KRUISER’S MORNING BRIEFING: TRUMP WINS. AMERICA WINS. “Regular readers here know that I have been nothing but pessimistic throughout this election cycle. I knew that all of the signs looked good for Trump as Election Day approached, but I was convinced that the Dems would find some way to blow it all up. Pennsylvania was the biggest surprise for me. I was convinced that the Magic Mail-In Ballot Machine in Philadelphia would muck up the works.”

SO KAMALA DIDN’T SPEAK LAST NIGHT, AND DIDN’T CALL TRUMP TO CONCEDE. A (female) friend messages: “Charming that the Democrats have twice put up a woman against Trump, who gets too drunk the night of elections to give a concession speech.”

They’re not sending their best people. Or heck, maybe they are . . .

A WELCOME BREAK FROM PLAYING WITH MAPS AT 270TOWIN: Design an interstellar ‘generation ship’ to spend decades among the stars with Project Hyperion competition. “Rather than focusing on the design of the propulsion system, or structural design of the ship, researchers are specifically interested in answering what an ideal space habitat architecture and social system would look like for such a journey.”

Make it a sim, sell it on Steam, and finance research.

FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT!

AND THEY’LL ACT LIKE IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN THAT WAY:

HAHA.

D.C.’S DIVERSITY PROBLEM:

SO NOW THAT TRUMP HAS WON THE POPULAR VOTE, I ASSUME THAT CALIFORNIA, NEW YORK, ILLINOIS, ET AL., WILL GIVE HIM THEIR ELECTORAL VOTES, Under the National Popular Vote Compact that they signed up for. Right?

SPECIAL POST-ELECTION OPEN THREAD: Share your thoughts on what happened, and what comes next.

2016 ALL OVER AGAIN: The Liberal Media Absolutely Lost It When Trump Won the 2024 Election. For people who are constantly yammering about “protecting democracy,” they don’t seem to allow for the fact that other people get a vote, and that if you want them to vote your way you need to give them a reason.

FROM A FRIEND:

SALENA ZITO: There Will Never Be Another Candidate Like Trump. “Inside the arena, one could witness the emergence of a new coalition of Republican voters: union workers, nurses, janitors, businessmen and women, doctors, lawyers, police officers, and college students of every race and generation. They were there because of their support for former President Donald Trump. However, they were there more for their support of each other. There will never be another candidate for president of the United States like Trump. For his detractors, that is a relief. However, they should understand that whether Trump wins or loses, these voters are here to stay. They have seen what the power of the cultural curators in our country, in academia, media, Hollywood, institutions, and corporations, and in the bureaucracies has done to their lives, and they have rejected it.”
