MY NEW YORK POST COLUMN: Why are Democrats so scared of Donald Trump when they just defeated him? “Donald Trump is washed up. A has-been. Everyone hates him, and he has no future. That’s what the press is constantly telling us. So why are the Democrats still afraid of him? . . . In a nation returning to ‘normalcy,’ does Congress cower behind armed troops and 12-foot fences? Does a party securely in control try to enlist tech firms and media to snuff out voices of opposition? In a normal America, does a defeated presidential incumbent pose such a threat to the party in power that he must be impeached after leaving office, to ensure he doesn’t win back the White House in four years?”

MARK JUDGE: Ideological Horror. “The amount of paranoia and repression taking place is incredible. The party members consider the general populace as both childlike and a serious threat.” That sounds familiar.

YOU AND I HAVE A RENDEZVOUS WITH SCARCITY: Climate Change Follies. President Biden’s war on fracking will raise electricity prices while accomplishing nothing on climate.

XI’S GOTTA HAVE IT! Biden cancels Elon Musk’s adventures in space.

Thanks to his reusable rocket design, Mr. Musk’s company has already cut down on launch costs by a staggering 40 percent. SpaceX insists that it can cut those costs down further. What’s more, SpaceX rockets are entirely indigenously produced. And as the ongoing race to Mars between the United States and China intensifies, Mr. Musk’s new deep space reusable rocket Starship, might just be the vehicle that gets American astronauts to Mars before China can get its taikonauts to the Red Planet.

Certainly, the Starship reusable rocket is unproven. In another America, this experimental craft would elicit wonder and its development would be encouraged. The Trump administration exhorted SpaceX to vigorously move ahead with its Starship program.

The United States, however, has a new president. And President Joe Biden is making his space policy preferences increasingly clear: America will remain grounded for the time being.

As Roger Simon wrote on Wednesday: Happy Days Are Here Again — For Beijing and Moscow.

KRUISER’S MORNING BRIEF: Reality Check—AOC Is Still the Biggest Lunatic in Congress. “While the House has been moving to brand MTG as Public Enemy Number One, its squeaky pathological liar has been barfing drama queen all over the place, telling tales about a member of the United States Senate trying to have her murdered.”

ANALYSIS: TRUE. DEMOCRATIC GOVERNORS HAVE DEVASTATED THEIR STATES.

The political correlation is stark. What states have fared the worst during the Wuhan epidemic? We can give Hawaii a pass, since its tourist industry was crushed. But the poorest-performing states are all blue, with liberal governors in most cases notorious for their extreme shutdown policies: Michigan, New York (the ultimate covid disaster state), Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Minnesota, California, New Jersey, Delaware, Oregon.

Conversely, the best-performing states are red, generally if not always with Republican governors: Mississippi, Georgia, Alabama, Nebraska, South Carolina, Indiana, Arkansas, Arizona, South Dakota, Montana, Missouri, Tennessee. It would be hard to imagine a clearer pattern of success vs. failure.

Indeed.

FROM ELLIE FERGUSON: A Magical Portent

Storm clouds gather. An unknown danger nears, one that may spell the end of Mossy Creek, TX, and all those who live there.

Dr. Jax Powell and her best friends, her sisters from other misters, are determined to do whatever it takes to protect their town and loved ones. Each of them, once considered the town’s wayward children, have returned home. All but one: Magdalena “Maddy” Reyes. She’s not refused to return to Mossy Creek, but she appears to have dropped off the face of the Earth—or at least from the streets of Dublin.

Can they find Maddy and save their town or is it already too late?

THAT’S WHAT XI SAID:
