KEVIN DOWNEY JR: Wake Up Patriots: The Commies Are Winning.

I used to think the nation had “systems” in place to prevent such a takeover. I was wrong. The Democrats found a way to pry Trump, a true patriot, out of the White House. Mark Zuckerberg was a big part of that plan.

Biden sent his apparatchik lap dog, Merrick Garland, to Arizona to threaten the auditors into stopping. Democrats are fighting election audits in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan. What’s there to hide, Dems?

Why did the left want Trump out? Was it cheap gas, historically low unemployment, and an economy that was booming, for the second time, after COVID hit? Was it mean tweets? No, it was because commies want to destroy, even if it hurts the people.

Read the whole thing.

THE LEFT DOESN’T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT ACTUAL WOMEN, EXHIBIT #1,000,006:

Two girls getting raped by a boy in a skirt goes against the indoctrination these schools are imposing on children.

And if they start to question even a part of their indoctrination, who knows what difficult questions they might ask next.

THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN AND IT WILL BE AWESOME WHEN IT DOES: That corollary to Rod Dreher’s Law of Merited Impossibility is the suggestion of Nathaniel Blake, as he explains why the liberal elites are now pushing polygamy/polyamory as the next social/sexual milestone. That’s the one they assured us a decade ago would never come about. You could look it up.

THIS IS ABUSE OF POWER: Attorney General Merrick Garland appears before the Senate Judiciary Committee today and odds are one of the issues he will be queried about is why his department is not respecting an age-old congressional rule.

That rule is the minority party in Congress gets the same access to executive branch information as the majority party in congressional investigations. But, according to The Federalist, Garland’s Department of Justice and the FBI are ignoring that rule concerning information requests from the House Select Committee on the January 6 riot, as are other executive branch departments and agencies.

“On September 3, [Rep. Jim] Banks asked FBI Director Christopher Wray to give Republican lawmakers the same briefing offered to the Democrats on the progress of the agency’s own investigation. Partial findings of the FBI’s independent investigation were leaked to Reuters in August, which found ‘scant evidence’ the Capitol riot was ‘an organized plot to overturn the president election result.’ Wray has not responded to the request.

“’Pursuant to the rules of the House of Representatives, the minority party in Congress retains the rights to the same information that is provided to the majority party,’ Banks wrote in another letter to Wray on Sept. 16, which was also sent to several other federal agencies such as the Interior Department. ‘I ask that you provide me any information that is submitted to the Select Committee.’ His requests have been met with radio silence across the Biden administration.”

Based on his recent performance before the House Judiciary Committee, don’t be surprised if Garland is vague, evasive, less than candid, disingenuous, some combination of all four if the senators query him on this issue.

KRUISER’S MORNING BRIEF: This Biden Agenda Stuff Doesn’t Seem Very Popular. “There was some cheerleading in several MSM outlets about the big week President LOL Eightyonemillion is supposed to be having right now. As I survey the news landscape, however, it appears that the Biden Way isn’t going so well.”

BIRDS OF A FEATHER: Former Clinton Global Initiative Co-Chair Steve Bachar has been indicted on felony theft and securities fraud counts. Known for pushing “socially responsible” investing, Bachar claims the charges are “outrageous, unfounded, and false.”

MAINSTREAM MEDIA SELLING ‘NEWS:’ Chuck Ross and Santi Ruiz of the Washington Free Beacon expose the bought news stories sold by Politico, Reuters, Wall Street Journal, and Wired to Huawei. Huawei is one of the major digital tools of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) regime in Beijing. The Pentagon considers Huawei a national security risk for the U.S.

“The Wall Street JournalWired, Reuters, and Politico have all published news-style pieces commissioned by the Chinese telecom giant to advance its interests, according to a Washington Free Beacon review. Since July, Reuters has published two sponsored articles touting Huawei’s investments in the United Kingdom.

“The Journal has published 14 sponsored articles since last year, while Wired has hosted virtual events sponsored by the tech giant. Politico ran pro-Huawei content last year. The articles disclose that Huawei sponsors the content, though the company’s ties to the Chinese government may not be apparent to readers.”

