IT BEGINS: Uh oh. The Atlantic calls for Biden to step aside.
Meanwhile, the Gray Lady’s Maureen Dowd begins to sharpen her hatchet: It’s Seven Grandkids, Mr. President.
But there’s a gatekeeper who must be removed first: Kamala… They Are Coming for You. The Cackling Vice President, Kamala Harris, is the domino that will fall first.

JEFFREY CARTER ON The Supreme Court and the Left’s Religious Cult.
President Joe Biden criticized the court as abnormal and in the wake of the last two SCOTUS terms, Democrats are doing all they can to discredit the court.
Democrats, virtually all left-wing and moving ever harder to the left every day, see it as a highly politicized entity, but that’s only their projection. They’d like to make it a malleable highly politicized entity they control. One example of how it might work is the Illinois State Supreme Court or the Governor’s office in the state of Michigan.
These three quotes from Bari Weiss’s article stimulated me. The data will surprise you based on the overwhelming rhetoric being spewed from mainstream media.
Here are some fun facts from this term: 50 percent of the Supreme Court’s decisions were unanimous; 89 percent of the decisions had at least one liberal justice in the majority. Only 8 percent were decided with the six Republican appointees on one side and the three Democratic appointees on the other side. That means only fourteen cases last term were decided that way, and this term was the lowest number of straight ideological split decisions in the last six years.
And,
I wouldn’t go that far, but it is inaccurate to say this decision means it’s fair game to turn gay people away from stores because you don’t want to do business with them. I also don’t think this was an easy case. A lot of it depends on who the specific people are and what religions they are. Like, if you ask is it okay for a kosher caterer to say “I am not going to cater your wedding because this is an intermarriage between a non-Jew and a Jew”? And if the kosher caterer says, “I will do any other event that you want to do, but I will not do an interfaith wedding because that’s just not something that I approve of.” I’ve heard of those situations and I’ve always thought of that as completely okay and plausible and within the free speech rights of the caterer.
And,
take all of us as writers and content producers. Do we want to be compelled to provide, say, our ghostwriting or editing services to somebody who comes to us and says, “Actually, I want to write a book that is a screed against gay people?” Do I want to be compelled to do that? I absolutely do not.
The hypocrisy of the left is unflagging.
It occurs to me that Leftist Politics isn’t about politics at all. It’s not any different than a centralized religion. Their slogans read like catechisms or creeds.
Well, yes.
The bride and groom and their guests can tuck into different options for the wedding breakfast.
They include 100 chicken burgers and 100 boxes of McNuggets or 100 cheeseburgers and 100 chicken fingers.
The minimum order of 200 pieces is accompanied by the slogan: “Make wedding moments unforgettable.”
The wedding feast has been launched in Jakarta, Indonesia, but could be expanded across the world if successful.
Exit quote: “YEESSSSSSSS…got the wedding package. Now for the candidate.”
JOURNAL OF WOMEN’S HEATH ISSUES DOESN’T THINK MOTHERS EXIST: Any “scientific” journal that uses a term like “birthing people” is not a scientific journal.
GREAT MOMENTS IN BLOWBACK: Ben and Jerry’s HQ is on ‘stolen’ Native American land, Vermont chief says.
On Friday, Don Stevens — chief of the Nulhegan Band of The Coosuk Abenaki Nation, one of four tribes descended from the Abenaki that are recognized in Vermont — told The Post in an interview that he “looks forward to any kind of correspondence with the brand to see how they can better benefit Indigenous people.”
Stevens added that if the ice cream maker is “sincere,” it should reach out to him as the company’s corporate headquarters — located at 30 Community Dr. in South Burlington, Vt. — is situated on Western Abanaki land.
Ben & Jerry know what they must do next:
C’mon B&J, show us that you’re serious about returning your stolen land to its rightful owners.
And as Glenn wrote last night, the Coosuk Abenaki know what they must do next: “Go to the courthouse and file a lien, just for yuks.”

THE LONG KNIVES ARE OUT: Uh oh. The Atlantic calls for Biden to step aside.
But then you get Kamala, who is less popular than Biden, and you won’t get rid of her without an ugly racial fight.
WHY ARE UNIVERSITIES SUCH CESSPITS OF RACISM? ‘Too many white people in here’: Viral video from UVA captures racially charged rant.
This sort of racism isn’t just tolerated by universities, it’s encouraged.

