KRUISER’S MORNING BRIEFING: A Victory for Sanity In the Battle Against Mail-In Ballot Madness. “Those who have been reading me for a while know that I loathed mail-in voting long before the 2020 election fiasco. I think the only people who should vote by mail are deployed military, ex-pats working abroad, and people here who are very physically ill. Everybody else can get off their butts and head to the polls.”

Ditto.

MORE LIKE THIS, PLEASE: Biology Teacher Reinstated After Refusing To Use Trans Student Pronouns. “A biology teacher who was suspended last week after refusing to use transgender students’ preferred pronouns was reinstated after over 400 people showed up at the school’s auditorium last Wednesday – most of whom were there to support the educator.”

Be heard. The radical trans community might be vocal and vicious, but it’s quite small and extremely unpopular. Although you’d be forgiven for believing otherwise based on the overly friendly media coverage.

SHAMEFUL: Jennifer-Ruth Green takes aim at political opposition after Politico publishes records of her sexual assault.

Jennifer-Ruth Green, the Republican candidate in the race to represent Indiana’s 1st Congressional District, is livid after Politico published details about her sexual assault while in the military, without her permission, and blames her opponent for “illegally” obtaining the information.

In a profile of Green’s career and candidacy in the Indiana congressional race, Politico reporter Adam Wren used the documents, which the outlet claimed “were obtained by a public records request and provided to Politico by a person outside the Mrvan campaign” to report last week that “an Iraqi serviceman sexually assaulted her by grabbing her breast and exposing himself” when “she and a small group of officers visited the national training center.”
…
Green wrote a letter on Oct. 3 to the relevant U.S. attorney, the Air Force Inspector General and the Department of Defense to request a criminal investigation into how the documents were provided to Politico.

“I write to request an investigation into the unauthorized, unlawful release of my Air Force personnel file,” Green wrote in the letter, which was obtained by Fox News Digital. “The fact that my file has been leaked in the course of my campaign for United States Congress leads me to believe that it was politically motivated.”

In the letter, Green made it clear that she “did not consent, in writing or otherwise, to the disclosure of my personnel file to Politico or anyone else” and pointed to the Privacy Act of 1974, as amended, 5 U.S.C § 552a, as proof that her file should not have been released.

“Coming as when it does – in the closing weeks of my campaign for Congress – makes me believe that this is a politically motivated attempt to impact the upcoming election,” Green concluded in the letter.

Politico described the report to Fox News as “incredibly nuanced,” although this line of Wren’s makes me wonder what exactly that might mean: “She’s become something of a regular on Fox News, a Black messenger who is a useful soldier in the culture wars for Republicans.”

ROBERT SPENCER: Women in Iran Are Fighting for Their Freedom, and This Imam in Texas Is FURIOUS. “The East Plano Islamic Center’s YouTube channel, EPIC Masjid (which has nearly 300,000 subscribers), recently posted a video of Qadhi explaining that to oppose Iran’s mandatory hijab law, which some women have received ten-year prison sentences for violating, is tantamount to opposing public indecency laws in the good old USA.”

Getting beaten nearly to death (or to actual death) for showing your hair isn’t quite the same as being issued a ticket for relieving yourself in an alley.

NO. NEXT QUESTION? Is AP a news organization any more? “The Associated Press is hardly some random blogger like me without the resources to check their facts independently, and yet their social media team tweets out a story from 4 days ago as if it were current.”

SAY ANYTHING: What’s Biden Doing Warning of ‘Armageddon’ at a Political Fundraiser? “Extraordinary statements from the president of the United States, made at a political fundraiser of all places. Why should Putin try to climb down from the ledge he’s walked out on when the U.S. president has pointed out that he can’t extricate himself without losing significant power?”

ST. LOUIS: Police Captain David Dorn’s Widow Blasts Defund the Police Democrats in Reaction to Murderer’s Sentencing. “I find it funny that she says ‘defund the police.’ But yet, she spends $400,000-$700,000 on security alone just for herself, using police officers to do it. And her own city that she came from is being destroyed by crime. Police are needed and the community does not want to defund the police. They want more police.”

HEATHER HEYING: What Do Girls Do?

There is an eight-year-old girl who likes to play in streams and look under rocks for squirmy critters. She not only knows how to throw a ball but enjoys doing it. She loves math and logic, and has no interest in dolls or dresses. She will grow up to be a woman. Because that’s what girls do.

There is another eight-year-old girl who likes to give tea parties for her stuffed animals. She likes to dance all the dances, often with other girls who like to do the same thing. She loves to read, and has no interest in trucks or trails. She will also grow up to be a woman. Because, again, that’s what girls do.

One of these girls may want to be an astronaut. The other, a chef. Or a mother. Or a lawyer. An actress. A racecar driver. Are all of these desires equally likely among girls? They are not. Girls are likely to want some things more than others. But guess what: the girls who aren’t girly are still girls. You can tell, in part, by the fact that they grow up to be women. Because that’s what girls do.

Sex isn’t assigned at birth. Sex is observed at birth.

KRUISER’S MORNING BRIEFING: Hunter Biden Is Free but the FBI Is Rounding Up Pro-Lifers. “I’ve had a hunch that the Democrats are going to try and find some way to shuffle Joe Biden off of the stage permanently soon after the midterms. Maybe Hunter is finally fair game. A Biden family scandal could play a big part in giving Old Joe ample reason to take early retirement.”

EVERYTHING IS GOING SWIMMINGLY: Dwindling Mississippi Grounds Barges, Threatens Shipments. “The largest US barge operator warned customers it won’t be able to make good on deliveries. Ingram Barge Company declared force majeure in a letter to customers due to “near-historic” low water conditions on the Mississippi, the top route to get US grains and soybeans to the world market.”

Plus:

This would be a great time to get diesel prices back down (frack, baby, frack) and ease restrictions on truckers and licensing truckers, but you know Washington won’t change course.

CHRISTIAN TOTO: Howard Stern Didn’t Learn John Hughes’ Lesson. “What’s missing from Stern’s current model? Courage. Fire. Passion. Integrity. The old Howard Stern would spend hours ripping the 2022 model, and it would be can’t-miss radio.”

BEEGE WELBORN: ‘Real men wear white boots’ and other tales of Lefty fails.

Then came…the boots. The L’Affaire d’ BOTTES BLANCHES. Oh, they for sure had the governor now. A Lefty Meme-O-Rama ensued. This was Kerry in the vacuum bag and Dukakis in the tank, and DeathSantis going DOWN in a pool of ridicule!

Only it wasn’t to be, alas. Because these idiots don’t know the first thing about those white rubber boots and Florida.

Read the whole thing — and get ready for two-to-ten more years of these ridiculous attacks.

UKRAINE WAR: It Won’t Be Won on the Battlefield. “By Putin’s decree, Russia’s borders are constitutionally inviolate, even when Russia’s leader just makes them up. That’s not the kind of ledge from which a man like Putin can gracefully climb down.”

A FIRST: Uber’s former security chief covered up enormous hack he said ‘did not exist.’ “The lone hacker apparently gained access posing as a colleague, tricking an Uber employee into surrendering their credentials. Screenshots the hacker shared with security researchers indicate they obtained full access to the cloud-based systems where Uber stores sensitive customer and financial data.”
