DON SURBER ON OUR TINFOIL HAT MEDIA. “CNN conspired with the Obama administration to turn that two-page summary into the biggest and most bogus scandal in DC history. CNN triggered a media frenzy that lasted for years and stunted the presidency of a man chosen by 30 states. And it was all a lie. All of it. Hillary’s campaign, the Democrat Party and Obama colluded with the Kremlin to create a dossier that falsely accused President Trump of collusion. How ironic. How despotic. How utterly unAmerican. It is just one of the media-approved tinfoil hat conspiracy theories. Remember the Hands Up, Don’t Shoot Hoax?”

ADULT SUPERVISION ARRIVES: ‘A Drain On Resources’: DeSantis Announces War On College Diversity Funding And ‘Deadweight’ Professors.

I’d cap the number and salaries of administrators at what they were ten years ago. Nobody can seriously argue that there weren’t enough of them then. Then I’d roll it back a decade at a time.

UPDATE: DeSantis Takes Wrecking Ball To “Diversity, Equity, And Inclusion” Bureaucracy In Florida Public Universities.

STILL TRYING TO SHUT THEM DOWN:  In both New Mexico and California, efforts to shut down immigration detention facilities are on-going.  Honestly, I’ve toured three of these facilities in my capacity as a civil rights commissioner. They weren’t half bad.  One of them was really quite nice—so nice my progressive colleagues were a bit stunned.  It was amusing to watch the looks on their faces as the guide was showing us around.  They were so sure they were going to be shown hellholes.

PAUL KENGOR: What in the Hell Is the Penn Biden Center? “I’ve worked for think tanks with budgets under a million bucks that produced more in five months than the Penn Biden Center has done in five years. Chi-comm connections aside, let it be said that even the very essence of the Penn Biden Center as a think tank is questionable. Other than serving as a dubious tribute entity to Joe Biden, I don’t see this thing as doing much.”

Suits its namesake.

I’VE REISSUED THE LAST OF THE PREVIOUSLY PUBLISHED DARKSHIP BOOKS: I’m now — barring disaster (can we bar disaster? Please? Just for a year or so?) ready to roll with finishing and releasing new ones, though the one for late this month is not a science fiction but the next entry in the Daring Finds mysteries (A Well Inlaid Death.)  After that we’ll have Hacking the Storm, Fuse’s story. Then the next Shifters (All Hot.) And then Darkship Defiance. Now that we’re empty nesters, and I have a small group of helpers (though still ironing out kinks) might just make it easier to get all the piled up stuff out at last. Barring disaster and knocking on head.

For now there is Darkship Revenge (Yes the second half probably May: Darkship Defiance. I mean the book is a complete arc, but obviously there’s the battle for Eden ahead.) Oh, yeah, and yes, there is a hardcover. Amazon just hasn’t associated it yet.

Darkship Revenge (Darkship Thieves Book 5) by [Sarah A. Hoyt]

The World Can’t Be Made Safe….

But it doesn’t mean Athena Hera Sinistra isn’t ready to try. Flying back to Earth Orbit from her asteroid home, leaving behind unresolved questions and turmoil, Athena becomes a new mother in orbit.

As is perhaps fitting, her daughter is born during battle with an unknown foe.

A battle that ends with Kit – Athena’s husband – missing, and Athena’s ship damaged.

So Athena names her daughter Eris, and goes to war.

What follows is a non-stop fight by a very angry mother, who wishes to make the world(s) safe for her newborn daughter, and other children too.

When the adventure is over, it is just the start of another, where children will be rescued, old tyrants brought to justice, and freedom restored.

If it can be.
