COLORADO: No more valedictorians in Cherry Creek. “The practices of class rank and Valedictorian status are outdated and inconsistent with what we know and believe of our students. We believe all students can learn at high levels, and learning is not a competition.”

MAN, WHAT A PERFORMANCE: Lia Thomas Is Having It Both Ways on the All-Time Record Boards at Penn Too. “The Left tells us Lia was born in the wrong body and is now living as his authentic self, stealing easy wins in elite college swimming. It does not matter that the only typically female features he has are shoulder-length hair and a smattering of make-up. Every member of the ’80s band Poison had better hair and more makeup, but I digress.”

PJ MEDIA VIP ROUNDUP: Don’t forget that VODKAPUNDIT promo code if you’ve been thinking of joining us.

Kevin Downey Jr: The F*****g B***s of the Left Makes Me Mr. Crankypants. “A ‘professor of economics’ has graciously come up with ways for us vegetable-dodging hillbillies to survive. How cute.”

Victoria Taft: Imagine a World Without Media and Big Tech Lying About Hunter Biden’s Laptop. “Let’s go over a few items that would not have happened under Trump but did happen under the disastrous presidency of Joe Biden.”

Yours Truly: OUCH! ‘Hold It’ Says Dem Maura Healey to Girls Who Don’t Want to Share the Ladies Room with Men. “Just hold it until the nice young woman puts her girl-penis away, dear.”

JIM GERAGHTY: That Much-Discussed Dog That Refuses to Bark. “If Ukraine secretly has chemical or biological weapons, as some unconvincing voices, including Russian government and Russian state media claim… why haven’t the Ukrainians used them? What, 150,000 Russian troops coming over the border just wasn’t a big enough threat to risk using them? The danger just isn’t severe enough yet to justify using them? They’re waiting for another city to get demolished before taking them off the shelf?”

KRUISER’S MORNING BRIEFING: SCOTUS Confirmation Circus Highlights Dems’ Short Memories. “The Dems are, of course, hoping for a big kumbaya moment despite their shameful behavior, especially during the last two confirmation hearings. Many on the right are clearly in the mood for some righteous anger and retaliation from the GOP.”

THAT’S A MAN, BABY:

Ladies, how much longer are you going to put up with this?

THE RETURN OF THE LIGHT CARRIER… ER, LIGHTNING CARRIER? Marines To Test Lightning Carrier Concept With 20 F-35Bs Aboard USS Tripoli This April. “Early this coming April, United States Marine Corps F-35Bs from three squadrons will converge aboard the USS Tripoli (LHA-7) to fully test the ‘Lightning Carrier’ concept. The idea to basically turn big-deck ‘Gator Navy’ amphibious assault ships into light aircraft carriers packed with F-35Bs first emerged five years ago, but it has its roots in AV-8 Harrier operations going back decades. A whopping 20 F-35Bs will be conducting sustained operations followed by surge operations from the USS Tripoli. The event will test the ability of the Marines to operate two full F-35B squadrons from one ship at one time and could have major impacts on what the stealthy jets, and the ships they deploy on, can bring to the fight in the future.”

BAD-TOUCH CUOMO: Cuomo Staffers Try Escape Being Defendants in Trooper’s Sexual Harassment Lawsuit. “An attorney for former Secretary to the Governor Melissa DeRosa and Richard Azzopardi, who remains a spokesman for Cuomo, wrote a letter to U.S. District Court this week indicating he will file a motion to have the federal complaint against them dismissed. DeRosa is accused in the lawsuit of aiding and abetting Cuomo’s alleged misconduct, and both are accused of retaliating against the female trooper.”

SOMEBODY REALLY WANTS RIYADH TO PUMP MORE OIL: U.S. sends Patriot missiles to Saudi Arabia despite deteriorating relations. “The longstanding Saudi request for more interceptors had been a point of contention between Washington and Riyadh, feeding Saudi officials’ displeasure over what they contend was a lack of U.S. support for their intervention in the Yemen civil war.”

STATISTS LOVE A STATIST: Putin Finds Some Unlikely Allies in the United States Congress. “Everyone knows that The Squad in the House of Representatives is so far to the Left as to make Stalin look like a John Bircher, but would they go so far as to cheerlead for a former KGB man’s war of aggression? It looks as if the answer is yes.”

POOR INTELLIGENCE, POOR PLANNING, POOR EXECUTION: We Think We Know Why Russia’s Invasion Of Ukraine Has Stopped.

According to the British Ministry of Defense, the perpetual logistical woes of the Russian military continue to beset the faltering Russian invasion.

Russian commanders are also reluctant or incapable of cross-country maneuvering, and, as a result, they are restricted on roads, making the life of the Ukrainian defenders that much easier.

The Ukrainian land is also fighting the invaders.

Melting snow is giving way to bogs of mud that can stop even the most advanced tanks and infantry fighting vehicles.

Indeed, the supply problems of the invading Russian forces are so serious that frontline units lack basic essentials, such as food, ammunition, and fuel.

“Russian forces have made minimal progress this week. . . Incessant Ukrainian counterattacks are forcing Russia to divert large number of troops to defend their own supply lines. This is severely limiting Russia’s offensive potential. . .Ukrainian forces around Kyiv and Mykolaiv continue to frustrate Russian attempts to encircle the cities.

No matter how this thing ends, Russia comes out of it weaker — and weaker looking — in every way.

That’s what the Republican National Committee is doing, and they kicked off a voter registration initiative at gas stations this weekend.”

POSTMODERN WARFARE: A Developer Altered Open Source Software to Wipe Files in Russia. “Two weeks ago, the node.ipc author pushed a new version of the library that sabotaged computers in Russia and Belarus, the countries invading Ukraine and providing support for the invasion, respectively. The new release added a function that checked the IP address of developers who used the node.ipc in their own projects. When an IP address geolocated to either Russia or Belarus, the new version wiped files from the machine and replaced them with a heart emoji.”

EVERYTHING IS GOING SWIMMINGLY: American Airlines pilots want customers to know how bad things have gotten.

As airlines boast of recovery, they’re also cancelling quite a lot of flights. Or, as United Airlines recently announced, turning some non-stop flights into one-stops.

Which all leads me to the pilots at American Airlines.

They’re suggesting that things are crumbling somewhat. No, they’re not doing it with the odd tweet here and the odd press release there.

Instead, the pilots union created a little film that reveals what they see as their own airline’s great mess.

An experienced male pilot meets up with the younger female co-pilot who’ll be joining him in the cockpit.

She’s enthusiastic. He’s as cheerful as your average Oakland A’s fan.

“Scheduling called you yet?” he snorts.

It seems they hadn’t. The pilot informs his co-pilot: “Well, we’ve got a schedule change.” This, he says, will work them both into their days off.

It’s ruined his family’s plans. His kids have got used to “this sort of thing.”

“By the way,” says the newer pilot. “Do we have a hotel assignment yet?”

“No, we’re going to have to call the hotel desk ourselves,” says Captain Weary.

He continues: “It didn’t used to be this way, and it should never have gotten to this point.”
