HMM: Huge Development Means IRS Whistleblower Can Soon Explode Biden Family Scandals.

As explained above, while Section 6103 authorized the whistleblower to share confidential taxpayer information with two specific committees, he or she could not give that information to Lytle or any other attorney. Section 6103(f)(4), however, provides an important workaround by allowing the chairman of the Ways and Means Committee and Finance Committee to “designate or appoint” an “agent” to inspect the tax returns and return information.

In other words, the committees could appoint the whistleblower’s attorneys as their “agents,” which would allow the whistleblower to discuss freely and fully the tax information with his lawyers. In turn, the whistleblower’s lawyers could brief the committees on those details, albeit in a closed session, which is precisely what Lytle suggested when he wrote that “with the appropriate legal protections and in the appropriate setting,” he would “provide a more detailed proffer of the testimony my client could provide to Congress.”

Thus, that last week the Ways and Means Committee authorized two of the whistleblower’s attorneys to inspect the tax material is huge: It sidestepped a protracted battle over the circumstances under which the whistleblower would testify. It also ensures the House committee can learn, on an expedited basis, the whistleblower’s accusations.

IT’S GOOD TO BE THE KING: Here Are All the Laws That Charles Is Exempt From as King. “Under the legal doctrine of ‘sovereign immunity,’ Charles is exempt from criminal and civil proceedings as the head of state. But the King’s immunity extends beyond his public duties to his conduct on privately-owned assets, estates, and businesses. Currently, more than 30 different laws bar the police from entering private royal estates without the sovereign’s permission to investigate suspected crimes. Charles is also exempt from punishment over wildlife offenses, environmental pollution, and other green crimes—a kind of legal immunity given to no other private landowner in the U.K.”

If it sounds ridiculous when applied to a single person, why does sovereign immunity make any sense for an entire class of public servants exempted by it in this country?

CRISIS BY DESIGN: Southwest border detention facilities have reached full capacity, says DHS.

Migrant detention facilities along the U.S.-Mexico border have reached full capacity as the number of migrants attempting to cross into the nation continues to increase ahead of the expiration of Title 42, according to an official with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

More than 20,500 migrants are currently in the custody of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection along the southwest border as of Saturday, the official said, adding that the actual number of migrants in custody varies every day.

As of Friday, Border Patrol in the Rio Grande Valley sector currently has around 7,500 migrants in custody, despite having a holding capacity of only 4,000 migrants.

“I want to say the first two weeks of April, we were averaging about maybe 1,700 Venezuelan nationals entering illegally into the country through that particular area in Brownsville,” said Gloria Chavez, Border Patrol Chief for the Rio Grande Valley Sector. “And then two weeks later, towards the end, here the last eight days, we saw an uptick of over 15,000 Venezuelans.”

HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF; FIRST AS TRAGEDY, SECOND ON PURPOSE: The Biden Administration’s Loan Level Price Adjustment and a Repeat of the Housing Crisis. “This time, the Biden Administration is attempting to play with mortgages, in an effort reminiscent of the pre-2007 federal follies that gave us the housing crisis and the Great Recession. The rule violates the federal government’s constitutional powers; it violates the dictates of fairness; and it violates the most basic tenets of financial prudence. At best, it would punish those who have saved diligently and managed their money carefully. At worst, it would place the individuals it is designed to help in a precarious position, saddling them with mortgages that many will not be able to service. Then, of course, there are potential unintended consequences for the economy.”

Luring people into mortgages they can’t afford — what could possibly go wrong?

IT’S REMARKABLE HOW QUICKLY WE’VE DESCENDED TO A PLACE WHERE THIS IS CONSIDERED A WIN: Liberal feminism misunderstands women by ignoring sexual difference: panel at Harvard.

The three authors with unorthodox views on the topic shared their thoughts on reform at a “Rethinking Feminism” panel discussion at Harvard University on Thursday.

“Is feminism still essential? Absolutely,” Washington Post columnist Christine Emba said at the start of the event. “But let’s get clear on what it means.”

Emba, author of “Rethinking Sex: A Provocation,” said that some of the women she interviewed for her book believed that imitating men, particularly through having casual sex and “fucking like a man,” could overcome the divide between them.

However, Emba said, a feminism that benefits women would be one that values and respects difference.

“A true feminism is one in which women are respected as women, in their specificity,” she said. “One that pushes society to make room for women, not one that asks women to change themselves to fit into its existing, destructive structures.”

Please note that recognizing fundamental biological differences is now an “unorthodox view.”

A BILLION HERE AND A BILLION THERE…: The ‘Su Tax’: California Businesses Are Still Paying for Biden Nominee Julie Su’s $31B Mistake.

Julie Su is on Capitol Hill auditioning to be President Joe Biden’s next labor secretary, but back in her home state of California, businesses are paying what some call the “Su Tax”—a hike in payroll taxes to make up for the massive fraud that took place on her watch during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Nearly 60 California businesses and agriculture groups complained last month that their four million-plus members face escalating payroll taxes to bail out the state’s insolvent unemployment insurance fund. The groups warned state legislative leaders that the taxes—which could exceed $400 per worker each year—threaten employee-heavy small businesses and restaurants that were already devastated by California Democrats’ strict COVID-19 lockdowns.

The business groups did not mention Su by name, but they noted how California’s unemployment insurance fund spent up to $31 billion on payouts for fraudulent claims when she was the state labor secretary. After presiding over the fund’s fall into insolvency, Su left to become the Biden administration’s deputy labor secretary.

Overseeing that much fraud makes Su a natural fit for the Biden Administration.

This excerpt was just a brief parenthetical, but is a real tell about how the Biden cabal puts politics and power over absolutely everything else: “I was so open to a Biden presidency that I even did a one-time consultation with the Biden team on space policy at the start of his presidency only to discover, much to my horror, that they were planning to go after SpaceX.”

DISPATCHES FROM THE BLUE ZONES: San Francisco Whole Foods hit with 560 calls of violence, drugs, vagrants before closing.

“Male [with] machete is back,” according to one 911 call; “Another security guard was just assaulted,” according to another call.

One call noted that security guards at the store were assaulted by a knife-wielding man, who then sprayed employees with a fire extinguisher.

One man reportedly overdosed from fentanyl and methamphetamine in the bathroom in September, according to the Times.

At least 14 people were arrested during the 13 months the Whole Foods in the downtown was open, which included serious charges of grand theft and battery, according to the outlet.

That’s an average of about 10 calls each week. And this being San Francisco, it’s safe to assume management didn’t bother calling in “minor” problems like shoplifting.
