DOMESTIC TERRORISM: Guilty Plea in Pro-Abortion-Rights Firebombing Case. “According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel (Jessie Opoien), the target was ‘anti-abortion group Wisconsin Family Action’s office.’ The attack took place six days after the publication of the leaked draft opinion in Dobbs.”

OPEN THREAD: Disport yourselves in the comments.

21ST CENTURY HEADLINES: House committee debates space mining. “The hearing revealed a sharp partisan divide on the issue.” Which is a bit weird, since both the Trump administration and the Obama/Biden administrations have been strongly supportive. Though the divide discussed in the story doesn’t seem all that pronounced, really.

DO THE LETTERS F.O. MEAN ANYTHING TO YOU? Woke Mob Goes After Jerry Seinfeld. “The protestors, who gathered outside the Landmark Theatre in downtown Syracuse, chanted that Seinfeld is “complicit in genocide” against the Palestinians and demanded an immediate ceasefire between Israel and Hamas as well as an end to all U.S. aid to Israel. Police officers were deployed to ensure that ticket-holders could safely enter the theater. Seinfeld, who is Jewish, posted an image that read ‘I Stand With Israel’ on Instagram after Hamas terrorists murdered and kidnapped hundreds of Israeli civilians in a surprise invasion on Oct. 7.”

Mock them mercilessly. Hamas is a bunch of nasty terrorist losers, and is losing, which is why its lame supporters are begging comedians for a ceasefire.

A WEIGHTY ECONOMICS PUZZLE: “Yesterday a new study was released showing that patients on Eli Lilly’s Zepbound (tirzepatidere) lost weight but regained a meaningful percentage after being switched to placebo. Eli Lilly stock ‘tumbled’ on the news, e.g. here and here or see below. In other words, Eli Lilly stock fell when investors learned that to keep the weight off patients would have to continue to take Zepbound for life. Hmmm…that certainly violates what the man in the street thinks about pharmaceutical companies and profits. Chris Rock, for example, says the money isn’t in the cure, the money’s in the comeback. If so, shouldn’t this have been great news for Eli Lilly? So why did Eli Lilly stock fall?”

WHOEVER RUNS THE SITE THESE DAYS CAN BE QUITE PETTY: The Drudge Plot Thickens. “Why would whoever’s running the site link to an article that portrays its eponymous (former?) owner in a negative light? Then I clicked on the link. It was nothing but a screenshot of Trump’s Truth Social Post, and—get this—the link to my story was cut off.”
