BLOWUP: Some photographers plan to stay away from San Francisco, demand change after violent camera robberies.

Days after a terrifying attempted robbery at gunpoint where a photographer wrestles with masked men to keep his camera gear, other photographers are speaking out, declaring they no longer will hold photoshoots in San Franciso.

The Dallas-based photographer targeted in the attack the afternoon of on November 9, did not want to be identified but says he was pistol-whipped and was “freaked out” and tried to console the wedding party where “the bride was crying the whole time.”

That same day, another photographer’s belongings were stolen at gunpoint at the same location…on the very same day.

These cases and a number of incidents ABC7 News anchor Dion Lim covered in recent years highlight the dangers for professional photographers shooting in popular tourist destinations in San Francisco.

San Francisco’s last Republican mayor left office at the beginning of 1964.

PEOPLE ARE GETTING RICHER — SOME PROBLEM! Global population hits 8 billion, but per-capita consumption is still the main problem.

Scientists have been debating such demographic issues at least since the 18th century, when Thomas Malthus published An Essay on the Principle of Population, arguably the first global treatise on the relationship between population growth and scarcity. A few decades later, however, the Industrial Revolution (which the British economist had failed to anticipate) ushered the world into an era of abundance, relegating Malthus’s grim predictions about the inevitability of scarcity to the margins of scientific debate.

In a bestselling book published in the late 1960s, The Population Bomb, Stanford professor Paul Ehrlich brought the topic back, advocating for immediate action to limit population growth on a finite planet. This recommendation was reiterated a few years later by the Club of Rome, an international network of scientists and industrialists. Its 1972 report The Limits to Growth aptly demonstrated the dynamic relationship between increasing consumption and the idea of “planetary boundaries” which cannot be crossed without risking severe environmental change.

MAKE THEM PAY: Boston schools panic over lawsuits by parental rights group. “The trend of American public schools turning into radical liberal indoctrination centers that defy the rights of parents to control how their children are raised has been ramping up for some time now. But in recent years, encouraging signs have been observed as parents have sought ways to reassert their rights. Some have opted to abandon public schools, choosing either private schools or homeschooling for their kids. Others have run for and won seats on school boards to retake control of the curriculum and school policies. But a group called Parents Defending Education has adopted a far more confrontational approach. They have identified incidents where schools are promoting racism, transgender ideology, and the sexualization of children and have taken the school districts to court to stop it. They’ve been particularly active in Massachusetts lately and, as the Boston Globe reports, the schools are growing increasingly anxious in fear that any of them might be next.”

CULTURE OF CORRUPTION: Ill-Gotten Gains: Crypto Kingpin’s Donations Put Democrats in the Hot Seat.

The embattled crypto billionaire Sam Bankman-Fried, who is now under federal investigation and suspected of defrauding his investors, spent the election season shelling out cash to Democrats: $865,000 to the Democratic National Committee, $1 million to Sen. Chuck Schumer’s (D., N.Y.) Senate Majority PAC, and $6 million to the House Majority PAC.

With each passing day, it looks more and more like FTX’s customers won’t get their money back. But Democrats won’t say whether they’re going to hang on to the cash. The Democratic National Committee, Senate Majority PAC, and House Majority PAC did not respond to requests for comment about Bankman-Fried’s donations. The White House has also not weighed in on Bankman-Fried’s $5 million contribution to Future Forward PAC, which spent $74 million in support of Biden in 2020.

They’re keeping the cash.

The leaders of the world want nothing more than a reprise of WWII right now. They think that something like that war, which allowed them to clamp centralized, top down government on the nations of the world would bottle the lightening again.  They tried with the Covidiocy. Then they tried the “the earth will boil in 12 years, but that only scared their own, subnormal supporters. So, a war was inevitable. And I think they break their teeth on it.
