[Nick] Ackerman, a former Watergate prosecutor, weighed in on DOGE and the agencies that had been targeted for audits, saying, “That stuff is sacrosanct, and you’ve got people going in there who don’t know anything about —”
Bakari Sellers attempted to help Ackerman out, arguing that what the judges were issuing were “just restraining orders,” but Jennings was not convinced.
Going back to Ackerman’s point, he said, “What you just said is so profound. You said, ‘These people don’t know anything and they don’t know what they’re doing.’”
“That’s right,” Ackerman agreed.
“But they are appointees of the duly elected president, so your view, you’re here as our legal expert, but your view is because you don’t personally believe that they know enough, that the duly elected president — who appointed a Treasury Secretary and who appoints special appointees like Elon Musk — shouldn’t be able to act as the president because you don’t personally believe they know enough?”
“Well, they certainly —” Ackerman sputtered.
“Is that how it works?” Jennings asked. “Or do elections mean anything to you!”
“It’s got nothing to do with elections,” Ackerman shot back, prompting a visual reaction from Jennings: “Whoa! Truth was told tonight. The truth was told.

As Glenn likes to say, recent events have made me view Watergate quite differently.
DON’T IMMANENTIZE THE ESCHATON: George Soros: The ‘God’ Who Carries Around Some Dangerous Demons.
His motto, “If I spend enough, I will make it right,” is the essence of his articulated ideas about changing society.
It seems that Soros believes he was anointed by God. “I fancied myself as some kind of god …” he once wrote. “If truth be known, I carried some rather potent messianic fantasies with me from childhood, which I felt I had to control, otherwise they might get me in trouble.”
When asked by Britain’s Independent newspaper to elaborate on that passage, Soros said, “It is a sort of disease when you consider yourself some kind of god, the creator of everything, but I feel comfortable about it now since I began to live it out.”
Since I began to live it out. Those unfamiliar with Soros would probably dismiss the statement out of hand. But for those who have followed his career and sociopolitical endeavors, it cannot be taken quite so lightly.
Soros has proved that with the vast resources of money at his command he has the ability to make the once unthinkable acceptable. His work as a self-professed “amoral” financial speculator has left millions in poverty when their national currencies were devaluated, and he pumped so much cash into shaping former Soviet republics to his liking that he has bragged that the former Soviet empire is now the “Soros Empire.”

HOUSE HAS DOGE HEARING BUT IGS NOWHERE IN SIGHT: House Subcommittee of Delivering Government Efficiency (DOGE – see what they did there?) convened its first-ever hearing on the Trump DOGE blitzkreig against waste and fraud. Special emphasis was placed by Republicans on the $200+ billion lost annually to improper payments, which is a huge part of the overall waste, fraud and abuse problem.
But what is quite possibly the biggest chunk of opportunity for making huge and permanent progress in cleaning up the national disaster that is the federal bureaucracy. What might that be?
The nearly 14,000 cost-cutting and efficiency open recommendations by Inspectors-General (IG) and 300 similar Government Accountability Office (GAO) recommendations being ignored by departments and agencies. As I report in The Epoch Times, nary a word was said by GOPers or Democrats. What’s up with that?
