KRUISER’S MORNING BRIEFING: Kari Lake Is Still Punching Hard at Maricopa County Corruption. “There’s no doubt that Democrats here in Arizona would love for the myriad questions still swirling around the inexplicable mess that was Maricopa County during the midterm elections to vanish into the ether. There is a stink there that won’t go away until the source is discovered, like something that died in the walls of a house.”
GOOD: Pentagon preparing plan to send Patriot missile defense system to Ukraine.
The plan has not yet been approved by either the Pentagon or the White House, but that could come as early as this week. CNN was the first to report on plans to send a Patriot system to Ukraine.
The U.S. “is poised to” provide at least one Patriot missile battery to Ukraine once the plan is approved, according to one of the officials.
The Patriot system is highly mobile, and uses ground-based radar to locate and track aerial threats that can then be shot down with a surface-to-air missile. Initially designed to take out aircraft, upgrades over the years have made the system effective at intercepting ballistic and cruise missiles.
The Ukrainians are expected to need six to eight weeks of training in Europe to begin operating the system, and a full 10 months to reach full operating capability.
Everybody seems to be girding up for a long war.
ESG BLUES: BlackRock CEO Larry Fink’s Terrible, Horrible, No Good Run of Bad Luck Continues. “It has been a bad couple of months for BlackRock and its CEO, Larry Fink. Earlier this quarter, one analyst downgraded its stock due to the risk posed by Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) investing. Several states have announced they will remove pensions and other state treasury funds from the asset manager. Last week, the firm was subpoenaed by the Texas State Senate. Finally, on Friday, North Carolina Treasurer Dale Folwell called for BlackRock CEO Larry Fink to step down in a bombshell letter addressed to the investment company’s Board of Directors, which includes Fink.”

THIS SURE DOESN’T FEEL LIKE A RECOVERY: Household Wealth Plummeted by $13.5 Trillion This Year. “The 8.6 percent drop from January to September is the second fastest decline on record, behind the financial crisis of 2008/2009. Record-high inflation under the Biden administration is causing a decrease in the purchasing power of assets and liabilities.”

FASTER? PLEASE! A US Air Force bomber successfully launched a fully-operational hypersonic missile in a milestone weapon test. “Once the missile was released from the B-52, it hit speeds faster than five times the speed of sound — a requirement for a weapon to technically be considered hypersonic, completed its journey along a set flight path, and detonated in a target area, the Air Force said. This test marked the first time that a fully-operational air-launched hypersonic missile prototype has been launched. Previous testing focused on rocket booster performance, with the first successful booster test occurring in May.”
KRUISER’S MORNING BRIEFING: Fascists’ Musk Meltdown Is the Perfect Finish for 2022. “The narrative from the leftists thus far has been that Musk doesn’t know what he’s doing and that his purging of the leftist idiots will ruin the company. The ‘Musk is an idiot’ thing is my favorite part of that. The guy builds rockets for breakfast but multi-pronouned Jezzmina who used to be an HR assistant at Twitter thinks she knows more than he does. Twitter is actually humming along under Musk. The fun is back. Accounts that never should have been banned are active again. The traffic is great. In fact, almost NONE of what the left says is happening is actually happening. As I said in a recent podcast, they’re experiencing a collective psychotic break.”
THAT’S A QUARTER OF A TRILLION DOLLARS IN ONE MONTH: Federal Deficit Widened to a Record $249 Billion Last Month. “The federal government spent $501 billion last month, a $28 billion increase to a record high, while tax revenue dropped by $29 billion compared with last November, with the government collecting $252 billion. Adjusting for calendar differences in last year’s tax receipts, government tax revenue dropped $13 billion compared with last November, the Treasury Department said Monday.”

A LONG, COLD WINTER: Ukrainian Military Is Targeting Russian Fuel Supply Lines As Winter Approaches. “The lifeblood of any modern army is diesel fuel. Diesel fuel is used in most military vehicles as well as in the generators that provide electricity to command posts and living facilities. Accordingly, the Russian military has required a steady flow of diesel flow to their units in Ukraine to maintain combat effectiveness. With winter approaching, the Ukrainian military appears to be making a concerted effort to cut off that flow of fuel.”
FOR OUR TOWNHALL VIP SUPPORTERS: Artemis I Was a Complete Success, but About That Followup Mission…
It’s probably gonna be a couple of years.
Back when NASA was much more serious about timetables, there wasn’t much time wasted between spaceflights. The Saturn V rocket that took men to Luna from 1969-72, had its first unmanned test flight in November of 1967. The first crewed flight took place just 13 months later. Those 13 months included half of a two-year delay in manned space flight after the tragic Apollo 1 launchpad fire that killed Gus Grissom, Ed White, and Roger Chaffee during a rehearsal.
By every account, Artemis I succeeded in every way during a much more difficult and intricate mission than Apollo 4. So why can’t NASA get Artemis II off the ground probably any sooner than 2025? “I would say that we’re going to try our best to get there,” in 2024, Orion program director Howard Hu told space reporter Eric Burger last week, but don’t count on it.
There are two causes for the long delay: one structural and one cultural.

LAUGHING WOLF ON THE POWER STATION ATTACKS (AND OTHER THINGS): Very Interesting. “Domestic, foreign, or other, don’t expect corporate media to fall all over themselves to provide context or put any pieces together. Particularly if it is domestic or domestic acting for foreign. Also, keep in mind the reports over the last few years about outside support and training for various groups here in the U.S.”
MEGAN FOX: Montana Family Court Corruption Runs Deep in Gallatin County. “Millions of Americans love tuning into Yellowstone on Paramount, a drama starring Kevin Costner that not only highlights the natural beauty of Montana but also exposes a seedy underbelly of corruption, murder, and intrigue that stretches from the ranchers to the politicians and even into the courts. But fiction may not be so far from reality when it comes to the family court system in Montana. One name continues to come up in my inbox repeatedly: Standing Master Magdelena Bowen.”
