WHERE CHINESE CAN ENTER US UNIMPEDED: No, it’s not just on the Southern border with Mexico. It’s the Mariannas Islands where Chinese individuals can enter the U.S. legally and stay. Or head to the mainland.

BET YOU DIDN’T KNOW THIS ABOUT VULTURES: They actually perform a public health service that is hugely important to man and animals. Yes, the (man-made?) Coronavirus Pandemic was bad but we can thank these ugly creatures for there not being more and worse.

WHY LEFT AND THE MSM DON’T ‘GET’ POPULISM: Former Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Director (under Reagan) Donald Devine explains why, going back to the 1848 revolutions in Europe, progressives just don’t understand populist movements like that which is growing on the Continent, and that Donald Trump leads, for better or worse, in the U.S.

EVERY JOT AND TITTLE: What prompted the journey of Rosaria Butterfield, former tenured Syracuse University English Literature and Women’s Studies professor, from Lesbian activist and angry atheist to happily married mother, grandmother and Christian?

Whatever you think about where she ended up, you’ve got to admit the country would be in far better shape if more lefty academics embarked on the same journey to leave totalitarian activism behind.

EVER HEAR OF PROGRESSIVE INTERNATIONAL (PI)? Odds are the answer to that question is no because these Leftist puppet masters are most interested in organizing protests around the world to advance their thoroughly Marxist agenda.

Here’s how Capital Research Center (CRC) describes it: “PI connects like-minded activists worldwide by organizing and promoting campaigns and developing ‘blueprints’ to share ‘the principles and policies of a progressive international order.’

“They were born out of a 2018 joint call from a Bernie Sanders-aligned nonprofit and a European political association called the Democracy in Europe Movement 2025. And they consider capitalism, the United States, and Israel the biggest threats to their agenda.”

There’s much more about PI that you likely don’t know and CRC has helpfully captured it in this highly recommended 3:38 video.

WILL PRO-PALESTINIAN MOB DISRUPT THE DEBATE? Richard Pollock, the former riot trainer of the 60s and 70s radicals says he won’t be surprised if the radical leftist activists posing as Pro-Palestinian demonstrators do something to disrupt Thursday night’s Grudge Match of the Geriatric Presidents.

PHRMA FUNDS TRANSGENDERISM: Tom Jones’ American Accountability Foundation (AAF) documents three-quarters of a million dollars in support from Big Drug for the movement pushing kids and adults to go under the knife to “correct” their gender. That and more in my latest PJMedia column.

OH MY OMAR: A formal complaint has been filed with the House Ethics Committee against Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) by the National Legal and Policy Center’s Paul Kamenar alleging she failed to report income generated by her husband’s wine and marijuana businesses, the Washington Free Beacon’s Meghan Blonder reports.

WHY IS DOD SUPPRESSING THIS INFO? The Department of Defense Inspector-General (DOD-IG) reports it is impossible to know how many U.S. tax dollars in the Pentagon budget are ending up funding Chinese military research on pathogens with enhancement potential to lethal pandemic levels.

Why? Because DOD budget tracking is a joke — that’s my term, not the IG’s — and because of a little known authority to hide unclassified information. Sen. Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) and Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) are moving against that authority, the Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) provision.

GAIN THREE YARDS OR FUMBLE: That’s an apt analogy for the division within the House GOP. Speaker Mike Johnson and most of his Republican colleagues realize all-or-nothing legislative Hail Marys don’t move the ball of conservative change down the field.

Reaching compromises can each move the ball three yards closer to the goal. That’s the reality Johnson must deal with in leading an historically tiny majority versus Joe Biden in the White House and the Senate Democratic majority.

SNOBBERY GETS YOU NOWHERE: Maybe it was just “one of those days” and noted New Atheist Richard Dawkins just didn’t feel like responding to a sincerely posed inquiry. In this case, in HillFaith’s latest Testimonies post, Dawkins’ evasion was a crucial step in Peter Byrom’s journey from atheism to Christian faith.

LEFT, RIGHT TRANSPARENCY VOICES BACK NIH FOIA AUDIT CALL: Sen. Roger Marshall’s demand for the FOIA compliance audit of NIH going to 2014 is getting support across a broad front of the political spectrum.

