THE SONG REMAINS THE SAME: Democrats Are Very Disappointed in… Their Own Voters.

As the late Nora Ephron screedily wrote at the Huffington Post in April of 2008 during the Democratic Party’s Pennsylvania primary, “But now there are two and we’re facing Pennsylvania and whom are we kidding? This is an election about whether the people of Pennsylvania hate blacks more than they hate women. And when I say people, I don’t mean people, I mean white men.”

MORE LEFTIST THUGGERY: Prof Turley threatened, harassed for impeachment testimony. “In a Thursday op-ed for The Hill, Turley revealed that he was ‘inundated with threatening messages’ and demands that the university fire him before he even finished his testimony.”

FAILED PRESIDENCY: Who’s laughing now, Macron? France is paralyzed by worst nationwide strike for decades, with schools shutting and public transport grinding to a halt, as furious public sector workers protest pension reforms. “The disruption comes a day after President Emmanuel Macron was caught mocking Donald Trump behind his back in a hot mic incident with Boris Johnson and Justin Trudeau at the NATO summit in London.” It’s the Trump Curse in action again. . . .

OFT EVIL WILL SHALL EVIL MAR: Impeachment Is Destroying CNN. “If you’re thinking to yourself, ‘CNN? I never watch it!’, you’re not only talking for yourself but for just about every single American. There’s literally just about nobody watching any of its programs — let alone those scheduled outside of primetime.” You would expect — and I imagine CNN did expect — that impeachment would be good for ratings. But with Democrats yammering about impeachment since the day after Trump was elected, nobody much cares now. And if you did want to follow it, why would you choose CNN? MSNBC is better at the rabid-left stuff, and Fox is fairer and more balanced.

A MAJOR FACEBOOK FACT-CHECKING FAIL: So this meme showed up in my memories marked as “False Information.”

I’m not exactly sure how this can be characterized as “false.” Do Americans really prefer to eat their dogs? Is the connection between socialism and dog-eating absurd? (No — see Venezuela.). Who’s the fact-checker responsible? This is all I found:

This is apparently a Colombian fact-checking service, in Bogota, which seems to be sympathetic to Evo Morales. The actual objection is that the Trump quote isn’t a genuine Trump quote. Well, it’s a meme. But it’s blacked out on my page as false because Facebook thinks it’s “Fake News,” based on a fact check from a Colombian “news” organization that I’ve never heard of, that seems not to understand how memes and humor work.

Sad, Facebook. Just sad.

ANNALS OF LEFTIST AUTOPHAGY: Cory Booker ‘taken aback’ by Mike Bloomberg’s ‘well spoken’ comment.

“I probably shouldn’t have used the word, but I could just tell you he is a friend of mine,” Bloomberg told reporters in Georgia later Friday. “He is a Rhodes Scholar, which is much more impressive than my academic background. I envy him.”

Booker criticized Bloomberg’s use of the phrase — which is considered condescending and offensive by many African American — after he said it during a “CBS This Morning” interview earlier Friday.

“I was taken aback by it,” Booker, 50, told SiriusXM radio show Signal Boost, adding he hoped the multi-billionaire now understood why the comment was hurtful.

“It’s sort of stunning at times that we are still revisiting these sort of tired, you know, tropes or the language we have out there that folks, I don’t think they understand, the fact that they don’t understand is problematic,” he said.

Yet another Democrat declares his party to be a cesspit of racism.

ADAM KISSEL: Do Failing Historically Black Colleges Deserve Billions in Handouts? HBCUs were a response to segregation. Segregation has been over for 50 years. When Howard had a near monopoly on the best black students, it was a superb institution. Are they viable now, when there are so many alternatives available?