Those ties ought to be apparent to the news organizations, however, which reminds, again, of Lenin’s quip that capitalists will sell the rope used to hang them.

WE NEED MORE STATUES: When One Comes Down Another One Goes Up.

We’re way beyond the point of expecting people who claim to be smarter than everybody else to be smart enough not to judge people, who were alive 250 years ago, by 2021 standards. That would get in the way of their political agenda, which appears to be destroying the reputations of the men who founded the country so that they can re-found one that suits their vision of a utopian nanny state.

Republicans have done their duty and spoken out against the stupidity of cancelling the Founders but that’s not enough.

Republicans should get into the statue building business.

When a Thomas Jefferson or George Washington statue is removed, they should be ready with another one to replace it. If not on the public property where it once stood, on private property close by.

Yes.

SCIENCE, LESS SETTLED THAN THEY PRETEND: Are Vaccine Boosters Widely Needed? Some Federal Advisers Have Misgivings. “In our hearts, I think people don’t quite agree with this notion of a booster dose,” said one leading vaccine expert.

Following a series of endorsements over the last month by scientific panels advising federal agencies, tens of millions of Americans are now eligible for booster shots of coronavirus vaccines.

But the recommendations — even those approved unanimously — mask significant dissent and disquiet among those advisers about the need for booster shots in the United States.

In interviews last week, several advisers to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and to the Food and Drug Administration said data show that, with the exception of adults over age 65, the vast majority of Americans are already well protected against severe illness and do not need booster shots.

All the advisers acknowledged that they were obligated to make difficult choices, based on sparse research, in the middle of a public health emergency. But some said they felt compelled to vote for the shots because of the way the federal agencies framed the questions that they were asked to consider.

Well, Pfizer alone has 700 lobbyists in Washington. So the agencies know how to frame things.

Plus:

Other committee experts said that they wanted to avoid confusing the public further by dissenting, or that they voted according to their views of the evidence and were simply overruled.

“These are not evidence-based recommendations,” said Dr. Sarah S. Long, a pediatric infectious disease expert at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, and a member of the C.D.C.’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices.

Like I said.

FROM CELIA HAYES:  Deep in the Heart.

The sequel to Daughter of Texas – She was a woman with many friends – but few of them ever knew her heart!

Two husbands, a large house, many friends – that was predicted for Margaret Becker Vining. That she would be a widow, left to raise her four sons in a tiny frontier town was not mentioned in the old conjure-woman’s prophecy. Austin, the makeshift capitol city of the Republic of Texas, was threatened and besieged from all sides. Peace did not come with Sam Houston’s victory over the Mexican Army at San Jacinto. Between old and bitter enemies and the inconstancy of unreliable friends, Margaret Becker Vining, her family and her friends must fight to maintain their independence and security . . . while Margaret herself despairs of ever finding happiness again.

HIGHER EDUCATION BUBBLE UPDATE: College Enrollments Continue to Drop, Two Years Into The Pandemic.

The post-pandemic enrollment rebound everyone wished for has not come to pass.

College and university enrollments are still on the decline for most institutions, early data from the National Student Clearinghouse Research Center show. Undergraduate enrollment across the board fell by 3.2 percent this fall, echoing last fall’s 3.4 percent decline. Since fall 2019, undergraduate enrollments have dropped by 6.5 percent.

The top-line findings paint a bleak picture for higher education’s recovery.

“We’ve really not seen declines across the board like this,” said Doug Shapiro, vice president of research and executive director of the research center.

Students still have not returned to college at the rate they left, and it will likely take years of work to bring them back into the fold, Shapiro fears.

“A lot of those freshmen who didn’t show up last year — they haven’t come back yet,” Shapiro said. “The longer students are away from school, the harder and harder it becomes for them to come back. It may well be that a majority of them might not ever make it back, and that’s very much a concern.”

Some of them will do fine in the trades. Others won’t do as well, but at least won’t carry college debt.

AS THE BLACK DOG CIRCLES AROUND ME, AND US, IT’S IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER:  Everything Isn’t Awful.