Big Government cannot survive transparency and accountability, so hopefully this NIH audit will be the first step toward mandatory annual FOIA compliance probes at every federal department and agencyc.

HEY, YOU CAN’T DO THAT! At least not if you are a moral relativist. Greg Koukl, writing at Salvo, lays out seven things folks who claim truth is all relative cannot do (and stay true to themselves). The first of the seven things is accuse other people of wrong-doing. Remind you of anybody?

UPDATE: See also Wintery Knight’s analysis of why moral relativists are fundamentally hobbled when asked to justify morality on their worldview. And while you’re out, you might even check out HillFaith and my quickie look at the fraud that is Critical Theory.

BIDEN, TRUMP EXEC ORDERS COMPARED: Every executive order issued to date by President Joe Biden and all of them signed by his predecessor are sorted by topic, and the results show each chief executive’s true priorities, according to The Epoch Times’ Beth Brejle.

MOST HILL AIDES WANT NEW FACE IN THE WHITE HOUSE: Overall, 77 percent of the congressional aides responded “Yes” to the question of would they name a new presidential candidate for their political party if given the chance. Interestingly, 88 percent of the Democratic staffers said that, compared to 70 percent of the GOP aides.

BIDEN ARRANGED BURISMA EXEC MEETING WITH KEY STATE DEPARTMENT OFFICIAL: New evidence reviewed by Just the News points to another chapter in the Biden Crime Family’s Burisma epic.

GOP SENATOR DEMANDS FOIA COMPLIANCE AUDIT OF NIH: Sen. Roger Marshall (R-Ks.) is serious about forcing federal bureaucrats to be transparent and accountable, as required by the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).

Recent revelations about NIH executives making a mockery of the law prompted Marshall to demand the Inspector-General at the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS-IG) do a full FOIA compliance audit of NIH going back to 2014.

Since FOIA audits are not typically part of the IGs’ job description, it remains to be seen how the HHS-IG will respond to Marshall’s demands. But even if the HHS-IG refuses the senator’s demand, Marshall isn’t going away on the FOIA issue.

HILL AIDES BACK FILIBUSTER: Surprisingly strong support seen among congressional aides for, of all things, preservation of the Senate filibuster in informal survey by CNCT Capitol Pulse.

SIX MILLION TESLAS: So far in 2024, producing the sixth million Tesla EV to roll off the production line is among the firm’s accomplishments, according to Brian Wang at NextBIGFuture.com. Also, now assisting on an autonomous basis in that production effort are a couple of the Optimus robots with significant upgrades. Yes, autonomously. I wonder if they take coffee breaks?

HALF OF JOB POSTINGS ARE FAKE: Hmmm, if companies post “ghost jobs” just to make it appear they are growing, what does that say about some of the data being collected by the government?

WE MUST FOLLOW THE SCIENCE … EXCUSE ME, THE MONEY: U.S. Right to Know’s Rebecca Raney lays out how the world’s biggest and most influential scholarly entomology association avoided discussing the possibility a certain insecticide produced by corporate sponsors is injurious to bees. It’s analogous to “agency capture” in government. Call it Scholarly Capture.

WHY IS BIDEN STILL COURTING IRAN? Jed Babbin, a former high-ranking Pentagon official from the Bush era, wonders in the Washington Times why the U.S. Chief Executive is encouraging Britain, France and Germany not to support a censure of Iran for continuing its nuclear weapons development program.

1ST AMENDMENT DOESN’T APPLY IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS: How else to read the decision of the U.S. Court of Appeals First Circuit? Funny, I thought the Constitution assigned to judges the responsibility for resolving such issues??? Decision was written by an Obama appointee.

WHO YOU GONNA SAVE, YOUR DOG OR A STRANGER: Things get complicated when we are faced with moral dilemmas. So, tell us your answer – your dog or that stranger and why?

INSIGHTS ON IRAN FROM MUSLIM’S ROAD TO CHRISTIANITY: There is a steady flow of conversion reports from the evangelical underground in the Middle East. This particular testimony on HillFaith from a former Shiite Muslim provides some key insights about the vulnerable underbelly of the Iranian Mullahs.
