THAT’S A BOLD STRATEGY FROM BIDEN GOING INTO THE MIDTERMS — AND WINTER: Paging PA Voters: Biden Brags About Ending Industry Critical for Your State. “We’re gonna be shutting these [coal] plants down all across America, and having wind and solar.”

In September of 2019, after CNN’s seven hour “climate change town hall,” Bryan Preston wrote, “Seriously, if you see all of the above — which is just a sample — and vote for any of these people for any office at any level, it’s on you. If you like Venezuela, voting for any of them will bring you a whole lot of Venezuela.”

And as Kate of Small Dead Animals wrote after the CNN horror show, “Don’t make the mistake of thinking they don’t mean it.”

Or to put it another way, as Joe’s old boss told the San Francisco Chronicle in 2008: “Under my plan, energy costs will necessarily skyrocket…”

CHIP DILLER, CALL YOUR OFFICE! Let’s check in on the Democrats right now:

WHAT WE KNEW IN THE EARLY DAYS:

We approach the third year and people have forgotten that all the harms of lockdowns were strongly warned about by many voices in many venues. In addition, the virus was much better understood back then and openly discussed. We knew for certain that the panic and fear were being wildly overblown.

Below follows resources assembled by the ‘Robber Baron‘ and many others who write for the Brownstone Institute. These citations from newspapers, magazines, academic journals and interviews, with many respected voices, show that we certainly knew tremendous amounts in the early days. All the warnings and information were readily available to anyone paying attention.

We certainly live in an age of short attention span but many these signs and warnings came weeks or months before the world locked down and they chronicled the damage as it was happening. Why all this came to be completely ignored remains the burning question.

Or to put it another way: From Libs of TikTok on Thread Reader, a “#NoPandemicAmnesty Mega Thread. They want us to forgive and forget what they did during the pandemic. We shouldn’t.”

JIM TREACHER: Twitter Lays Off Thousands of Censors.

There was a time when I would’ve sympathized with the people getting laid off from Twitter. That time was before I joined Twitter.

I’m not going to jump up and down with joy about my former oppressors hitting the bricks, but I’m not crying into my sweater either. If somebody censors you, lies to you, lies about you, and generally treats you like a mortal enemy for disagreeing with him, are you supposed to feign concern when he’s fired?

What’s the average annual salary at Twitter? A hundred grand, thereabouts? Those folks should have enough saved up to afford San Francisco rents for another month or two.

And what happens now? Will Twitter fall apart without all those crucial employees? Can a social media platform survive without “trust & safety” hall monitors to constantly remind you what you can and can’t say?

The journos certainly aren’t taking it well. You doin’ okay there, MSNBC’s Ben Collins?

That’s all this is. These tech reporters and “disinfo” specialists just lost all their power. They were big fish in a little pond, until a South African dude with a particular taste in memes threw in a stick of dynamite. The bird app was the source of their status, but suddenly their friends there are gone and they don’t exert any control over it.

Live look at the reaction from Ben Collins’ former boss:

NEW FRONTIERS IN KREMLINOLOGY: Here’s How to Know What’s Really Happening on Election Night.

The above is not a rosy scenario. But if the following is happening, then the red team is having a nice night:

  • Rachel Maddow is taking off her glasses and wiping her eyes a lot.
  • PolitiFact is reported to be rehiring the 500 fact-checkers who were laid off after Biden won the presidency and Democrats won the Senate.
  • CBS’s election panel breaks into inconsolable weeping at 11 p.m.
  • Workmen are seen in the Capitol parking lot painting this on the curb in front of the Senate committee hearing room: “This Space Reserved for Secretary Mayorkas.” (Hat tip to Rep. Steve Scalise.)
  • Pundits on CNN’s election-night panel are saying the phrase “a bipartisan spirit is needed in Congress now” a lot.
  • Hunter Biden is seen boarding a flight to Brunei, which has no extradition treaty with the U.S.
  • CBS is going to commercial breaks and coming out of commercial breaks to strains of Mozart’s Requiem.
  • Pundits on all networks are repeating the line “now we’ll see if they can govern.”

Heh. Read the whole thing.

