What had caught my attention but what I didn’t think worth mentioning at the time was that in the video and transcript, the nurse says that she thinks the alleged exploding food containers were left in residential areas “when the IOF is, you know, raiding homes and stuff.”

The IOF is an abbreviation for “Israeli occupation forces.” It’s a derogatory term used by anti-Israel partisans to refer to the Israeli military. Generally, people who use it see Israel as an illegitimate state—as you can see from the context, the term is used to describe Israeli troops of any kind.

I thought of that nurse’s interview again this afternoon when I watched CNN’s Christiane Amanpour interview a Palestinian and Israeli filmmaking team who oppose the demolition of unauthorized Palestinian structures built on an IDF training plot. (Israel’s Supreme Court approved the demolitions after it was proved that the structures were built well after the site was designated for the IDF.) A clip making the rounds showed Amanpour saying to the Arab member of the duo: “I understand why you would want to film what’s happening to your own villages from the settlers and the Israeli occupation forces.”

NOTHING TO SEE HERE, MOVE ALONG: Russia Suspected of Plotting to Send Incendiary Devices on U.S.-Bound Planes.

Western security officials say they believe that two incendiary devices, shipped via DHL, were part of a covert Russian operation that ultimately aimed to start fires aboard cargo or passenger aircraft flying to the U.S. and Canada, as Moscow steps up a sabotage campaign against Washington and its allies.

The devices ignited at DHL logistics hubs in July, one in Leipzig, Germany, and another in Birmingham, England. The explosions set off a multinational race to find the culprits.

Now investigators and spy agencies in Europe have figured out how the devices—electric massagers implanted with a magnesium-based flammable substance—were made and concluded that they were part of a wider Russian plot, according to security officials and people familiar with the probe.

Security officials say the electric massagers, sent to the U.K. from Lithuania, appear to have been a test run to figure out how to get such incendiary devices aboard planes bound for North America.

Lithuanian police arrested a suspect who sent four incendiary devices, including two from a DHL shop in the capital Vilnius, a European law-enforcement official said. The suspect identified himself as Igor Prudnikov, but his real name is Alexander Suranovas, the official said. Investigators said they believe he was used as a proxy by Russian spy services.

Poland’s National Prosecutor’s Office said authorities there have arrested four people in connection with the fires and charged them with participating in sabotage or terrorist operations on behalf of a foreign intelligence agency.

Author of the best-selling book, “The War Against the Bible,” Rabbi Elie Mischel explained, “Understandably, most rabbis are afraid to make political statements that might anger some of their congregants. But this election is different. If Kamala Harris becomes president instead of Donald Trump, the consequences could be catastrophic: arms embargoes on Israel, devastating sanctions on Israelis opposed to a Palestinian state, and worst of all, more dead Jews. Rabbi Pesach Lerner, President Emeritus of the Coalition for Jewish Values explained, “Why do Orthodox Rabbis endorse Former President Trump? Simple. He’s good for Israel. He’s good for the US economy. He’s good for family values. He’s good for US energy. He’s good for a strong and safe America. He’s good for American and world stability. The better question is, how could Orthodox Rabbis, and others, not endorse him?”

US SOLDIER INJURED EARLIER THIS YEAR ON GAZA PIER MISSION HAS DIED:

A US soldier who was critically injured over the summer while on the temporary Gaza pier mission died last week, the Army said Monday.

The soldier, 23-year-old Sgt. Quandarius Davon Stanley, was one of three US service members injured in non-combat incidents during the mission, though two were immediately returned to duty after suffering minor injuries. He was assigned to the 7th Transportation Brigade (Expeditionary), out of Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia.

Stanley was recently medically retired by his unit because his injuries meant he would be unable to continue military service, a defense official said. He died on October 31.

DEMOCRAT TURNOUT ISSUES IN PA?: Re Stephen Green’s post below on Democratic concern about turnout, I have a distant cousin who was a high-level Obama appointee. According to his Facebook page, he’s spent the last several weekends knocking on doors in Pennsylvania for Harris, and urging others to do the same. I’m no grass-roots politics maven, but when a campaign’s best use for a top political operative is retail door-knocking, it strikes me as a sign that the campaign is concerned about turnout.

George Gascón in Los Angeles, who’s up for re-election Tuesday, is one of these false prosecutors.

If you don’t know who George Gascón is — or care much about California — I understand.

But voter indifference is exactly what Soros and his accomplices are counting on.

Soros donated $2.5 million to Gascón’s campaign for Los Angeles DA back in 2020.
