FEMINISM IS SITUATIONAL: “On one hand, I feel bad that I’m playing into sexist tropes, but on the other hand, if you want to change my flat tire for me, I’m going to let you.”. “Men are the people who see when someone needs help and stop and help/Women are the people who trust that when they need help, help will arrive. Or maybe: Men are the people who donate work to women who don’t even ask for help and may not really need it/Women are the people who trust in their power to capture the labor of men.”

And if you’re like some feminist professors, after a man donates a couple of hours of his time to help you without recompense, you’ll write an article saying he was probably a rapist.

OPEN THREAD: It’s that time again.

AS A WISE COMMUNITY ORGANIZER ONCE SAID, PUNCH BACK TWICE AS HARD: Told to remove ‘Don’t Tread on Me’ patch, this Colorado kid took a stand.

Jaiden is a 12-year-old student at a charter school in Colorado Springs who yesterday was kicked out of class for disruptive activities.

He didn’t punch anyone, shout, curse, make noise or act in any unruly way. Quite the contrary — Jaiden is a well-mannered boy who dresses and acts in an upstanding way. It just so happens that Jaiden is also very patriotic.

He portrays his patriotism with clothing (sometimes wearing a tri-corner hat) and also on his backpack — featuring a “Don’t Tread on Me” Gadsden flag.

But the director at Vanguard School, where Jaiden attends, appears to believe that this historical flag has “origins with slavery” and is “disruptive to the classroom environment.” He told Jaiden’s mother the boy could not return to class unless the patch was removed.

This is clear viewpoint discrimination. Indeed, the school district policy that the director cited only relates to things featuring “drugs, tobacco, alcohol or weapons” — none of which apply to the Gadsden flag.

DON SURBER: Returning to nor/mal.

Gendering is a means of torturing us. Remember the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode where the captain is tortured? His abductors shine four lights in his eyes. They ask how many lights he sees. He says four. They zap him and tell him the answer is five in an effort to break him down.

Which brings me to Liam Morrison, a seventh-grade student at John T. Nichols, Jr. Middle School in Middleborough, Massachusetts. He wore a T-shirt to school that said there are two genders. The principal zapped him. There are 57, just like Heinz.

At school board meeting, the lad asked, “Who is this protected class? Are their feelings more important than my rights? I don’t complain when I see pride flags and diversity posters hung throughout the school. Do you know why? Because others have a right to their beliefs just as I do.”

In 1969, the Supreme Court ruled that a student’s rights don’t end at the schoolhouse door.

But that decision applies only to lefty causes because a judge ruled against the kid.

Nevertheless, Master Morrison stood up to the Marxists, as did the girls at the 4-H event. A man has a right to wear a dress, but he does not have the right to force the rest of us to accept him as a woman.

This is the way.

FIGHT THE POWER, STICK IT TO THE MAN: Update: The Gadsden Kid Is Undefeated, Has His School Running for the Hills.

What’s wrong with the Gadsden flag, you ask? According to school staff, it has its roots in slavery and the slave trade, a claim Jaiden was obviously highly amused by and whose facial expression is becoming an internet meme at the time of this writing.

Despite the school’s weak attempt to justify its position and get him to remove his bag and the offending patch in order to let him back into class, Jaiden’s mother stood behind her son and even corrected the school’s claims about what the flag represents. This was captured on a video that has now gone viral and sparked waves all over the internet.

Naturally, due to the viral nature of the story, people are hungry for updates, and boy howdy do we have some for you, both about Jaiden and what the school is now going through.

First, we’ll start with the hero of our story. Jaiden remains undeterred and has decided he’s going to walk back into the school with his bag and patch still attached. Jaiden says he will refuse to remove the patch and will conduct a school sit-in if it comes down to it.

According to Connor Boyack, who first reported on this story, two law firms have now offered to assist Jaiden and his family if it comes down to lawfare, and will fight this clear discrimination against Jaiden and his beliefs.

Never give up, never surrender.

Plus:

But it gets juicier as we turn to the school itself.

As of this writing, the school has not offered any response to the backlash that’s come its way over this incident, but we are getting an idea of just how worried it is about what’s coming to it. According to Boyack, the school has suddenly canceled its “Back-to-School Night” due to “unforeseen circumstances.”

While it’s still unconfirmed what these “unforeseen circumstances” are…you know.

What would happen is that parents would arrive at the school and instead of being a meet and greet, it would turn into a town hall filled with angry parents demanding to know why the school is teaching them a false anti-American history and why patriotic students are being discriminated against.

