DON’T GET COCKY:

Bucks County has been ordered to extend early voting through Friday so if that’s where and how you’re voting, don’t let anyone send you home.

WELL, OF COURSE: A Big Clue Has Been Dropped About Who’s Behind Those Exploding Ballot Boxes; Be Ready for Election Chaos. “The mistake we must not make here is thinking that these are just some isolated incidences perpetrated by some leftist wackadoodle, or that the chaos will only be seen at drop-off ballot boxes in the PNW. We have more than a full year’s worth of proof that the pro-Hamas crowd is rage-filled, violent and intent on silencing and punishing those they see as their enemies. And there some is pretty solid evidence that they count Kamala Harris as one of their own.”

ICYMI: What the Hell Is Going on in Michigan? “‘Vote early and often’ is one of those election campaign jokes politicians like to indulge in, but one Michigan voter ID reportedly has voted 29 times so far — and one expert just found 164,568 little anomalies.”

Update: Lara Trump said on X that the RNC’s election integrity team investigated the matter and determined that a “glitch” was to blame. The duplicates will not be counted.

“Fast-moving RNC” isn’t a phrase anyone gets to use very often — but it’s nice to.

ERIC COWPERTHWAITE: A Few Thoughts On Paris: In Response To Kurt Schlichter. “Overall, I think some of what we hear about France “falling” is very much untrue, and some is quite true. But it is a long way from reality that France is nearly overrun by Islam and Sharia. Germany was much worse, from that perspective, which we visited in August of 2022.”

BEZOS SHOULD ALSO HIRE TOM KNIGHTON:  Russian imperialism.

IF BEZOS REALLY WANTS CONSERVATIVE WRITERS, THERE’S AN APPLICATION:  “Dear Jeff”.

BEZOS REALLY NEEDS TO CLEAN HOUSE AT THE POST: WaPo Opinion Editor David Shipley Blames Bezos for Endorsement Drama, Tells Staff They Can Quit as Distraught Journalists Slam Bezos for ‘Conflict of Interest’ and ‘Thumb on the Scale.’

The Washington Post’s opinion editor privately blamed owner Jeff Bezos for barring the paper’s editorial board from publishing an endorsement of Kamala Harris, likening the decision to a “bomb” that “went off and now we are picking up the pieces,” according to an audio recording of a tense and angry Monday editorial meeting. The recording was obtained and reviewed by the Washington Free Beacon.

During the meeting, the paper’s opinion columnists and editors, exhibiting a high level of distress, unloaded on opinion editor David Shipley, complained that Bezos was destroying the paper’s reputation as an “independent journalistic organization,” and repeatedly denounced former president Donald Trump. One editor fretted that the “one thing that can’t happen in this country is for Trump to get another four years.”

Shipley told staffers that they were welcome to express their dissent at the decision, but that after they did so, they needed either to get on the team or resign.
“Whatever you decide, I’m good with it,” he said. “What I really do want to impart is that you do not get stuck in the middle. Don’t be here if you don’t want to.”

Yet even as he said this, editors at the meeting discussed circumventing Bezos’s decision by publishing an unauthorized endorsement of Kamala Harris.

Shipley said he “made very strenuous efforts, including a phone call I had with [Bezos] on Tuesday, to change his mind, but failed. And this was difficult.”

Mark Judge writes, “Now that the Post has hit rock bottom, it takes on the persona of the drunk who wakes up in jail, his wife gone, his job torched, his life in ruins. The Bezos intervention is the paper’s last chance to admit it has a problem.”

UPDATE:

HE’S KIND OF AN ARGUMENT AGAINST IMMIGRATION:

I mean, with all that America gave him, we wind up with “Fuck your freedoms” and the endorsement of a sad apparatchik with a girly-man running mate.

OPEN THREAD: Stop and smell the roses.