JOY REID CLAIMS REPUBLICANS ‘HAVE TAUGHT PEOPLE THE WORD INFLATION’ FOR POLITICAL GAIN: ‘Not Part of the Normal Lexicon.’

Reid added that Republican messaging around the issue has made “inflation” a household word:

Appearing as a guest on Thursday’s Deadline: White House, Reid was asked by host Nicolle Wallace how the hot-button issues of crime and inflation are playing out in Florida, where Reid was doing the live hit from.

“The only people I ever hear use the word ‘inflation’ are journalists and economists,” she answered. “So, that is not part of the normal lexicon of the way people talk.”

Year-over-year inflation is at a four-decade high, with the figure hitting 8.2% in September.

So, it’s interesting that Republicans are doing something they don’t normally do, which is not use the common tongue, not use just common English like they sort of do on their campaigns like they do with crime.

But what they’ve done is they’ve taught people the word inflation. Most people who would’ve never used that word ever in their lives are using it now because they’ve been taught it, including on TV, including in newspapers. They’ve been taught this word.

Since Joy’s big on time travel, let’s set the TARDIS back to 1978:

Speaking of time travel, can we bring 1978 Biden back to 2022? He seems much more focused on issues that Americans care about than the current angry withered husk that shares the same name.

JUST NBC THE JOURNALISM! Tiffany Cross Blasted Ron DeSantis, Called Florida ‘Dick of the Country’ Hours Before MSNBC Ouster.

On the latest edition of Comedy Central’s Hell Of A Week, Cross used her turn during the “One’s Gotta Go” segment to push for the release of Florida into the castration bin, ripping into the governor and comparing his state to a set of genitalia that could use a trim:

TIFFANY CROSS: I say Florida literally looks like the dick of the country. So let’s get rid of Florida. Ron…

CHARLAMAGNE THE GOD: You’re saying castrate the dick of the country?

TIFFANY CROSS: Seriously, let’s castrate Florida. Here’s the problem, Ron DeStupid, Ron DeSantis, whatever you want to call Florida Man, he is so problematic. The people there passed Amendment Four, which gave returning citizens, those formerly incarcerated, the right to vote. He instituted a poll tax. He has done everything he can to keep Black and brown people from the ballot. He trafficks in stupidity and ignorance and I just think they are a problem for the rest of the country. Let’s get them out.

Hours later, news broke that MSNBC was severing ties with Cross, and a source familiar cited the comments as an example of the sort of commentary that led to the move.

Wow — wait until MSNBC management learns about some of the things that Al Sharpton has said when he wasn’t on the network!

DISPATCHES FROM THE MEMORY HOLE: NBC Retracts Report That Exposed New Details in Pelosi-Attack Investigation.

It remains unclear whether Pelosi was injured or whether his mental state was impaired at the time he answered the door, NBC stipulated.

Court documents obtained by NBC reveal that when police asked the assailant, David DePape, what was happening, he “calmly greeted them” and said “everything’s good.” DePape and Pelosi then began wrestling for control of a hammer, which DePape eventually used to strike Pelosi in the head, fracturing his skull.

Hours after the segment aired live on NBC, it was deleted from the Today Show website and an editor’s note was appended to the page.

“The piece should not have aired because it did not meet NBC News reporting standards,” the editor’s note reads.

The official Today Show Twitter account also deleted a tweet promoting the segment.

The retraction came after several prominent social-media users took notice of the strange new details NBC had reported. Several digital outlets, including the Daily Mail, had also aggregated NBC’s reporting and cast it in a conspiratorial light.

Here’s the original segment:

UPDATE: What Bias? Here’s How Much Coverage the Pelosi Attack Got vs the Kavanaugh Assassination Attempt.

Our friends on the Media Research Center’s NewsBusters crew watched all the mainstream blather so you all didn’t have to and crunched the numbers. Looking at the first five days of coverage of the Pelosi attack, they found that the major broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, and NBC’s morning, evening, and Sunday shows) had 11 times more coverage than in the same five-day coverage period following the attempted assassination of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

I doubt very much that Sarah Palin is shocked by the disparity.

BREAKING: MSNBC Abruptly Severs Ties With Tiffany Cross.

MSNBC has abruptly cut ties with weekend host Tiffany Cross, opting not to renew her contract after two years and severing ties, Variety reported first on Friday.

“Her production staff was informed of the decision Friday morning, according to three people familiar with the matter,” Variety said in their breaking news.

No comment or statement has been released, nor has Cross tweeted about it at this time. Mediaite reached out to MSNBC for comment but did not receive a response at the time of this post.

DEMOCRATS MADE KARI LAKE A STAR:

In the lead-up to the 2016 presidential election, the national media and the Hillary Clinton campaign devised a plan to elevate Donald Trump and so-called “lunacy” over a field of up-and-coming Republican politicians. According to New York Times journalist Amy Chozick, who was embedded with Hillary Clinton’s campaign from inception to death, campaign manager Robby Mook called a meeting with an agenda of specifically asking “How do we maximize Donald Trump?” Chozick also noted how Mook “salivated when a debate came on, and Trump would start to speak. ‘Shhhhh,’ Robby said, practically pressing his nose up to the TV. ‘I’ve gahtz to get me some Trump.’”

We all know how that worked out. Yet fast-forward to the 2022 midterm elections — and Democrats are using the same strategy in several key races across the country that will tilt the balance of power. One such race in Arizona has captivated Democrats and the media, where Republican candidate Kari Lake benefited from Democratic efforts to boost the “crazy” candidate. Once again it looks like the Dems are going to come to regret it.

Lake, who has been a leading voice for Donald Trump’s 2020 election claims, is on a short rocket ship ride to MAGA stardom. Early in the GOP primary, Democrats deployed tactics such as statewide mailers attacking Lake’s opponent, Karrin Taylor Robson. The goal was to elevate Lake, who has been labeled an election denier, into the general election against secretary of state Katie Hobbs. The strategy worked. Lake secured the nomination and Democrats swiftly turned on Lake, just as they did Trump in 2016.

Now a full-blown panic has set in, as Lake has pulled away in the polls thanks to an inept campaign by Hobbs that saw her refuse to debate Lake in front of voters. As for Lake? Democrats don’t seem to know what hit them, and who they were actually messing with.

Indeed: CBS Reporter Tried to Corner Kari Lake on January 6. Her Response Was Brilliant.

THE CORBYNIZATION OF THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY CONTINUES APACE: Brooklyn Nets suspend Kyrie Irving in latest twist to antisemitism controversy.

“We were dismayed today, when given an opportunity in a media session, that Kyrie refused to unequivocally say he has no antisemitic beliefs, nor acknowledge specific hateful material in the film. This was not the first time he had the opportunity — but failed — to clarify.

“Such failure to disavow antisemitism when given a clear opportunity to do so is deeply disturbing, is against the values of our organization, and constitutes conduct detrimental to the team. Accordingly, we are of the view that he is currently unfit to be associated with the Brooklyn Nets. We have decided that Kyrie will serve a suspension without pay until he satisfies a series of objective remedial measures that address the harmful impact of his conduct and the suspension period served is no less than five games.”

The decision to suspend Irving came nearly a week after he posted a link to the film “Hebrews to Negroes: Wake Up Black America.” The movie description on Amazon says the film “uncovers the true identity of the Children of Israel by proving the true ethnicity of Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, the Sons of Ham, Shem and Japheth. Find out what Islam, Judaism and Christianity has covered up for centuries in regards to the true biblical identity of the so-called ‘Negro’ in this movie packed with tons of research.”

More here: Nets suspend Kyrie Irving: ‘Currently unfit to be associated’ with team.

The documentary Irving promoted advances the anti-Semitic and false thesis that black people are the “chosen ones” from Israel and have been victimized by Jews. It lists “five major falsehoods” that Jews have perpetuated to retain power, including the Holocaust.

Irving said that some things in the documentary were “questionable” and “untrue.” Asked specifically what those things were, said, “I think some of the criticism of the Jewish faith and the community for sure.”

Some, but not all.

Brooklyn is one of the most Jewish communities in the country, with heavily orthodox neighborhoods including Borough Park and Williamsburg. Every time Irving was asked to address his beliefs towards the Jewish community, though, he gave an answer about racism in America.

