DOES ANYBODY REMEMBER LAUGHTER? Sasha Stone: All the President’s Memes.

I can’t think of a group of people more in need of mockery than the puritanical, uptight, overly serious Left. That so many are afraid to make fun of them tells you everything about what they have become. Saturday Night Live couldn’t even bring itself to make fun of the viral Katie Porter videos. They pivoted to the old standby of making fun of the Republicans. Yawn.

There’s a line in The Silence of the Lambs when Hannibal Lecter says, “Oh, Clarice. Your problem is you need to get more fun out of life.”

Sorry, Democrats. It’s time to face the truth: Trump is funny. He’s not a normal president and never will be. But the alternative on offer is an America without humor — a dreary and depressing dystopia that has hollowed out culture and made us all hate each other. At the very least, with Trump, we can laugh.

Which certainly beats the alternative that the left have proffered for at least a decade:

DISPATCHES FROM THE BLUE ZONES: Who Is Teresa Theetge? Anti-White Cincinnati Police Chief Put on Administrative Leave Over Man-on-Woman Brawl Says She’s Being Made a Scapegoat. “Theetge sparked fury over how she handled a July incident in which a white woman was beaten by a group of men — an attack captured on video and widely shared online. Instead of condemning the violence, the police chief criticized reporters for taking the footage ‘out of context,’ though she never clarified what that context was supposed to be.”

GOLD BUG: Top analyst says China is playing a ‘key role’ in the price of gold going through the roof, and he’s got the data to prove it. “Other reporting adds evidence to Slok’s findings. The People’s Bank of China has been a relentless purchaser of gold, marking its 11th consecutive monthly buy this September, per commodities news site Kitco. China’s officially reported reserves reached 2,264 tonnes by mid-2025, but industry consensus suggests that real holdings may be even greater owing to underreporting—a tactic often employed for strategic advantage. This central bank buying is not just a statistical curiosity; it establishes a price floor that signals institutional and private investors to follow suit, reinforcing demand cycles.”

UM…: This company’s plan to launch 4,000 massive space mirrors has scientists alarmed: ‘From an astronomical perspective, that’s pretty catastrophic.’

According to the company’s application with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), Reflect Orbital wants to fly its demonstration satellite EARENDIL-1 next year, with an expected launch date in April. Once in orbit, the satellite will unfold a mirror that measures 60 by 60 feet (18 by 18 meters) in order to demonstrate its ability to direct sunlight down onto targets on Earth. The company, which won a $1.25 million Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) contract from the U.S. Air Force in May, says its future constellation will deliver light on demand after sunset and before sunrise to paying customers on Earth, effectively extending the daytime hours.

But the project, which promises to help increase clean energy generation during peak-use morning and evening hours, has alarmed astronomers and biodiversity experts who are concerned about the effects of light pollution the constellation is going to produce.

“The planet is warming,” they warned me. “So let’s make the sun shine at night, they said.”

KRUISER’S MORNING BRIEFING: On Today’s Episode of ‘Orange Jumpsuit Dreaming’ — John Brennan. “If I had to cast a vote for the Number 1 spot on the Sleaze List, I’d likely give it to Brennan. He was probably a bully and/or an animal-torturer when he was a kid. And it’s almost certain that he would have abused his power even if Donald Trump had never gone into politics. He’s just got that air about him.”

NED RYUN: Trump Cleaning Up Blue Cities Will Result In Political Consequences For Democrats.

Now, the interesting thing is about these cities that are really resisting Trump.

If you think about, you know, D.C., San Francisco, Portland, Chicago, well, first of all, they haven’t had a Republican mayor in generations. I think Portland last had a Republican mayor 65 years ago. I think Chicago has been almost 100.

And, really, this is what the radical progressives running these cities, this is what they want. They want the chaos, they want the death, they want the destruction, because it allows them to consolidate power. These are power bases for them, Jesse.

And I think what you’re really seeing right now is a power struggle over, like that last person commented, the power bases for Democrats in these various states are the urban bases, and they really are single-party mini-states. If somehow Trump comes in and ruins their business model of keeping crime and illiteracy and illegal immigration, all these things, he breaks their business model, which undermines their political power. And then, all of a sudden, it becomes a different, completely different game.

I mean, think about Pennsylvania. If Democrats lose Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania goes red every time. And in Illinois, if it weren’t for Chicago and Cook County, which is basically Chicago, Illinois is a very red state.

So the visceral reaction you’re seeing to Trump trying to bring law and order and peace and security to these urban areas, it’s all about power and political power. And Democrats realize this is a very real threat to their political future.

So does Trump, which ought to motivate him to use every lawful tool at his disposal.

HOW IT STARTED: ‘That’s Our Guy!’ MSNBC’s Jen Psaki Torches Trump Rally Fans Cheering On Trump’s ‘Racist White Supremacist’ Speeches.

JEN PSAKI: The four times indicted Republican frontrunner is continuing to echo the language of Adolf Hitler and brag about compliments from Vladimir Putin. So that’s pretty much where we are right now. Donald Trump said all of that in New Hampshire just over the weekend, where Governor Chris Sununu just endorsed Nikki Haley…

But we do want to start tonight with what I hope will be a bit of a sober reminder of where the American electorate sits right now. It’s important for everyone to hear.

So this weekend, Trump once again echoed dictators, praised autocrats, repeated racist language, and was still cheered on by arenas packed with people who will cast their ballots in just over one month!

Mediaite, December 19th, 2023.

How it’s going:

Last November, Dennis Prager noted: Calling Trump ‘Hitler’ Has Done Permanent Damage to the Moral Realm. “The abuse of language is a fundamental characteristic of the Left. Leftists have done this not only to ‘Hitler,’ ‘Nazi’ and ‘fascist’ but to ‘genocide,’ ‘apartheid,’ ‘racist’ and virtually every other term connoting evil. It started with Stalin calling Trotsky a fascist and it continues to this day.”

Every Republican president and presidential nominee is Hitler, until he is given the proverbial strange new respect to attack the next Hitler. It’s going to fun watching this happen in real time over the next three years.

IS SCHUMER SHUTDOWN PAYBACK TO THE HEALTHCARE INSURERS? Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and legions of Democratic incumbents, challengers and committees get millions of dollars in campaign donations from healthcare insurance firms.

Is it coincidental that those same firms are the main beneficiaries of those “temporary” Covid-related Obamacare tax credits? No, it’s gotta be coincidental no matter what this article in The Washington Stand reports.
