WELL, YES: Some Democrats worry Biden’s team is ignoring political warning signs.

This is from the American Left’s unofficial mouthpiece, the Washington Post:

“I am concerned,” Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) said in an interview. “I was concerned before these numbers. I am concerned by the inexplicable credibility that Donald Trump seems to have despite all of the indictments, the lies, the incredible wrongdoing.”

New York Times-Siena College polls found Biden trailing Trump in five of the six most competitive battleground states: Trump led Biden by 10 percentage points in Nevada, six in Georgia, five in Arizona and Michigan and four in Pennsylvania. Biden led Trump by two in Wisconsin. In 2020, Biden defeated Trump in all six of those states, though generally by very narrow margins.

Of particular concern to Biden allies are indications that his support among Black voters, who were critical to his victory in 2020, may be softening.

“People fundamentally misunderstood what Black voters said in 2020,” said Cliff Albright, co-founder of the Black Voters Matter Fund. “The depth of support was never there. The enthusiasm was never there for Biden. We were very pragmatic. We knew he was the best chance to beat Trump.”

If a president is going to lead through times of turmoil — particularly turmoil he brought on himself — it helps immensely to have a wellspring of popular support. Biden was never more than “Not Trump,” even to Democrats, with support “a mile wide and an inch deep.”

If that.

LOL! Guess Who Jamaal Bowman Blames for the Failure of Bidenomics.

During a recent appearance on MSNBC, Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-N.Y.), a member of the so-called “Squad,” conceded that Americans are hurting in this economy but insisted it’s the Republicans’ fault.

“To your point of economy, that’s a big point because no matter how much we’re seeing the job growth and all of that, people are still struggling with affordability and that’s an issue we need to hold the Republican Party accountable for.”

Perhaps it’s not too surprising that the same man who claims to not know what a fire alarm looks like would claim that Republicans bear responsibility for higher prices caused by inflation. This strategy won’t work. Not only do voters typically blame the president and the president’s party for the state of the economy, but Biden has also been taking credit for it for too long and claiming his policies are working. So efforts to make this a Republican problem fall horribly flat.

Especially when Biden himself seemed to predict his failure even while he was running in 2020: Milton Friedman Isn’t Running the Show Anymore.

OH, CANADA:

Shut up, they explained.

RAVING AND DROOLING: Roger Waters appears to deny Oct. 7 massacres, says they’re ‘blown out of proportion.’

Former Pink Floyd frontman Roger Waters has refused to condemn Hamas’s massacre of many hundreds of civilians in Israel on October 7 in a new interview, or even to acknowledge it happened, saying he is still a bit down a “rabbit hole” of conspiracy theories about how Israel failed to prevent the unprecedented onslaught.

“Didn’t the Israeli army… hear the bangs when they blew up whatever they had to blow up to get across the border? There’s something very fishy about that,” he tells a podcast.

When asked if the attack was justified, Waters falsely says “we don’t know what they did do,” and adds: “Was it justified for them to resist the occupation? Yeah. They’re absolutely legally and morally bound to resist the occupation since 1967.”

Such an odd stance by the allegedly anti-war rock star, considering that: More Jews were killed on October 7th than on any day since the Holocaust.

THE TRILLION DOLLAR UNDERDOGS: “It’s become popular to claim that ‘free speech is the tool of the powerful’ because higher ed institutions don’t like to admit that they possess unparalleled wealth and influence. Simply, higher ed would much rather think of itself as ‘speaking truth to power’ than ‘rationalizing its influence from a position of power.’”

MEANWHILE, OVER AT VODKAPUNDIT [VIP]: It’s Star Wars, but It’s Real. “The video quality might not be quite up to the standards of Industrial Light & Magic, the special effects company founded by George Lucas to make Star Wars possible, but this Star Wars is for real.”

NOT ANTI-WAR, JUST ON THE OTHER SIDE: ‘War Criminals Work Here’: Pro-Palestinian Activists Vandalize Israeli Company’s Virginia Office.“Palestine Action U.S. vandalized the Arlington, Va., offices of Elbit Systems late Sunday night, the group claimed on X, formerly Twitter. Members of the group smeared red paint on the doors to Elbit’s building and spray painted ‘Shut Elbit Down’ and ‘We Will Be Back!’ on the entrance. The group boasted on X that this was ‘the THIRD Elbit location hit in one night in the U.S.,’ part of a coordinated attack that also included offices in Pennsylvania and Massachusetts. Elbit Systems is a frequent target of anti-Israel activism, thanks to its work providing the Jewish state with counterterrorism equipment.”

Antiterrorism is terrorism now because of course it is.

THERE SHE GOES AGAIN: Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm to Puerto Rico, that is. This is her sixth trip to the island in a year, all allegedly for official government business, according to Alana Goodman of the Washington Free Beacon.