It’s also a very scary prospect considering Colorado Springs is a military town with quite a few military bases around the city.

They need to hear from the people: “The school has demonstrated a deep problem within America’s education system, spanning from public to private. Activists posing as educators have infiltrated America’s school system so deeply that parents can’t trust any of these institutions. Too many incidents have popped up and continue to pop up as these radical activists turn these schools into indoctrination centers more than actual schools.”

EVERY INSTITUTION HAS BEEN CORRUPTED: These BLS downward revisions have become a bad habit — or something worse. “Worse, had the BLS not drastically slashed the May number from 9.582MM to a laughable 9.165MM, the drop would have been almost 800K job openings. And yes, today’s downward revision… continues the recent trend of every single data point in the Biden administration being revised sharply lower in subsequent month(s), in a coordinated propaganda attempt to make the economy look stronger, then quietly revise it away when everyone forgets.”

IT’S TOO POPULAR: China’s Latest Problem: People Don’t Want to Go There.

Foreign travelers’ absence is particularly evident in major cities like Beijing and Shanghai, where the numbers of foreigners who visited in the first half of the year totaled less than a quarter of comparable figures in 2019, before the Covid pandemic.

Nationwide, just 52,000 people arrived to mainland China from overseas on trips organized by travel agencies during the first quarter, the latest period for which national data is available, compared with 3.7 million in the first quarter of 2019. As in past years, nearly half of the visitors came from the self-ruled island of Taiwan and the Chinese territories of Hong Kong and Macau, rather than farther-away places like the U.S. or Europe.

“The number of visitors from Europe, America, Japan and Korea are all dropping, substantially,” said Xiao Qianhui, a director with the semiofficial China Tourism Association in a speech in May.

Fewer tourists and businesspeople from overseas means fewer opportunities for foreigners to see China with their own eyes and interact with locals, an important factor in reducing geopolitical tensions, experts say.

The dearth of visitors could also be contributing to less investment in China. Foreign direct investment into the country fell to $20 billion in the first quarter, compared with $100 billion in last year’s first quarter, according to an analysis of government figures by Mark Witzke at Rhodium Group, a research firm.

There’s only so much repression, genocide, zero-COVID lockdowns, and social credit restrictions that tourists are really interested in seeing.

DISPATCHES FROM THE BLUES ZONES: San Francisco Police Union Blasts Bakery for Refusing to Serve Cops in Uniform.

Reem’s California is an Arab-owned bakery that says it values social justice, one of the three core values listed on the establishment’s website.

In an Instagram post over the weekend, Reem’s doubled down on its refusal to serve police carrying guns.

“In a time of increased gun violence — particularly impacting people of color, youth and queer people – we believe that maintaining a strict policy of prohibiting guns in our restaurant keeps us safer,” the statement said.

It isn’t just political policy allowing crime to devour San Francisco.

MARK JUDGE: I tried to warn conservatives about the American Stasi. They ignored me.

I didn’t want recognition after being wrongly accused of witnessing a sexual assault by Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh that never occurred. I simply wanted people to hear my message, which is, in short, what the Left did to me, it will do to you. The Left will abuse the legal system and use the media and opposition researchers to try and destroy you and everyone else in its way.

That’s exactly what it is doing to the Supreme Court and former President Donald Trump. Even though I think Trump’s behavior on Jan. 6 was reprehensible and know that he lost the 2020 election, I agree with attorney Alan Dershowitz that the four indictments of the president are banana-republic stuff. It’s weaponizing the law to try and ruin a political opponent. The president has free speech rights. The indictment regarding an alleged hush money payment to Stormy Daniels is a joke, and if Trump improperly handled classified material, then so did President Joe Biden.

In fact, the atmosphere now is similar to 2018, when the Democratic Party, the media, and outright criminals tried to destroy me and my high school friend Kavanaugh by using a woman named Christine Blasey Ford. Ford claimed that Kavanaugh had sexually assaulted her when the two were in high school in 1982. Ford claimed I was in the room where the assault allegedly took place and that I witnessed everything before jumping in and breaking it up. The entire thing was a setup . I was denied due process, and the press savaged me and somehow found more and more accusers from places I’d never been to. As with Trump, the charges got more and more absurd and just kept piling up. At least Trump is told the time and place he supposedly did the thing he is charged with.

Yet much of the media, even on the Right, fail to recognize what the Left is trying to do. Indeed, for all its talk about clueless elites, the Right can be just as elite and clueless.