A NON-DENIAL DENIAL: ‘Incredibly Irresponsible:’ White House Press Secretary Chides Reporter for Asking Whether Cocaine Belonged to Bidens.
White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre scolded a reporter Friday for asking if she would answer, once and for all, whether the cocaine that was discovered in the White House on Sunday “belonged to the Biden family.”
A white powder was discovered in the West Wing of the White House on Sunday and it was later confirmed to be cocaine. Jean-Pierre’s comments come one day after NBC reported that the cocaine was found in a working area of the West Wing, contradicting initial reports that suggested it was found in a locker used by visitors in the West Wing lobby.
In response to the question, Jean-Pierre said: “There has been some irresponsible reporting about the family and I got to call that out here.”
“The Biden family was not here. They were at Camp David. They were not here Friday*. They were not here Saturday. They were not here Sunday. They were not even here Monday,” said Jean-Pierre. “They came back on Tuesday. So to ask that question is actually incredibly irresponsible.”
Jean-Pierre stressed in comments delivered from the podium earlier this week that the initially reported location where the cocaine was supposed to have been found is heavily trafficked by visitors.
“What I wanted to be very clear is that this is a heavily, heavily trafficked, heavily traveled, to be more accurate, area of the campus of the White House,” Jean-Pierre said. “It is where visitors to the West Wing come through.”
But NBC’s Andrea Mitchell reported that the new location is a “much more secure place” with “limited access” and that “normal people, average people, can’t get in there.”

Evergreen:
One interesting wrinkle in all of this is that I have yet to meet a therapist who approves of the medicalization of the treatment of children who say they are transgender, and that includes all the therapists I know who are liberal Democrats or on the left, and I know plenty of them. The ones I know tend to be older or even retired, and they were trained under a very different system long before medical treatment and “gender affirmation” for minors were ever contemplated. But despite their current disapproval of these methods, they still vote reliably Democrat, and for the most part – actually, in every case so far – they were unaware of the devastation these treatments can wreak until I told them. And these developments are not nearly enough to change their minds and convince them to vote for anyone on the dread right. I plan to work on that a bit by talking to them more; should be interesting.

The Democrat electoral agenda depends on building coalitions of minority groups. Sexual community organizing in schools is a machine meant to expand that coalition. UNEXPECTEDLY: Meta’s New Threads App is Censoring From Day One.
Threads is Meta’s latest and boldest attempt to go head-to-head with Twitter. Operating as an independent app, but at the moment requiring an Instagram login, Threads is the stage for public textual interactions and dialogues among users, linked to their Instagram profiles. Astonishingly, within less than a day of its debut on Thursday morning, Threads had already attracted a whopping 30 million sign-ups.
Mark Zuckerberg, Meta’s CEO, ushered in users with his inaugural post, “Let’s do this. Welcome to Threads.” He described Threads as a “friendly” alternative to Twitter, an app that lets people indulge in text-based conversations with a 500-character limit and the option to share links, photos, and videos.
Zuckerberg seems to be putting a lot of emphasis on keeping Threads congenial. He stated in a Wednesday post, “The goal is to keep it friendly as it expands. I think it’s possible and will ultimately be the key to its success.” He candidly went on to take a swipe at Twitter, suggesting that its lack of success is due to its desire to support more free speech.
But of course, what Zuckerberg means when he calls for congeniality is censorship.
Just hours after launch, Threads was caught in the eye of the storm, with allegations of stealthy censorship and unavailability of user appeals.
Flashback: What Is To Be Done About Facebook?
From the company’s earliest days, Facebook’s leaders have adopted a remarkably consistent approach to the exposure of problems and missteps: a mercenary variation of the “ask for forgiveness, not permission” strategy. Any time the company does something irresponsible or privacy-violating, Zuckerberg issues an apology on Facebook and Sandberg appears on television programs to reassure an anxious world that Facebook will do better. As Zeynep Tufekci observed in Wired: “By 2008, Zuckerberg had written only four posts on Facebook’s blog: Every single one of them was an apology or an attempt to explain a decision that had upset users.”
But he kept doing it because it worked—until 2018. That year, Apple booted Facebook off of its app store for violating Apple’s privacy rules. Facebook had used an app to facilitate a research study wherein Facebook paid teenagers and some adults to let the company monitor everything they did on their mobile phones. That same year, there was a major hack of Facebook, this one affecting approximately 29 million Facebook users; the company issued its standard sorry-we-promise-to-do-better statement and changed nothing about its core business model.
Around the same time, as TechCrunch reported, Zuckerberg and other Facebook executives secretly “disappeared” their sent messages from their accounts, removing years’ worth of Facebook correspondence from other users’ mailboxes with no warning. Once caught out, the company claimed that it had done so for vaguely defined security reasons, but the lack of transparency by a company that insists that everyone should share everything was seen as hypocritical by many Facebook users.
As Peggy Noonan wrote in 2019: “Overthrow the Prince of Facebook...Break them up. Break them in two, in three; regulate them. Declare them to be what they’ve so successfully become: once a pleasure, now a utility. It all depends on Congress, which has been too stupid to move in te past and is too stupid to move competently now. That’s what’s slowed those of us who want reform, knowing how badly they’d do it. Yet now I find myself thinking: I don’t care. Do it incompetently, but do something.”
Somebody should write a book about this stuff.
