Obama got her the vice presidential nod even when she was forced to drop out of the primary race after hitting just 3 percent in the polls. Jill Biden objected—Harris had called her husband a racist! The First Lady’s reported recent tantrums show that even after four years, she never fully grasped the arrangement the party had made with her husband. Biden was just an imperfect placeholder for Obama, and it was only a matter of time before the superior avatar would be slotted in.
Mainstreaming the psychological modalities and media techniques of the Manson family is not normal in America. But then again, as Obama’s biographer David Garrow explained, ‘He’s not normal.’
The question is when, exactly, did it become clear to Obama that it was time for Harris to finally replace Biden? Was it after Biden’s disastrous debate with Donald Trump? After the attempted assassination of Trump? No, it seems the countdown officially began Oct. 7.

I’ve kind of got learned helplessness here. It’s not that I don’t care, it’s that I don’t think anything will be done until there’s a serious crash. Conservatives and small government types should be ready to seize and pounce when it happens, and roll out a Millei-type program of slashing spending. And they should be ready to face extralegal, and possibly violent, resistance to that program from those who want to fill the troughs just one more time.

GOVERNOR ON KAMALA’S VEEP SHORT LIST HAS SOME INTERESTING THOUGHTS ON SOCIALISM:
“Don’t ever shy away from our progressive values,” [Minnesota’s Democrat Governor Tim Walz] admonished the “White Dudes for Harris” call on Monday evening. “One person’s socialism is another person’s neighborliness,” the radical Democrat asserted. “Just do the damn work.”
Walz has done the work of inflicting radical policies on Minnesotans — turning the North Star State into something of a “cold California” with driver licenses and in-state tuition for illegal aliens, for example — but he talks like someone who hasn’t done his homework on the reality of socialism. More likely, he knows the truth — but is hoping Americans don’t.
In some commentary published by the Heritage Foundation, historian Lee Edwards reminded that socialism “is responsible for the deaths of more than 100 million victims,” citing The Black Book of Communism published by Harvard University Press in the late 1990s.
That work, Edwards underscored, documents how “each and every Marxist socialism regime has prevailed by way of a pistol to the back of the head and a death sentence in a forced labor camp.” This is what Governor Walz calls “neighborliness.”

MORE IS NOT ALWAYS BETTER: People are overdosing on injectable weight-loss drugs, FDA warns.
The FDA has received reports of dosing errors involving compounded semaglutide injectable products dispensed in multiple-dose vials, resulting in patients seeking medical attention or requiring hospitalization, the agency stated.
Dosing errors came as a result of people measuring and self-administering incorrect amounts, and health care providers miscalculating doses of the cheaper, compounded versions of weight-loss drugs like Wegovy, the agency said Friday in an alert.
Overdose symptoms include nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, fainting, headache, migraine, dehydration, acute pancreatitis and gallstones, according to the FDA.
A majority of the reports had patients mistakenly drawing up more than the prescribed dose from a multiple-dose vial, self-administering five to 20 times more than the intended dose of semaglutide. Many reports involved patients unfamiliar with how to measure the intended dose using a syringe.
Mass-marketing multiple-dose vials of injectable medicine doesn’t seem like such a good idea.
