ONE MUST HAVE A HEART OF STONE NOT TO LAUGH: Andrea Mitchell Is Really Upset That Pelosi Got Booted From Her Office. “Has Mitchell heard of the concept of sowing and reaping? Because it was Pelosi who sowed the seeds of getting herself kicked to the curb. Besides, I don’t think appeals to tradition are very powerful when it was Democrats who busted tradition and helped nuke a sitting Speaker for the first time in American history.”

WHO NEEDS VIAGRA? THIS GIVES ME WHAT THEY CALL A SCHADENBONER*: Michael Wolff’s New Book Is a NYT Bestseller—With Just Over 3,000 Copies Sold. Now mind you, The Daily Beast isn’t very good with those “fact” thingies, but that’s the price they have to pay to sit with the Juice Box Mafia.

But how the hell do you get on the NYT “bestseller” list but sell only 3,219 copies in total? We know Hilary “My Turn, You Stupid Serfs” Clinton pulled it off by having friends’ charitable organizations buy truckloads of them, and I seem to remember The Lightbringer did the same thing.

But Michael Wolff? Srsly?

THE FIX WAS IN: Days after Joe Biden became president, his DOJ sought briefing on Hunter criminal case, memos show.

The request for the briefing escaped public and media notice for two years and is now the earliest known evidence of intervention by Biden DOJ officials into the Hunter Biden case. It comes only weeks after reports disclosed that Associate Deputy Attorney General Bradley Weinsheimer had contact with Hunter Biden’s attorneys in May during the effort to negotiate a now-abandoned plea deal that would have spared Hunter Biden prison time on tax evasion and gun charges.

Hunter Biden has since been charged with three gun felonies and remains under investigation for other potential offenses after a federal judge rejected his plea deal. Biden has pleaded “Not Guilty” to those charges.

The new revelation — contained in documents that Ziegler and Shapley turned over during their whistleblower cooperation with the House Ways and Means Committee — is certain to heighten concerns among congressional investigators who are suspicious of Garland’s claims that his his [sic] DOJ kept hands off of the Hunter Biden probe and left all decisions to Weiss’ office.

BIDEN FAMILY VALUES: Commander Biden should have been raised right.

We’re often told that Joe just loves his son, that’s why he is the way he is. Could that be the source of Commander’s dastardly deeds, just too much love? We of course know that love in the Biden family can take many different forms — sometimes it means a lack of punishment; other times it means a blind eye to trading off the Biden name; and sometimes it means sleeping with your widowed sister-in-law mere months after your brother died of brain cancer. We wish, both for the sake of the Secret Service and any other family members in Hunter’s eyesight, that love for Joe had meant a rolled up newspaper on occasion.

You must thinking at this point, will no Biden ever be held accountable for their actions? Cockburn himself has had the same thought. Are even their dogs above the law?

Yes – next question?

FOLLOW THE SCIENCE: Post-vaccine vaginal bleeding rates associated with all COVID-19 vaccine types across reproductive ages. “Research by the Norwegian Institute of Public Health, Norway, suggests that COVID-19 vaccines or the body’s response to them can lead to unexpected vaginal bleeding in women. This phenomenon was observed in women across different reproductive stages. . . . Unexpected vaginal bleeding was reported in 3.3% of postmenopausal women, 14.1% of perimenopausal women, and 13.1% of premenopausal women, more than three times the expected rates. Around half of the women who reported unexpected vaginal bleeding experienced it within 28 days after a COVID-19 vaccination.” Some search engine will probably flag me for “sharing misinformation” for linking this entirely factual item.

SANCTUARY CITY: Texas Gov. Abbott has sent at least 2,400 migrants to Denver since May.

Denver said Monday that it was experiencing an “unprecedented increase” in migrant arrivals, with an average of 300 migrants arriving every day.

This was up from the 125 arrivals seen daily in mid-September.

“Two weeks ago, we were seeing 100, 125 people per day,” Denver Human Services Jon Ewing told FOX31’s Nicole Fierro. “We’re close to 300 people a day now. Yesterday alone, we received nine buses from Texas. That’s unheard of.”

The reported increase came days after Texas Gov. Greg Abbott announced that the state had sent over 2,400 migrants to Denver since May 18, when 41 migrants were dropped off at Civic Center Park.

2,400 illegals in five months in Denver is a crisis. 2,400 illegals in parts of Texas is Tuesday.

JEFFREY CARTER: What Is The Problem?

70% of the budget that is now $33 trillion in deficit is pre-planned mandatory spending that no one in Washington has the standing to stop. Like a kudzu plant, it grows every year and you can’t kill it. It’s hard to even slow down or trim.

Venture capitalist Mary Meeker used to identify that in her slide presentations about the future of the internet.

We can squabble all we want. We can make our talking points. We can go on TV and play “gotcha” with the other party every single day. You know what? Every single day the budget deficit gets bigger because no single Senator or Representative will do anything about the 70% of the budget that grows every year and is bankrupting us.

It’s not the defense budget. It’s entitlements. It’s transfer payments. It’s programs like Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, EBT/SNAP, and programs like that. I always hear the refrain “We are the richest country in the world and in human history but we can’t seem to take care of our poor”. I have news for you, no government can.

You don’t want a government to take care of the poor either. The end result is a totalitarian society with no free speech and no way out.

With the absolute breakdown of the family unit and the poor economic incentives in place because of the US government programs that seek to take care of the poor, we get more poor people who are more desperate than before.

I’m beginning to feel that only some sort of collapse will address the problem. I don’t think you can solve a problem from within a system that created, and is sustained by, that problem. I hope I’m wrong, and that we muddle through somehow.

SO I HAD A DOOR-TO-DOOR POLLSTER FROM AMERICANS FOR PROSPERITY SHOW UP AT MY DOOR EARLIER. Nice fellow, and I thanked him for being willing to get out and go door-to-door. However, the poll questions all seemed to boil down to variations on “since Trump will lose, who do you support for the GOP nomination?” I even told the guy at one point that I felt like I was being push-polled.

Maybe they’re just trying to judge the depth of Trump’s support (it’s unlikely any degree of push-polling will cost Trump the Tennessee primary), but it seemed a bit heavy-handed, and an odd use of resources. That said, I’ve seen more GOP/conservative people showing up at my door this year than in past years, which is probably a good thing.

Personally, as I’ve said before, I’d prefer 8 years of DeSantis to 4 years of Trump. But I don’t think DeSantis can close the deal this time. Ideally, though, 4 years of Trump, followed by 8 years of DeSantis. Hey, it could happen.

THIS IS FINE: U.S. Government Debt Grows by $275 Billion in One Day. “For macro analyst Lyn Alden, the aforementioned numbers haven’t been seen in nearly 80 years. ‘Most developed countries including the United States face public debt levels relative to GDP that haven’t been seen since the 1940s,’ she told Decrypt, explaining the link between these levels and interest rates.”

The difference is that in the ’40s, we were fighting a war that we were determined to win as quickly as possible. After doing that, we began to pay down the debt incurred by wartime spending.

Now? There’s no excuse and no plan for getting back to sane levels of spending and borrowing.
