HEH: New AI Chatbot Covers For Biden, Says Rachel Levine Is A Woman. Can It Replace The Washington Post?

At first glance, an online entity that “discovers new knowledge” with the capability to generate written content for a broad audience sounds an awful lot like a journalist. Below are some simple questions presented to the chatbot to discover what kind of journalist this character of artificial intelligence might be.
…
“The concept of gender is complex and can be difficult to define, as it can refer to a person’s biological sex, their gender identity, or their gender expression,” wrote the computer. “Because of this complexity, it’s difficult to say exactly how many genders there are.”

When independent journalist Jordan Schachtel asked the AI which killed more children, the demonstrations on Jan. 6 or President Joe Biden’s drone strikes, the computer covered for the White House.

“President Biden has not carried out any drone strikes that have resulted in the deaths of children,” the computer wrote, oblivious to a drone strike in Kabul last year that killed 7 kids.

Schachtel also asked the AI machine if “communism is bad.”

“Whether communism is ‘bad’ is a matter of debate and depends on one’s perspective,” the computer wrote.

Nothing can replace the Washington Post, easily.

MEGAN FOX: New Information in Ohio Child Rape Case. “The sad case of the child who was used by left-wing media and abortionist Caitlin Bernard to prop up their abortion narrative back in July is still roiling with controversy. Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita has filed an official investigation into Bernard’s actions, accusing her of violating her patient’s privacy by talking to media, and also of not reporting the crime to Indiana authorities properly. New documents obtained by PJ Media reveal more information than we were told initially.”

LIBSOFTIKTOK: Documents reveal Ohio superintendent admitting to sexual fantasies involving children.

Parents in Lakota Local Schools in Ohio are demanding that Superintendent Matt Miller resigns after his highly compromised sexual history and statements regarding sexual fantasies with children have come to light.

Miller heads the second-largest district in southwest Ohio and the eighth-largest school system in the state, serving more than 16,000 students in 20 schools in Butler County.

On August 8, Vanessa Wells, a Lakota parent, filed a police report against Miller with the sheriff’s office. In that complaint, Wells provided police with numerous text messages, including messages between Miller and his ex-wife, which seemingly show Miller admitting to fantasizing about raping minors.

GLEICHSCHALTUNG: The Montreal Canadiens Apologize for Their Goalie’s Instagram Post. “I love my family, I love my country and I care for my neighbour. I am not a criminal or a threat to society. What @justinpjtrudeau is trying to do is unjust. I support the @ccfr_ccdaf to keep my hunting tools. Thank you for listening to my opinion.”

YESTERDAY: U.S. manufacturing orders from China collapse. “U.S. manufacturing orders in China are down 40 percent, according to the latest CNBC Supply Chain Heat Map data. As a result of the decrease in orders, Worldwide Logistics tells CNBC it is expecting Chinese factories to shut down two weeks earlier than usual for the Chinese Lunar New Year — Chinese New Year’s Eve falls on Jan. 21 next year. The seven days after the holiday are considered a national holiday.”

TODAY: U.S. Trade Deficit Rises 5.4% to Four-Month High.

Imports are up but not with China.

Then there’s this: In a major shift, China eases draconian ‘zero-COVID’ policy restrictions.

His power secure and his ability to lock down major cities at will tested and not found wanting, Xi can start letting the economy fully function again.

KRUISER’S MORNING BRIEFING: Stop Blaming Trump for Failed GOP 2022 Candidates. “Another day, another lament from me about the messiness in the Republican party. It is utterly amazing how much chaos one little failed red wave can unleash.”

CHANGE: Apple CEO Cook Confirms Made-in-US Chips Push at Arizona Plant. “Cook spoke Tuesday alongside President Joe Biden and executives from chip companies at the site of a Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. plant under construction in Phoenix. Cook said Apple will expand its relationship with TSMC, which already produces chips for the iPhone maker, when the US factory opens in 2024.”

Companies aren’t just moving some operations out of Communist China; they’re moving some operations away from Communist China.

WE NEED TO GET SERIOUS AGAIN ABOUT DOMESTIC AIR DEFENSE: China’s H-20 stealth bomber is expected to introduce an entirely new sphere of threat dynamics. “While there is much still to be known about the H-20, there are many reasons why U.S. weapons developers are likely to take it very seriously. For instance, if the H-20 can extend its range beyond the first Island Chain off the coast of China, then it could not only hold the Philippines, Japan and areas of the South China Sea at risk, but also threaten Guam, a US territory. Certainly if extended with a refueler, the H-20 might be in position to threaten Hawaii or even parts of the continental US.”

DECOUPLING: China loses grip on global manufacturing.

A small portion of Apple’s newest iPhones is already being made in India, where that share could grow to potentially 25% of all iPhones by 2025.

The country’s share of global exports of furniture, footwear and clothing accessories has fallen since 2016, recent data from transport economics firm MDS Transmodal shows, as reported by CNBC.

Meanwhile, trade between the U.S. and E.U. has risen sharply, and analysts view Mexico and Vietnam as countries that could benefit the most from diversifying supply chains.

Plus: “Beijing’s aggressiveness toward the West and its ties with Moscow have ‘left executives nervous that they could be caught on the wrong side of global conflict,’ she adds.”

FALLOUT: Supply Disruption From Russia Price Cap Is Here: Tanker Jam Forms Off Turkey. “The cap is imposed by barring Western businesses from insuring, financing or shipping Russian oil unless the price is at or under the cap. The insurance aspect is particularly meddlesome, as maritime insurance is dominated by western firms, most notably Lloyd’s of London.”

ANTISOCIAL MEDIA: Facebook Parent’s Oversight Board Criticizes ‘Cross Check’ Program That Protects VIP Users.

The report offers the most detailed review to date of cross check, which Meta has billed as a quality-control effort to prevent moderation errors on content of heightened public interest. The oversight board took up the issue more than a year ago in the wake of a Wall Street Journal article based on internal documents that showed that cross check was plagued by favoritism, mismanagement and understaffing.

The board’s report doesn’t take issue with the value of a secondary review system for moderating posts from high-profile or sensitive accounts. But the board said the program in practice has put Meta’s business interests over the program’s stated goals of protecting public discourse, and it noted that the highest levels of protection are generally reserved for accounts that might stir up trouble for Meta’s senior leadership.
…
The Journal article last year found that under the cross check program, also known as “XCheck,” some VIP users were “whitelisted,” meaning they were exempted from some or all penalties for violating platform rules. Other accounts were given “remediation windows” in which they could remove violating posts without penalty or received watered-down punishments for misconduct.

Some Facebook users are more equal than others.
