THE KIDS ARE RUNNING THE CLASSROOM:

Representative Ilhan Omar is notorious for equivocating between Hamas, Israel and the Taliban. Her Squadmate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez called inconceivably for “ceasefire and de-escalation” (which would amount, of course, to surrender) in Israel. Their colleague Rashida Tlaib has taken the opportunity to demand that the US stop funding the Jewish nation, which she regards as an “apartheid” state. Venomous delusion of this caliber might be unsurprising if it were found scratched on a bathroom stall somewhere at a sleazy meet-up for skinheads. Issuing forth as it does in the form of press releases from high-profile young congresswomen, it represents a serious problem for the Democrats’ old guard. In a Gallup poll taken before the latest attack, significantly more Democrats supported Palestine (49 percent) than Israel (38 percent). Elder statesmen such as Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton have typically courted Jewish support and at least equivocally defended Israel. But their voters increasingly wish they wouldn’t. Perhaps that’s why former president Obama, ever the careful reader of trends, has taken so long to say anything at all about the latest war.

In In the Loop, satirist Armando Iannucci’s send-up of hapless government officialdom, parliamentary advisor Judy Molloy observes that “they’re all kids in Washington. It’s like Bugsy Malone but with real guns.” By recklessly indulging the childish arrogance and flattering the confident ignorance of their drastically miseducated base, the American left has created a situation in which the kids really might soon be running the roost. That is what the Biden presidency has revealed. Aren’t you glad the adults are back in charge?

As Matthew Continetti of the Washington Free Beacon asked last year: Who’s In Charge?

Every time I speak to a conservative audience, I am asked who is really in charge in the White House. My answer has been that the president is in command. After all, institutions take on the character of their leaders. If all the White House has to offer is excuses, if decisions are made either slowly or randomly, if the communications team and the president and vice president seem to live on different planets, if incompetence and mismanagement appear throughout the government, it is because the chief executive allows it. No conspiracy is required to explain the ineptitude. This is Joe Biden we are talking about.

Lately, though, I have been having second thoughts. Not that Barack Obama or Ron Klain or Dr. Jill are running the show in secret. What I have been wondering, instead, is whether anyone is leading the government at all. There is no power, either overt or covert, in or behind the throne. The throne is empty.

Think of the economy, the border, and Ukraine. From time to time, Biden addresses these issues. He may even answer questions about them. The White House sends out press releases describing its latest initiatives. Vice President Harris or the second gentleman pops up somewhere to talk about all the good she and he are doing.

Yet each of these elements—the president, his staff, his spokesperson, his vice president, his policy—comes across as disconnected, discombobulated, as if each inhabits a separate sphere of activity. Whether because of Biden’s age, or his weekend trips to Delaware, or years of remote work, or lower-level staff turnover, or a painstakingly slow decision-making process, or ideological stubbornness, or a lack of a strategic plan, this administration drifts from crisis to crisis, and from one bad headline to the next. And nothing improves.

Ultimately though, we sorta-kinda know who is in charge: Obama’s Coming Fourth Term.

TRUNALIMUNUMAPRZURE! How Checked Out is Biden? “Notice that all the nameplates are turned to face Biden. We know Biden has trouble remembering names of cabinet members and others, but is he so far gone that he needs nameplates for his senior national security team? It is possible to find a number of situation room photos from past presidents that have nameplates, but they are never turned to face the president.”

OBAMA’S COMING FOURTH TERM:

Are we ready to discover that, contrary to what they have been telling us about their movement, a very large segment of the Left doesn’t care for democracy? That they are very proud of Obama who, like their dreaded nemesis Putin, is cleverly running an extraconstitutional regime, the first one in American history? Because many them can be expected to take that position, obliterating their alleged commitment to democracy.

Being vocal about the third Obama presidential term would challenge our very conception of who we are as a people. We may not like the outcome of that free debate. But pretending that nothing extraordinary is going on in D.C. is changing our relationship with the federal power apparatus. We are at a fork in the road. Which way, America?

It may not be Constitutional, but if you look at the economy, fuel prices, and the Middle East, clearly Obama is getting results. Who can complain?

GET WOKE, GO…: Ad Firm Tied To Bud Light/Dylan Mulvaney Disaster Fires Multiple Executives.

An ad firm tied to Bud Light’s disastrous partnership with Dylan Mulvaney has axed multiple top employees.

Captiv8 was identified by the New York Post as the third party marketing firm responsible for teaming the two sides up, and it’s now dished out massive layoffs.

The company, which previously fired employees over the summer, laid off 20% of its workers in late September, according to the New York Post. A total of 30 people were fired.

ALTERNATE HEADLINE: PAMPERED STUDENTS FINALLY LEARN THAT ACTIONS HAVE CONSEQUENCES. Harvard student groups doxxed after signing letter blaming Israel for Hamas attack.

A truck drove around Harvard University’s campus on Wednesday displaying the names and faces of several students allegedly affiliated with student-groups that co-signed a letter blaming Israel for Hamas’ attack.

The stunt claimed by the conservative media group Accuracy in Media comes after several CEOs have called on Harvard to release the names of students affiliated with groups tied to the controversial letter that solely blamed Israel for the attack.

The billboard called the students “Harvard leading antisemites.”

In a message on X, Hedge fund CEO Bill Ackman called for students to be named so he and other companies don’t hire them.

“One should not be able to hide behind a corporate shield when issuing statements supporting the actions of terrorists,” Ackman wrote.

PLAYBOY > HARVARD:

I’m so old, I can remember when it would have been shocking to suggest that Playboy Magazine has more moral sense than Harvard University. Nowadays, maybe that doesn’t come as a surprise. In any event, it’s true. When former porn performer Mia Khalifa tweeted her support for Hamas’s mass murderers and suggested that the killers should film their deeds horizontally so she could see them better, Playboy promptly cashiered her:

MAINSTREAM MEDIA SANITIZES HAMAS TERROR ATTACKS:

The tone of the coverage thus far has been so blatantly one-sided that Anti-Defamation League president Jonathan Greenblatt ripped MSNBC while appearing on the network’s flagship program Morning Joe, while Al Sharpton of all people looked on. “Who is writing the scripts?… The people who did this are not fighters… they are not militants… they are terrorists.” Greenblatt asserted. Later on that same network, a guest suggested Israel make concessions by redrawing its borders to receive hostages back.

This is how the national media coverage of this attack will proceed. The nature of the original terror attack, the innocent music festival goers massacred and sexually assaulted, the hostages — will all be sterilized out of the coverage, and the onus will then be put on Israel’s response. This, of course, only empowers Hamas to continue their attacks and threats on civilians. It will be the fault, in the eyes of the news media, of Israel for escalating a response, and not for Hamas terrorists perpetrating the conflict to begin with.
