“INSURRECTION:” More Jan 6 people convicted of “parading.”

The CBS News coverage linked above spends more time describing the outfits that the women were wearing that day than anything else. That’s because the videos don’t show much of anything. The women are seen “walking around inside the Capitol.” It appears that at one point DiFrancesco was talking on either a hand-held radio or a cell phone. They entered the building at 2:20 p.m. and left around 3:00. They later considered going back in a second time, but at that point the lines of Capitol Hill Police were blocking the entrances, so they left and went home.

That’s it. That’s the entirety of their “crime wave.” These women are guilty of trespassing, plain and simple. Yes, trespassing in the Capitol Building is against the law, but trespassing, in general, is a crime that is rarely prosecuted without the trespassers engaging in other illegal or violent actions on top of it. When such charges are brought, the perpetrator typically is sentenced to a small fine or, rarely, some community service, particularly when the defendant has no prior police record, which seems to be the case here. But these women weren’t just trespassing in the eyes of the government. They were “parading.” And now they might do six months behind bars.

“Parading.” A real threat to the republic. This entire thing is a disgrace to the republic.

ROCKY MOUNTAIN HIGH: Colorado is the nation’s cocaine use capital. “According to the survey, 2.24% of Colorado’s population aged 12 and older reported using cocaine in the past year. This puts Colorado first in the U.S., followed by New Hampshire, Vermont, New York and California.”

WHAT IT TAKES TO GET OUR POLITICAL ELITES RILED UP: Palestinian Authority president Mahmoud Abbas’ suggestion that Israel has committed “fifty Holocausts” against the Palestinians is grossly inaccurate and offensive. But he was answering a question in Germany about whether he would apologize for his involvement in the Munich massacre of Israel fifty years ago. The lack of apology is more important than overheated, offensive rhetoric, because it shows that either deep-down he’s still the same terrorist as always, or at least that he thinks it would be very harmful in Palestinian politics to acknowledge that murdering innocent athletes was wrong. Similarly, his government continues to pay generous pensions to terrorists who murder Israeli Jews, not just rewarding those terrorists but encouraging others to follow in their footsteps. Abbas is also a dictator who has not held elections in almost two decades, and as corrupt as the day is long. None of that gets the elites nearly as agitated as making an offensive Holocaust-related remark. It’s almost as though if you pay lip service to the memory of the Holocaust, you will get a free pass for current crimes committed against Jews and others… In fact, it’s exactly that.

BRIAN STELTER DROPPED BY CNN: Why the ‘Reliable Sources’ host was shown the door. “‘Stelter departs CNN having done damage to both the network’s reputation and the wider media’s reputation like few others could do. Positing himself as a media reporter looking to help explain the journalism profession to the public and show how stories are made and shaped, Stelter actually exposed the national press for the knavish liberal partisans that they’ve become by inadvertently displaying their arrogance and childish refusal to accept even mild outside criticism,’ [NewsBusters managing editor Curtis Houck] told Fox News Digital.”

SHUT UP, THEY EXPLAINED: Twitter bans women’s news outlet Reduxx. “The ban comes as many individuals who speak out against gender identity indoctrination and the medicalized gender transition of minors have been banned or suspended after their opponents claim that these positions are harmful to the LGBTQ+ community. ‘If exposing predators harms your movement, you are admitting your movement is run by predators,’ Reduxx co-founder Anna Slatz told The Post Millennial.”

Reduxx isn’t a conservative outlet, but they don’t toe the transgender line, either.

Update: The account has been unlocked. Can’t find an explanation for either the suspension or the reinstatement.
