hide behind policies, their ignorance of history and their cowardice to engage their own common sense, don’t go several days without employment.
If this incident were not recorded, we really wouldn’t have known what exactly happened. It would have devolved into a he-said, she-said issue, the school hiding behind the usual “We don’t comment on student matters” policy.
And the media is so kind to kids who carry Gadsden flags.
People record their encounters with the police. The police now record most of their encounters with citizens.
Parents, you should not be intimidated to politely record your meetings with school administrators.
In Colorado you do not need their permission or knowledge to do it secretly. Your kids’ futures lie in the balance.

MARK JUDGE IS STILL TRYING TO RECOVER FROM HIS “KAFKA NIGHTMARE.” I’m in touch with him regularly, and he’s working hard, but it’s just tough when you’ve been unpersoned. The thing is, someone like him on the left would have a cushy six-figure job in the Center for Institutional Centers or something. He’s waiting to start a grocery store job. Me donating a hundred bucks isn’t the same, but this kind of support is what the right can do.
LIFE EXTENSION ISN’T “ETERNAL LIFE.” The Immortals: meet the billionaires forking out for eternal life. And, you know, the 46-year-old billionaire in the picture looks pretty good, but lots of guys that age manage to look that ripped without being transfused with 18-year-old’s blood.
And while there’s some evidence that young blood reverses aging, giving rise to the suspicion that it contains anti-aging compounds, there’s also evidence that simply diluting older blood does the same thing — in other words, that it’s not “youthful” compounds in the young blood, but the absence of aging-promoting compounds that are present in old blood, that makes the difference. You can accomplish that stuff just by donating plasma, or possibly platelets.

CAMPUS “ANTI-RACISM” IS A DEGENERATING RESEARCH PROGRAM. Yep. And a lie, too. Race relations are far worse on campuses now than in the late 90s.
STANDING UP TO BIGOTRY, HATE, AND DISCRIMINATION: Paul Mirengoff: Does Johns Hopkins Hate Whites?
A few months ago, I was surprised to learn that white representation in the student body of Princeton is down to about 35 percent and that white representation among undergraduates at Stanford is down to 26 percent. Now, I learn from the Washington Post that at Johns Hopkins, whites made up only 17 percent of last year’s freshman class. A decade earlier, white representation was 46 percent.
It turns out that all the talk about creating a campus that “looks like America” was BS, just as we suspected all along. The real goal seems to have been to “screw Whitey.”
How did Johns Hopkins suppress the white presence on campus so dramatically? According to the Hopkins party line, as reported by the Post, three steps made the difference: “the elimination of preferences in admission for children, grandchildren and siblings of alumni; a massive increase in financial aid for families in need; and more extensive recruiting in places where the university is not well known.”
This is a lie. The main reason why Hopkins has been able to replace white students with blacks and Hispanics is its use of different admissions standards for members of different races and ethnicities — in other words, racial discrimination.
The Post never mentions this reality, choosing to accept uncritically Hopkins’ lie. But the central role of racial discrimination is evident from the fact, reported by the Post, that Hopkins believes the Supreme Court’s decision in the Harvard case jeopardizes its diversity regime because of the decision’s impact on colleges’ ability to make race-conscious admission decisions.
It won’t be truly diverse until there are no white people or Asians at all.
LARRY’S BEEN RAGEFULLY WRONG ON A REGULAR BASIS SINCE 2016: Jonathan Turley: Tribe is ragefully wrong about the 14th Amendment.
People once understood that there were costs to irresponsible efforts to disenfranchise their political opposition. Nowadays the so-called smart people seem to have forgotten that the societal guard rails ever existed, much less why.
HEH:
Some kids know they want a tattoo as young as 2-3 years old. Early signs include using markers to draw on their arms, repeatedly reaching for a pen placed in front of them, and making the sounds “t-ah,” and/or “t-ouh.”
Be an inclusive adult. Tell them about people with tattoos.… pic.twitter.com/ccMJ6QSNLQ

I’M SURPRISED THIS WASN’T BIGGER NEWS: Ukraine Drone Hits Russian Fab. “How long will the strike set Russia back? Hard to say, but the contamination means the entire fab will need to be decontaminated before they can process wafers again. Maybe a month. Debris may have damaged some of the machines, though the tech is so old that there are probably lots of spare parts for things that can be had despite sanctions. If they hit the power center, the air-handling system, or the DI water system, that could take a while to repair, especially if they need modern western parts. And if they took out the power, all the wafer processing machines will have to be requalified, which is a gigantic pain in the ass and quite time-consuming. But most of the in-process wafers will be safe inside FOUPs, and can probably continue processing, once the fab is up and running again.”
Sanctions rarely work, at least not as intended.

WELL, THEY CAN’T HOLD HIM ACCOUNTABLE WITHOUT A BIT OF ACCOUNTABILITY FOR THEMSELVES: The media made Fauci a saint, and has not held him accountable to the American people.
Any journalist will tell you that technical issues don’t sell, stories sell. We need heroes and villains. Trump is the villian, and Fauci is the hero. The puff pieces and constant media interviews turned Fauci into a saint. The person for whom we make bobble head dolls.
And yet, this adoration was precisely what we did not need. Instead we needed careful questions and accountability. Fauci supported the policy of masking 2 year olds. This harmful measure was in part driven by his fabrications and misstatement of mask literature. The media has never asked him critically why he pushed cloth masking toddlers except when they nap.
The media has largely failed to hold Fauci accountable. Hopefully, we get more balanced journalism in the years to come.
Not without a better media apparatus, which means more accountability.
LEFTIST TOOLS ALWAYS WANT TO BE ABOVE CRITICISM: Fani Willis: You’re not allowed to ask about my Trump prosecution. That’s because they know there’s so much to criticize.

GORGEOUS: The U-2 Dragon Lady As You Have Never Seen It Before. “For fans of military aviation — or flying in general — in the civilian world, the chance to get a ride in the cockpit of a combat aircraft is very likely top of many a bucket list. But there’s surely one in-service military jet that has a little more allure than most, for which getting strapped into is just the prelude to a trip into the stratosphere. That jet is the unique U-2 Dragon Lady spy plane, and one civilian photographer recently got a chance to fly in it and execute an air-to-air shoot unlike any other.”
LAWFARE: Will Colorado Force Trump Off the Ballot? “The D.C.-based group Citizens for Responsibility & Ethics in Washington (CREW) has joined the fight to keep Trump off the 2024 ballot by filing a lawsuit Wednesday in the District Court in the City and County of Denver, Colo. A press release on CREW’s website states that Trump has, in fact, violated the 14th Amendment, and Crew has filed the suit on behalf of six Republican and unaffiliated Colorado voters.”
Six? In any case, it’s a rule of thumb that whatever some Washington organization appears to be supporting in its name is not what it is actually supporting.
THE R IN BRICS: Russia Steps Up Support for Sagging Ruble. “The Bank of Russia said that between Sept. 14 and 22 it would sell 21.4 billion rubles ($218.5 million) worth of foreign currency each day, around 10 times the current volume it sells on a daily basis.”
