OH, THAT LIBERAL FASCISM: Hillary Clinton Calls For ‘Formal Deprogramming’ Targeting Trump Supporters.
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton called for a “formal deprogramming” of “MAGA” supporters during a CNN interview that aired Thursday.
Clinton weighed in on the ouster of House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, who lost his gavel Tuesday, drawing a distinction between the “sane” wing of the Republican party and what she described as a Trumpist “cult.”
“I mean, we had very strong partisans in both parties in the past, and we had very bitter battles over all kinds of things,” Clinton said. “But there wasn’t this little tail of extremism, waving, you know, wagging the dog of the Republican party as it is today. And sadly, so many of those extremists, those MAGA extremists take their marching orders from Donald Trump, who has no credibility left by any measure. He’s only in it for himself. He’s now defending himself in civil actions and criminal actions. And when do they break with him?”
“At some point, you know, maybe there needs to be a formal deprogramming of the cult members, but something needs to happen,” she added.
C’mon Hillary be specific! Would these be modeled after the CCP’s Uighur reeducation camps, or the North Korean reeducation camps? Or perhaps something a bit more old school?
“One Soviet technique of oppression was to declare that dissidents were insane. They were then incarcerated in psychiatric hospitals where they were tormented and tortured. Some were used as human guinea pigs for dangerous experiments.” For example, Vladimir Bukovsky “spent a dozen years being shuffled between Soviet jails, labor camps, and psychiatric hospitals.”
One of the “therapies” was “putting a cord into Bukovsky’s mouth, threading it from his throat up through his nasal passages, and then drawing it out through one of his nostrils. Alas, this communist ‘treatment’ did not ‘cure’ Bukovsky of his rational (not irrational) abhorrence of tyranny and brutality.”
The type of “formal deprogramming” Clinton seeks could be promoted as public health issue and imposed under the regime of White Coat Supremacy. That regime remains in place even after the alleged retirement of Dr. Anthony Fauci, the loathsome Lysenko figure who claims to represent science. For her part, Hillary Clinton recalls the 1979 point-counterpoint skit on Saturday Night Live about the Michelle Triola palimony suit against actor Lee Marvin.
And of course, “Notice [Christiane] Amanpour doesn’t question this language, or ask for specifics,” so it’s a safe bet she’d be fully onboard with the notion, especially given CNN’s proclivity for doxxing Trump supporters.

TWO MURDERS—AND THE COST OF LUXURY BELIEFS:
Recently, two high-profile supporters of “justice reform” were murdered.
At 4 a.m. on Monday, Ryan Carson, a 32-year-old social justice and climate change activist, was walking with his girlfriend in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, when he was stabbed to death by a stranger. Only a few hours earlier in Philadelphia, activist and journalist Josh Kruger was shot and killed in his home.
And two Democratic lawmakers who voted to “redirect funding to community-based policing reforms” have been recent victims of violent crime.
On Monday night, blocks away from the Capitol in Washington, D.C., Congressman Henry Cuellar was carjacked by three armed men. (The lawmaker survived the incident unscathed.) In February, Angie Craig was attacked in an elevator at her apartment building in Capitol Hill. A homeless man demanded she allow him into her home to use the restroom, then he punched her and grabbed her around the neck. She escaped after throwing hot coffee on him.
Of course, these people did not deserve harm because of their support for soft-on-crime policies. But I’ve long argued that many people who hold “luxury beliefs”—ideas and opinions that confer status on the upper class, while often inflicting costs on the lower classes—are oblivious to the consequences of their views. Support for defunding the police is a classic example.
Luxury beliefs can stem from malice, good intentions, or outright naivete.
But the individuals who hold those beliefs, the people who wield the most influence in policy and culture, are often sheltered when their preferences are implemented.

Yet I was amazed at the lack of basic journalistic practice and any sense of honor in Baron’s account of an event in which I was involved. Thus my joke about the duel. If the executive editor of one of the country’s major newspapers pens a memoir detailing an event you were central to, and does not acknowledge the many times you have corrected the record about said event, what recourse is there? Sending Baron to take Journalism 101 at the local community college?

