I HATE TO SAY I TOLD YOU SO: Cancer.

I told you so. And I don’t want to hear “I guess people really care about abortion” when poll after poll said that wasn’t it. I don’t want to hear about “People love tyranny” because people DON’T. Do try for once in your life to have a spine.

What did you think would come from letting state after state get swallowed up by fraud? It never occurred to you it would become national? Affect national elections? When you saw the cancer spread, you thought it was someone else’s problem, far away?

If you find excuses for this now, if you buckle under, if you don’t look at the sheer weirdness of the numbers, you’re collaborating with the oppressors. You might as well shave your head now and save us time later.

If you give a d*mn about the republic, about liberty, about America, speak now. And loudly. It’s the only safety those of us already exposed have. It’s the only safety any of us have. And the only chance of restoring the country.

This is not time to go wobbly. I’d say be not afraid, but if you’re not afraid right now, you’re an unholy idiot. Be afraid, but protest and make noise and stand up as much as you despite your fear. Because it’s the only way we survive as a free people. It’s the only way Western Civ survives. It’s the only way our prosperity survives. Not the same. It’s going to be lean for a long time, but still prosperous by historical average. (Explanation of incomplete posting overnight. The posting was in limbo for a long time and finally went through. I didn’t notice it’d eaten half the last paragraph.)

THE ELECTION NIGHT DRUNKBLOG IS LIVE AND ON THE AIR, EVEN IN THE TINY REPUBLIC OF TOGO: Judgment Day, the 2022 Midterms.

(Bumped, by Glenn.)

DESANTIS’ RIP-ROARING VICTORY SPEECH: ‘I Have Only Begun to Fight.’

On Election Day, at his victory party at the Tampa Convention Center, Governor Ron DeSantis celebrated with around 4,000 of his supporters as he cruised to a 19+ point victory for reelection over Republican-turned-Democrat Charlie Crist.

In his speech, DeSantis gave yet another full-throated defense of liberty, freedom, taking on wokeism, and putting a stop to pandemic lockdowns.

He gave several memorable lines, with Churchillian overtones, and a clear and repeated message to keep fighting, never give up, and never back down. Indeed, it was a wartime speech, as America fights to preserve its liberty and its sovereignty. “Florida was a refuge of sanity when the world locked down,” he roared to a frenzied crowd. “We stood as a citadel of freedom for people across this country and indeed across the world. We faced attacks, we took the hits, we weathered the storms, but we stood our ground. We did not back down. We had the conviction to guide us, and we had the courage to lead. We made promises to the people of Florida, and we have delivered on those promises. And so today, after four years, the people have delivered their verdict. Freedom is here to stay.”

He pointed out how Florida has gone deep red in very unexpected areas, to the delight of those in attendance. Every time Fox News showed Miami-Dade County with huge vote advantages for DeSantis and Senator Marco Rubio, they exploded with applause.

Where is DeSantis headed next? His supporters shouting “Two more years! Two more years!” might be a clue.

#JOURNALISM: CNN THINKS HERSCHEL WALKER IS RUNNING FOR GOVERNOR.

OPEN THREAD: Anything happening today?

AUDIBLE SHOCK: MSNBC Devastated Over ‘Catastrophic’ Hispanic GOP Vote. “The devastation for the MSNBC panel set in early when national political correspondent Steve Kornacki went to the electronic board and showed that Senator Marco Rubio had an early lead in Miami-Dade County. This news received an audible shock from the panelists off-camera[.]”

FOX NEWS DECISION DESK RACE CALL: Gov. Abbott wins Texas race against Beto O’Rourke.

Related: Will this election finally be the end of Betoism? A quarter billion dollars in losses later, it may be time to give up on Beto O’Rourke.

Yet that’s what today’s Democratic Party has become: if you nationalize your message, go viral often enough, and enlist journalists to praise the way you sweat through your shirts — so sexily, as opposed to Ted Cruz — you too can suck massive amounts of cash out of the pockets of idiot donors who are too busy feeling good about their rightness to analyze what kind of Democrat would actually win in Texas.

Democrats should be grateful for what Greg Abbott is about to do to Beto O’Rourke. It won’t be pretty. It won’t be nice. But it will be necessary for a political party that needs to wrestle with the truth about what they’re doing wrong. Maybe this time, they’ll learn from the pain.

Or not. Democrats set $36 million alight when Abbott beat Wendy Davis in 2014, and in 2002, “Democrat Tony Sanchez mostly self-financed a $67.2 million campaign — compared to Gov. Rick Perry, who spent nearly $28 million to win by almost 20 percentage points.”

I DON’T KNOW BUT I LOVE IT: Most of Us Hit Snooze. But What Is It Actually Doing to Us? No sleep is more enjoyable than that which comes after the alarm goes off.

Plus: “The medical establishment is generally against the use of snoozing, but when we went to look at what hard data existed, there was none.” A lot of medical establishment opinions seem similarly ill-founded.
