CHANGE:

THE ENEMY WITHIN:

You can read the full complaint here.

THE FUTURE IS NOW:

ALL MY FLORIDA ACQUAINTANCES SEEM TO BE WRITING THIS SAME COLUMN LATELY: I fled NYC for Florida — Sorry, Mamdani-fearing Democrats, we’re full!

To this day many Floridians habitually send real-estate listings to their ideologically aligned friends up north — those who longed to join the “Great Migration” but whose work or family obligations made them stay put.

When those friends complained about their deteriorating schools, the congestion tax or rising crime, we’d send back an alligator gif, a Florida flag emoji or a video of tough-talking DeSantis describing the fate of protesters who dare to block Florida traffic.

Come join us, we’d say.

Now a different group is looking in our direction — and we’re not feeling so encouraging.

These people didn’t think the COVID restrictions that kept NYC children in masks outdoors through 2022 were too much.

They were fine with cashless bail and New York’s sanctuary city status.

Boys in girls’ sports? Who cares! They vote blue, no matter who.

But even these Democrats find Mamdani to be a bridge too far.

Read the whole thing.

VIDEO: An Israeli Soldier Shows Why ‘Israeli Carry’ Can Get You Killed. “I timed it at eight seconds. And that was after he’d gotten away from the attacker, stood up, and drew his gun. What would have happened if he hadn’t had help and needed to draw while rolling around on the ground with the attacker choking him from behind?”

THIS IS CNN: Jake Tapper Is Paid Millions A Year To Not Know The News.

When the conversation shifted to the race against Mamdani, Tapper — whose network a jury found is actually fake news — probed Adams about his criticisms of his Democrat opponent. More specifically, the TV personality claimed the incumbent mayor “said recently that the Jewish community in New York should be concerned about him,” and asked, “What specifically has Mamdani said that you think is antisemitic?”

“Pro-Hamas,” Adams replied. “Hamas is a dangerous terrorist organization that should be destroyed. When you embrace the philosophies of Hamas, not only what they do to their own people, but what they did in Gaza, to lift them up and praise them, I think that’s a clear indicator that something is wrong with that.”

Clearly desperate to fulfill his role as a Democrat Party shill, Tapper leapt to Mamdani’s defense by declaring he had no idea what Adams was talking about.

“When did he praise Hamas?” Tapper asked. “I don’t recall him ever praising Hamas.”

It’s remarkable to watch a man who’s paid millions of dollars a year to know what’s happening in the political world to act dumbfounded about Mamdani’s checkered history.

Maybe Tapper could try watching Fox.

TERRORIST ATTACK: 82-year-old woman burned in Colorado firebomb attack has died, officials say.

The woman, named as Karen Diamond, was one of 15 people and a dog who were wounded on June 1 when an attacker bearing Molotov cocktails and what the FBI described as a “makeshift flamethrower” attacked the activists a “Run For Their Lives” event, which was attended by peaceful demonstrators calling for the release of Israeli hostages being held by Hamas since October 7, 2023.

Mohamed Sabry Soliman was indicted last week on 12 federal hate crime counts. He is now facing upgraded charges including two counts of first-degree murder, prosecutors said.

Investigators say Soliman told them he intended to kill the roughly 20 participants at the weekly demonstration on Boulder’s Pearl Street pedestrian mall. But he threw just two of his over two dozen Molotov cocktails while yelling “Free Palestine.”

They’re calling it a hate crime, but it looks more like terrorism to me.

KRUISER’S MORNING BRIEFING: I Hope Kamala Harris Keeps Chasing Parked Cars. “Like Hillary Clinton before her, Kamala Harris never really grows on anyone in a good way. She doesn’t know that, however. The elites in the Democratic Party have not been honest with themselves about why Harris lost last year, and it’s unlikely that they ever will be.”

CHANGE? Israel in ‘advanced talks’ for deal to end hostilities with Syria, says senior official.

Israel and Syria are holding “advanced talks” on a bilateral agreement halting hostilities between the countries, a senior Israeli official told The Times of Israel on Monday.

The contacts are focused on coordination around security matters, said the official, who would not speculate on when a full peace deal between the two enemy states could turn into reality.

“Could it develop into something beyond [security arrangements]?” the official asked. “We will wait and see. For now, there isn’t anything concrete.”

“There is absolutely an aspiration to expand the Abraham Accords, and it’s no secret that we want to see Syria in this,” the official continued.

“And there may be an opportunity.”

At least tangentially related: Trump signs order dismantling decades of Syria sanctions.

ASSUMING THE BUDGET GETS PASSED: U.S. Navy to Receive 19 New Warships in 2026 Budget Amid China and Middle East Tensions.

This expansion underscores the United States’ strategic pivot toward countering emerging maritime threats, particularly the accelerating rise of China’s naval power. With the Chinese People’s Liberation Army Navy now fielding over 730 vessels, the U.S. Navy’s force modernization has become an operational necessity. The FY2026 shipbuilding plan includes one Columbia-class nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine, two Virginia-class attack submarines, two Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyers, one America-class amphibious assault ship, one San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock, nine Landing Ship Mediums, two John Lewis-class fleet oilers, and one T-AGOS ocean surveillance vessel. These acquisitions are structured to enhance U.S. capabilities in undersea warfare, amphibious operations, maritime logistics, and multi-domain surveillance.

This budget is not only significant for its size but also for its strategic orientation. The FY2026 request represents a 13.4 percent increase over the previous fiscal year and is designed to support four primary objectives: strengthening homeland defense, deterring Chinese aggression in the Indo-Pacific, revitalizing the U.S. defense industrial base, and ensuring fiscal accountability. By investing heavily in naval shipbuilding, the United States is reaffirming its role as a global maritime power prepared to secure sea lanes, defend allies, and preserve a stable international order.

For good measure, they are also closing the capability gap rapidly.”

MIAMI 2017 2025: For New Yorkers Looking to Flee, a Cautionary Warning: Florida Is Not the Paradise You May Envision. “Yes, we have been the preferred destination for many a New York transplant, but as a lifelong resident of this dysfunctional peninsula, allow me to list off a number of reasons that you should think four times, or more, about relocating to this spit of land parked in the temperate south. You need to be made of a certain character to thrive here, and the comforts you have taken to heart in your area simply do not exist here in the psych ward waiting room that is Florida.”