After repeating that Boehner and Ryan did not stay long after their tenures, [Brendan] Buck got to the larger point, “I will confess a, maybe, unpopular opinion. I don’t have any problem with Patrick McHenry taking away an office space from Nancy Pelosi. They booted—they just basically worked with Matt Gaetz to construct a coup of the Republican leadership.”
Mitchell did not like that response as she huffed, “Well, the fact is they changed the locks while she was in San Francisco and couldn’t –”
Undeterred, Buck doubled down, “I don’t think that when you participate in a coup of the Republican leadership that you should expect any professional courtesy at this point. I don’t think any—I think any collegiality goes out the door at that point. So, I know that may be unpopular, but I have absolutely no problem with that.”
Buck is correct. For years, Democrats and their media friends demanded Republicans put the country before party and McCarthy even claimed that Pelosi declared that if a motion to vacate came up, Democrats would do just that. Naturally this did not matter to Mitchell and when given that choice on Tuesday, Democrats put their partisan self-interest first because McCarthy allegedly hurt their feelings and they think Republican dysfunction benefits them at the ballot box.

In an update to this story, we’re learning that it wasn’t McHenry but McCarthy himself who was behind the call to get Pelosi kicked out of her hideaway office, something few on the House side have outside of high-ranking members. Further, the person who will be utilizing that office will be … McCarthy:
Kevin McCarthy was behind interim Speaker Patrick McHenry’s move to kick former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and former Majority Leader Steny Hoyer out of their office spaces, two Republican sources told CNN.
GOP Rep. Garret Graves told reporters on Wednesday that McCarthy is getting the office that McHenry has ordered her to vacate.
“Look the deal is that the office that Pelosi is in right now is the office of the preceding speaker. Speaker Pelosi and other Democrats determined that they wanted a new … speaker, and [that makes the new preceding speaker] Kevin McCarthy. So, he’s getting the office,” he said.

Notably, in his farewell remarks late last night, McCarthy said that Nancy Pelosi had assured him that he could return to the rule allowing any member to seek to vacate the chair because she and the Democrats would stand with the Speaker. If so, that was a statement consistent with the long values of the House. There were certain acts that were deemed as beyond the pale. Vacating the chair to make a statement was viewed as inimical to the institution. Despite decades of fierce political divisions, there were times when partisanship would be set aside.
As Democrats profess alarm over government shutdowns and the lack of legislation on key issues, this vacating of the chair will only delay business in the “People’s House.” It was certainly a thrilling moment for many, but few would argue that it was good for the institution. Indeed, they are more likely to get an even more conservative and strident speaker than McCarthy.
As for Republicans, they will now have to negotiate with Rep. Matt Gaetz and the other seven members to be able to resume business. In the meantime, much of the business on the border, the budget, and the impeachment inquiry will have to wait in abeyance.
Now that we have the deck chairs sorted out, can we proceed to head towards the lifeboats?

On Monday, embattled MLB pitcher Trevor Bauer posted a video to X (formerly known as Twitter) breaking his two-year legally-imposed silence due to allegations of sexual assault. In what turned out to be a just-under four-minute video posted to his verified X account, Bauer relayed his side of the story, complete with screenshots of his accuser’s own words and texts. Words and texts that were written in the aftermath of the #metoo sexual assault hysteria whipped up by the Left.
“‘Next victim. Star pitcher for the Dodgers,’” Bauer began reading a text written by his accuser, Lindsey Hill. The text was sent to her friend before she even met Bauer. Wow, can you say premeditated?
Bauer read on: “What should I steal,” the accuser asked a friend in another text, referencing an upcoming visit to Bauer’s house. “Take his money,” the friend replied.
So how might an enterprising and promiscuous young woman go about stealing money from a wealthy young MLB player? Simple: during a sexual hookup, accuse him of assault, of course. “I’m going to his house Wednesday,” Hill wrote. “I already have my hooks in — you know how I roll.” After that meeting, Hill’s friends continued to egg her on after she found out Bauer’s “net worth is $51 mil.” “Bitch, you better secure the bag,” was the friend’s terse response, meaning she should make sure she gets evidence to use to get money from Bauer.
Hill had a plan. “Need Daddy to choke me out,” she wrote. “Being an absolute whore to try to get in on his $51 million.” Could her plan and motive have been any more clear? Not really.
