FROM A COMMENT ON MY BLOG:  As usual on the night before elections, I think of the speech MacArthur broadcast to the Philippine people when he returned with a few divisions of troops, with substitution of the word vote for strike to fit the context:

Let the indomitable spirit of Bataan and Corregidor lead on. As the lines of battle roll forward to bring you within the zone of operations, rise and strike. … For your homes and hearths, strike! For future generations of your sons and daughters, strike! In the name of your sacred dead, strike! Let no heart be faint. Let every arm be steeled. The guidance of divine God points the way. Follow in His Name to the Holy Grail of righteous victory!

TO BE FAIR, THEY DO: Even Democrats Think The Democrats Deserve To Lose.

This morning, we have come upon a piece written by long-time Democrat, Sasha Stone, on her Substack that discusses the substance, (or lack thereof), of the Kamala Harris and the Democrats’ campaign.

Stone thinks the Democrats deserve to lose and her piece, every word of it, is nothing short of brilliant. Why? If we peel back the surface layer of Kamala Harris, diversity hire for POTUS, social justice and identity politics, we will see that Ms. Harris is just that-and nothing more.

Ms. Harris has proved to be ineffective and unqualified as a Vice President and she is currently asking for the American vote for the highest office in the land in a matter of days. We’ll get into that in just a moment but first, words from Kenneth Khachigian, from The Wall Street Journal:

Ms. Harris was unprepared to enter the rough and tumble of national politics and at the 11th hour relies on being propped up, as she has throughout her career, by patrons—Barack Obama, his operatives and a national media that is predominantly desperate to prevent Mr. Trump from re-entering office. Ms. Harris is a victim of her own success through moving up the political ladder without being fully tested by challenge and conflict.”-Kenneth L. Khachigian, The Wall Street Journal

Stone also peels back the layer of the Biden presidency,

The suits are mostly empty, and what is in them is something ugly.

YES, WRITERS CAN BE REALLY POWERFUL. BUT FOR THAT THEY HAVE TO BE REALLY GOOD WRITERS, NOT JUST PROPAGANDISTS:  Literary Life.

DEEPLY GREY-PILLED AND SCARED. FORGIVE ME, BUT LISTEN TO ME: On Voting.

WELL!  Joe Rogan Endorses Trump After Interviewing Elon Musk.

Weirdly, after being never-Trump I voted for Trump in 2016 after being cornered by Jerry Pournelle and L. Neil Smith. I figured if they agreed, short of the second coming, I really should give the man a vote. Didn’t regret it. Still don’t. Trump will have my vote. And I miss Jerry and Neil.

JOE ROGAN ENDORSES TRUMP:

The move comes on Election Day eve, and it’s unclear if it will change any hearts or minds. That work already might have been done by Rogan.

He recently interviewed Trump on his wildly popular podcast, an episode that generated more than 45 million views alone. That doesn’t include various YouTube clips, extensive exposure on X and countless podcast platforms.

Rogan also chatted with Vice Presidential candidate J.D. Vance in recent days. Both moves suggested Rogan was leaning in Trump’s direction, but he openly invited Vice President Kamala Harris onto his show, too.

She refused to meet his basic demands, opting for a wan “Saturday Night Live” appearance as a pop culture lifeline instead.

If only she had gotten on a plane and flown out to Austin to do the podcast. As Stephen Miller tweets, “If Harris does his podcast, he likely doesn’t endorse either of them. Oh well choices made.”

LONGTIME INSTAPUNDIT READER ROSEMARY RIBNER COULD USE A BIT OF HELP. I sent her some money. You can too if you like.