“Where were you when I was a kid, figuring out that 300 million of my ancestors are buried in America?” Irving said. “Where were you guys asking those same questions when I was a kid learning about the traumatic events of my familial history and what I’m proud to come from and why I’m proud to stand here and why when I repeat myself that I’m not gonna stand down it has nothing to do with dismissing any other race and group of people. I’m just proud of my heritage and what we’ve been through.”

Irving was only allowed to speak for just over six minutes on Thursday before Nets PR cut the press conference short.

It did not take long after that for the Nets to realize their best option for the moment was to cut their losses.

From last year: Kyrie Irving Is Not A Role Model.

THE DRAMA OF THE GIFTED CHILD: Historian: America is about to die in darkness.

Beschloss isn’t even exactly an historian. He’s more a history popularizer, which I think is a perfectly acceptable vocation as long as you do a good job at it. I listen to Dan Carlin and Mike Duncan, and love them. So I don’t hold Beschloss’ lack of history credentials against him. As long as I can respect your intelligence and diligence, I will listen.

Beschloss doesn’t deserve my respect. He is a full blown MSNBC political hack peddling ridiculous lies to the credulous Left, using his shaky credentials as an historian to add a gloss of respectability to his fevered rants.

MSNBC presidential historian Michael Beschloss on Wednesday night warned that if Republican candidates win their races next week, American democracy and the free press could end, historians may no longer exist, and “our children” could all die at the hands of a “brutal authoritarian system.”*

President Joe Biden said in his Wednesday night speech that, in the upcoming midterms, “democracy itself is “at stake,” a message that MSNBC’s Chris Hayes and much of the media have been repeating for months. Hayes played clips from the speech, including the president saying that electing certain Republicans is a “path to chaos” — a comment with which Hayes clearly agreed.

BOTTOM STORY OF THE DAY: CNBC Cancels Shepherd Smith. CNN’s Ratings Are Trash, Jake Tapper’s Ratings Are Trash, Don LeMon’s Ratings Are Trash, and Other News of the Usual.

MICHIGAN GOP GUBERNATORIAL CANDIDATE TUDOR DIXON GETS THE LAST LAUGH AT STEPHEN COLBERT:

During the Michigan gubernatorial debate on Oct. 25, GOP candidate Tudor Dixon related a story about a father coming up to her and telling her what he found in his son’s school library.

“I had a gentleman come up to me just a few nights ago and he said, ‘I found content in my school library describing how to have sex to my son,’” Dixon said in the clip of the debate.

“He said ‘just a few weeks ago, not only was I a Democrat, but I was running for office as a Democrat.’ He said because Democrats won’t stand up for our children and go back to the basics, ‘I’m leaving the Democratic Party,’” Dixon added.

Too good to check? Late-night host Stephen Colbert thought that Tudor had made the whole thing up. In his monologue the day after the debate, the comedian joked about the voter’s concerns about sexually explicit material in a school library.

“Dixon’s not the only one worried about this issue. So is this guy she totally made up,” Colbert said. “OK, fine, that happened,” he said sarcastically, using air quotes to drive home his skepticism.

But the concerned parent actually exists. And Colbert has egg all over his face.

Whew — good thing most viewers were watching Greg Gutfeld, so that Colbert doesn’t have to scream at his writing staff for letting him down.

PAST PERFORMANCE IS NO GUARANTEE OF FUTURE RESULTS:

Shot: CBS News lays out the criteria for you to be considered an ‘election denier.’

Twitchy, today.

Chaser: Bush Wins? Not As Democrat Dan Rather Sees It.

Katherine Harris may have certified George W. Bush as President-Elect last night, but don’t expect the liberal media to concede this official result any faster than their friends in the Gore campaign will. Last night in live coverage on CBS, Dan Rather identified Harris as a Republican at least six times, and questioned the finality of her finding at least ten times:

Rather began: “Nineteen days after the presidential election, Florida’s Republican Secretary of State is about to announce the winner — as she sees it and she decrees it — of the state’s potentially decisive 25 electoral votes. Katherine Harris will officially certify the state’s election returns…The believed certification — as the Republican Secretary of State sees it — is coming just hours after a court ordered deadline for counties to submit their hand count and recount totals.”

