SHOCKER: Study: All-male Marine units outperform squads with women. “All-male ground combat units in the Marines were faster, more lethal and less injured than units with mixed genders, according to a Marine Corps study that looked at integrating women into all service jobs. . . . The study found all-male squads were faster in each tactical movement than those with both genders, according to the summary. The differences were greater when they were carrying heavy weapons and ammunition. Also, all-male rifle groups had better accuracy than integrated squads, according to the summary. And women had more injuries such as stress fractures.” Women bring a lot to the table in some capacities — Civil Affairs units, for example, which are very important — but for all-out combat few are up to par.

That’s no disgrace — I certainly don’t have what it takes to be a combat Marine — but it’s a fact.

QUICK, FIND ME SOME FRESH-FACED SEPTUAGENARIANS! Big-Name Plan B’s for Democrats Concerned About Hillary Clinton. “Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr., Secretary of State John Kerry, Senator Elizabeth Warren, former Vice President Al Gore: Each has been discussed among party officials in recent weeks as an alternative to Mrs. Clinton if she does not regain her once-dominant standing in the 2016 presidential field and instead remains mired in the long-running email controversy, with its attendant investigations.”

EVERYTHING SEEMINGLY IS SPINNING OUT OF CONTROL: Who Is Taking Potshots at Arizona Interstate Drivers? “These highway sniper attacks are beginning to occur with alarming regularity. At the end of August there were several attacks in southern Michigan. In the spring, there were a series of shootings on Colorado interstates. And last year, there were more than 20 shootings on Missouri highways. The two worst cases involving highway snipers were in Ohio in 2003 when 24 attacks occurred, killing one driver. And the infamous 2002 Beltway snipers who gunned down 10 people and seriously wounded 3 before being arrested and convicted. John Allen Muhammad (then aged 42) and Lee Boyd Malvo (then aged 17) were tried, with Mohammad being sentenced to death and executed. Malvo is serving six consecutive life terms.”

EVERYTHING WRONG WITH CALIFORNIA IN ONE PHOTO.

Hey, Jerry Brown is simply giving his fellow Obama voters in CA what they asked for, good and hard.

CULTURE OF CORRUPTION: Watchdog opened ‘criminal’ Abedin probe, but DOJ passed. “The State Department inspector general opened a “criminal investigation” of Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin in 2013 over allegations of ‘theft’ — referring to overpayments she received and overtime she allegedly wrongfully billed. But the Justice Department declined to take up the issue, POLITICO has learned.”

The fix was in. And note the involvement of Hillary “fixer” Cheryl Mills.

Title of the Inspector General’s report: “Huma Abedin, Embezzlement.”

MILO YIANNOPOULOS ON MAN-SHAMING BARRISTER CHARLOTTE PROUDMAN: Dear Charlotte Proudman: It’s Not Your Gender, It’s You.

On a related note, I suspect that if the male lawyer looked like George Clooney, Ms. Proudman wouldn’t be complaining. But you’re not supposed to say that, are you.

I don’t know how many compliments Ms. Proudman receives on a daily basis. But it takes an extraordinary level of entitlement to complain that you’re receiving too many of them, especially when they are as mild and non-creepy as the one Proudman received.

I’m a lot better looking than Ms. Proudman, so I get a lot more nice comments, but if I imagine receiving let’s say 0.5-1 per cent of the compliments I get, I can imagine how awful her life must be. Honestly, her stunt was almost a humblebrag, lighting up this poor solicitor in order to show the world she had received a grand total of one solitary half-compliment. Cringe.

The fact that she also felt the need to violate the male lawyer’s privacy and publicly embarrass him on social media demonstrates an incredible detachment from reality. Proudman has now taken to the pages of the Independent, where she complains that her career is now under threat because of a “misogynistic” backlash. And it’s true, members of large law firms have suggested that they will no longer work with her.

Here’s an ugly truth for Ms. Proudman: this “backlash” has nothing, I’m sorry to say, to do with your gender, and everything to do with your personality.

Men are perfectly comfortable working with women. Our era is more tolerant than any that has come before it, and in my experience men working in male-dominated environments are desperate for more women to join their teams. But that doesn’t mean people are comfortable working with loose-cannon harridans who post private correspondence on the internet. I mean, you’re a lawyer, for Heaven’s sake! Who in their right mind would hire you now?

No one. No one at all.

ASHE SCHOW: Gender matters more for perpetrators than victims in child sex abuse. Women, unsurprisingly, get a pass.

Had the former cheerleader or the trailer park abuser been men, the outcomes most likely would have been different. That’s because the justice system treats men and women differently when they abuse children. There are many reasons for this, including stereotypes about child sexual abuse and the unique conditions that may preclude young men and boys from coming forward to identify a female abuser. Such stereotypes exist mainly when it comes to teenagers and superiors, where a man who has sex with a female student is seen as a predator but a woman who has sex with a male student must have received consent. After all, young men want sex all the time, with anyone. Right?

A lack of research on female sex abusers also contributes to this problem.

In the meantime, women who abuse children receive slaps on the wrist, while men who abuse children receive appropriately severe punishments.

Ultimately, the children whose abusers remain free to assault them and others pay an undue price for such judicial discrimination.

It shouldn’t matter what the gender of an abuser is. What should matter is the crime that has been committed.

Well, for now what matters is supporting the “War on Women” narrative that Hillary’s depending on. If it winds up Biden vs. Fiorina, you can expect the narrative to change.

LIVING THROUGH A REPLAY OF “THE MARCH.”

FINALLY! Bentley Gives the World Its First Ultra-Luxury SUV. I think it should have been called “The Trump.” Plus: “If you find yourself somewhere without a valet, it can park itself in a parallel or perpendicular spot.”

FIORINA’S FACE: TRUMP FIGHTS LIKE A LEFTIST … AND WINS, John Nolte writes at Big Journalism:

Another reason Trump’s winning is due to the Republican Establishment’s rampaging and fatal case of fecklessness when it comes to fighting back against pretty much anyone, including the billionaire businessman. Just like their limp-wristed responses to Obama and Reid, the Establishment is too busy running around crying “foul!” over a Marquis of Queensbury violation to understand that they are losing.

While Obama was hitting below the belt calling everyone racist and sexist; while he called Palin a pig; while he was rabbit punching accusing Romney of murder; while Reid was beating our guy over the head with a metal folding chair with lies about paying taxes — what were we doing?

* * * * * * *

Bill Clinton once said, “It’s better to be strong and wrong than right and weak.”

Let me put it another way: No matter how nasty and underhanded the bully fights, nobody respects a punk.

Nobody votes for punks.

People respect strength.

And the guy getting beat while he’s crybabying about the other guy not fighting fair is always the punk.

We live in a world where the media openly admires how well the Clintons lie their way out of trouble; a world where the media are too busy admiring Obama and Reid’s audacity to make either ever pay a political price for smearing others with what the entire world knows are lies.

As Nolte writes, “Trump understands that this is how the political world now works. This doesn’t mean he’ll go all the way. He may go too far. He might implode. And if he keeps up these boorish attacks against women he probably will. But up to now all he’s done is win and win and win again; defy every rule and prediction and critic to the top of the field.”

As in 2008, today’s ugly media overculture is fixated on the candidate its rules created:

UPDATE: If you want to disarm Trump, don’t attack him. Pity him instead, with a little help from Jerry Seinfeld.
