Related: Norway: This gender-bending stuff isn’t science. “Multiple European countries over the past year or more have conducted thorough scientific research resulting in policies that largely ban transgender ‘medical care’ for children. The latest to join the crowd was Norway. They have now ruled that professional guidance encouraging puberty blockers or sex-change surgery for children should be ‘restricted to research settings only.'”

UPDATE: The war on gay kids:

With an average high school class size of 3500, we would expect around 210 gay/lesbian students to come out over their life and perhaps 10 trans; trans coming out generally occurs much later than gay/lesbian sexual attraction recognition for many reasons.

Therapy

A child who has unhappiness due to their body in the context of confusion over the issue of sexuality with gender should always be immediately presumed to he gay/lesbian due to this prevalence ratio. Additionally with girls, it is dramatically more probable that seeking trans therapy for medical intervention is a masking of an emerging variety of self-harm like cutting or anorexia than actual trans status.

Mirror Conversion

Imposing medical transgender therapeutic abuse on children, both psychiatric and physical, is a simple de-facto effort to affect alteration of their sexual orientation. As one can change object coordinates in space with a mirror transformation – left becomes right and so-forth – this is an analogous mirror-like sexual transformation applied to a child. It occurs by imposing a medically dubious treatment of public behavior reinforcement, chemical castration and disfiguring surgery to create an ersatz image of the child’s physical and emotional context to “the opposite sex”. The term of art is trans the gay away.

The same-sex orientation would therefore considered to be now opposite-sex attraction not by altering the attraction target of the child but by altering their basis state of the child. The sex of their target attractions doesn’t change but their own would be considered to be changed. This is the main legal strategy to eradicate homosexuality in counties like Iran, imposed on adult men.

“Trans the gay away.”

YESTERDAY’S DAM EXPLOSION MIGHT SPEED ALONG THE DECISION: Ukraine To Get F/A-18s? “Giving them to Ukraine rather than scrapping them makes sense. Australia can’t use them, as they’re transitioning to F-35s, and the U.S. can’t use them since they’ve already transitioned both carrier-based and Marine F/A-18s to the much beefier F/A-18E/F Super-Hornets.”

WWII AIR FORCE EXPERT RATES EIGHT DOGFIGHTS IN MOVIES (Video):

Incidentally, the (mostly) live action filming on Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk stands out like a sore thumb, and looks so much more realistic than the plastic CGI effects in most of the films clipped for this video.

MAYBE NOBODY BLEW UP THE UKRAINIAN DAM. Last December, the Ukrainians decided to take some experimental HIMARS potshots at it: “The Ukrainians…even conducted a test strike with a HIMARS launcher on one of the floodgates at the Nova Kakhovka dam, making three holes in the metal to see if the Dnieper’s water could be raised enough to stymie Russian crossings but not flood nearby villages.” This spring, the Russians controlling the dam mechanisms let the water get so high it was overtopping the dam for a month, generally A Bad Thing. Thinking back to the Oroville Dam in 2017, I wonder how long our dams would last under such conditions.

WILL COLLIER: The Question.

If you’ve watched, read or heard national political reporters and pundits over the past couple of years, you’ve almost certainly seen them all-but rubbing their hands in anticipation of questioning Republican candidates for the 2024 nomination.

They aren’t excited about queries on inflation, or Ukraine, or the debt, or the border, or crime. They’re all a-twitter (pun certainly intended) over getting to ask this question, in front of as large an audience as possible:

“Did Donald Trump lose the 2020 election?”

The question is viewed as a can’t-miss by the press: humiliating Republican candidates who answer in the negative as too afraid to cross Trump, enraging the hard-core Trumper base against anyone who says “yes,” and opening the floodgates for untold hours of gleeful on-air mockery from media figures all too happy to continue poisoning the electoral well for the GOP.

Any candidate who is seriously in this race had better have an answer ready, and it had better be one that the electorate at large can nod along with in agreement.

To be more specific, they had better be ready, willing and able to say, “Yes.”

Lots to chew on at the link.

KRUISER’S MORNING BRIEFING: Democrats Hate Pretty Republican Women—Casey DeSantis Edition. “Because they actually fear Ron DeSantis more than they do Trump, the leftist media savages have turned their attention to his wife, Casey. The Daily Beast — aka The Herpes of Online Leftist Opinion — is the latest liberal hackfest to go after Florida’s First Lady.”

DECOUPLING: It’s Time To End Permanent Normal Trade Relations With China.

While there is no shortage of worthwhile proposals to realign the U.S.-China economic relationship, one in particular would reset our deeply skewed trade arrangement to its rightful place: suspending or revoking China’s permanent normal trade relations, or PNTR.

This suspension or revocation would allow Congress to once again determine an appropriate tariff rate on all Chinese imports into our country, beyond the sweeping Section 301 tariffs that have been in place since the Trump administration.

PNTR is a U.S. legal designation given to some foreign trading partners, and was granted to China as part of the negotiations heading into its ascension into the World Trade Organization more than twenty years ago. This “normalcy” locked in tariffs for Chinese exports to the United States at a low baseline, removed those tariff rates from an annual congressional review, and created the environment in which Chinese imports saturated the American market. Resultingly, 3.7 million American jobs were lost to the yawning trade deficit with China between 2001 and 2018.

That is imbalanced trade that’s tangible. You can see it in erstwhile manufacturing communities in every U.S. state that have unstable economies and underemployed workforces. The corresponding rise in mortality rates and deaths of despair in them are not coincidental.

Decoupling isn’t easy but it is necessary.

DON SURBER: PR Problems for Ukraine.

The Totenkopf actually predates the Nazis, going back to Frederick the Great. That said, the Nazi connection pretty much overrides its other history.

A SENATOR TO KEEP AN EYE ON: Sen. James Lankford (R-Okla.) had a tough act to follow in his predecessor, Sen. Tom “Dr. No” Coburn, who exposed Alaska’s infamous “Bridge to Nowhere” and who was a bulwark against stupid and fraudulent federal spending.

But, as I explain this morning in The Epoch Times, Lankford is emerging as the conservative senator most likely to expose, carefully and directly, the multifarious ways in which Democrats in the White House, the federal bureaucracy, the mainstream media and elsewhere manipulate language and legal precedent to mislead, abuse and oppress.

As one former Coburn staffer admiringly described Lankford: “He’s a legislator, not a headline-chaser.” He’s also a man of genuinely principled and daily demonstrated faith, which makes him particularly worth watching.

THEY KEEP TRYING, AND FAILING, TO MAKE THOMAS A PARIAH: Scandal! DeSantis is close to Clarence Thomas! “The MSM has been looking for ever more evidence that Ron DeSantis is really Rob DeSatan, and they appear to have struck the motherlode of evidence. DeSantis is a big admirer of Clarence Thomas and gave him a big bear hug after a speech Thomas gave at a Federalist Society event held in Florida.”