“The reason we’re on the air right across the board nationally right now is because Florida’s Secretary of State — a Republican, as we’ve mentioned before — campaigned actively for George Bush, well-connected to Governor Bush’s Governor brother Jeb Bush in Florida, but a woman who has consistently said ‘I’m trying to do my job, right down to the letter of the law, as best I can’…She will certify — as she sees it — who gets Florida’s 25 electoral votes. Those 25 electoral votes potentially will be decisive.”

Rather explained the signing: “What’s happening here is the certification — as the Florida Secretary of State sees it and decrees it — is being signed…After this, it will be, at least in the opinion of the Secretary of State, that the results will be final…The Secretary of State, as she has restated here, in effect believes that the election certification she gives should stand.”

—The Media Research Center, November 27th, 2000.

Or as America’s Newspaper of Record wrote in 2018: Florida Recount Finally Wraps Up, Al Gore Declared President.

ROVE: Biden is president thanks to an election denier, you know.

Karl Rove reminded viewers on Fox News Channel during an appearance on Wednesday that if it were not for the help he received from an election denier, Joe Biden wouldn’t be president today. Just hours before Biden’s spur-of-the-moment address to the nation about the threat to democracy that voting for Republicans will cause, Rove brought up a little nugget from the past about Rep. James Clyburn. Clyburn was an election denier before election deniers were cool.

Rove said that in 2005, Clyburn promoted a conspiracy theory that voting machines were switching votes for Democrat John Kerry to Republican incumbent President George W. Bush. I had forgotten that, but he’s right.

* * * * * * * *

Clyburn was instrumental in the election of Joe Biden as president in 2020. Biden was losing early primaries, unable to gain traction as a presidential candidate, and it was Clyburn who saved his bacon in South Carolina. Clyburn endorsed Biden and worked to get voters to support him. Biden won South Carolina’s primary, an important early primary win, and the rest is history.

Democrats: It’s different when we do it, for some reason.

HOW THE MEDIA TRAINS JOURNALISTS TO LIE: “By ‘ratioing’ NBC’s Dasha Burns for questioning John Fetterman’s health, her fellow journalists hid the truth from the public but exposed how they manufacture consent.”

GREAT MOMENTS IN COSPLAY: The Pretending Can Get Competitive.

A man in Norway is sparking outrage on social media after he was sympathetically interviewed about his decision to begin identifying as a disabled woman… In the interview, [he] stated that he had always wished he had been born a woman who was paralysed from the waist down.

As David Thompson writes in response, “So not just a woman, but a woman in a wheelchair, which confers bonus points…Unsurprisingly, many actually disabled people, whose use of wheelchairs is not recreational or a prop in some theatrical psychodrama, have aired their reservations about this new frontier in the world of make-believe identities.”

JOHN NOLTE: The Atlantic’s COVID Amnesty Request Was a Massive Political Blunder.

Democrats are about to get wiped out in large part by suburban mothers in blue states and cities where the COVID tyranny and human rights abuses were the worst. The Atlantic’s request for an amnesty was a direct, election-eve appeal to these suburban voters to forgive, forget, and vote Democrat. It doesn’t get any more cynical or dishonest than that, but that’s what the Atlantic was aiming for.

Without apologizing or even admitting they did anything wrong, without promising never to do it again, without any contrition or remorse or consequences, these monsters are requesting amnesty.

More proof arrogance breeds stupidity like rats breed plague.

And here’s why we should thank the Atlantic for lying.

This was a MASSIVE political blunder.

One week before a consequential national political election, the idiots at the Atlantic made COVID tyranny front and center again. This gave countless outlets like Breitbart good reason to re-litigate the left’s COVID horrors. One week before Election Day, these desperate and bubbled Atlantic morons put one of the Democrat party’s worst issues front and center.

Better still, even if these suburban moms aren’t reading outlets like Breitbart; they’re not stupid. More than anyone, moms know what these monsters did to their children. So the Atlantic trying to gaslight them in such a brazen and shameless way will only infuriate and remind them of the arrogance and lack of repentance on the part of those who abused their children and aging parents.
