GEORGE KORDA ON THE “SYSTEMIC RACISM” OF DEMOCRATS’ MONOPOLY-RULE CITIES: Are we being honest about who is to blame for systemic racism?

Minneapolis, Minn. has been under Democratic control since 1978. Chicago has been under Democratic control for 89 years; its present mayor is a black woman. Philadelphia has had Democratic mayors for 68 years; three of its last five mayors have been black men. Six of the last seven Atlanta, Ga., mayoral administrations were led by black Democratic mayors, and the present mayor is a black woman.

A city runs its police department and other services; therefore, if there is so much ‘systemic racism’ in these organizations, why hasn’t it been corrected over so many years under Democratic leaders?

Why aren’t these cities garden spots of racial tolerance, understanding, and virtue?

Because tolerance, understanding, and virtue don’t promote Democratic power.

Plus: “Unfortunately, in too many cases when people say they want an open and honest discussion about race in America, what they mean is they want an open and honest discussion only about what they say is wrong with people who aren’t them. When people talk about the need to deal with systemic racism, if they’re not willing to talk about the systems run – often for generations by the political party or politicians they support – they aren’t interested in an open and honest conversation; instead, they want only to use the issue as a club against people who aren’t them.”

Cory Booker Implies Democrats Are Racist For Not Putting Him On December Debate Stage.

Regarding that last item, at Power Line, Paul Mirengoff explores “Cory’s Complaint:” “The six Dems who have locked up places on the debate stage are Elizabeth Warren, Amy Klobuchar, Pete Buttigieg, Bernie Sanders, Joe Biden, and Tom Steyer. On this list are two women, a gay male, and a Jew. Clearly, it is a diverse group. To say that it contains ‘no diversity whatsoever’ is to read women, gays, and Jews out of the identity politics game. Heretofore, only Jews have been read out. Two more candidates — Andrew Yang and Tulsi Gabbard — aren’t far from qualifying for the next debate. They are of Asian origin. Does Booker deem Asian-Americans non-diverse? What Booker means is that there may be no black and Latino candidates on the debate stage. Kamala Harris would have been, but she dropped out of the race. Whose fault is that?”

MSNBC blames itself, apparently.

ANDREW YANG, VICTIM OF DEMOCRATIC PARTY/MEDIA RACISM:

Why are Democrat leaders and the news media so racist?

HEH: Liberals Clarify Their Racism Is Actually Democratic Racism.

Liberals seem to have a problem as more Justin Trudeau blackface photos have surfaced. Meanwhile, Democratic politicians in America continue to say anti-semitic things.

In their defense, liberals have come out to clarify that their racism isn’t the destructive kind condemned by most of humanity, but rather, it’s a new improved form called “democratic racism.”

“It’s not racism—it’s democratic racism,” Justin Trudeau assured supporters as 78 new images surfaced of him in various shades of brown makeup. “It’s totally different from regular racism, and to imply that our racism is the same as the bad kind of racism is ignorant.”

To separate the new democratic racism from old, boring racism, liberals pointed out that their form is very popular, and that their base is willing to defend their racist actions and comments. “See, they voted for us, and no matter what crazy racist comments we make, they’ll vote for us again,” said Ilhan Omar. “Where regular racism is condemned by all, democratic racism is voted for by our supporters. So it’s, like, democratic.”

This is supposed to be satire.

WHY IS THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY SUCH A CESSPIT OF RACISM? Sanders’s deputy press secretary apologizes for questioning American Jews’ ‘dual allegiance’ to Israel.

While Jews have rightly been worrying about antisemitism from “white nationalists,” who are a small group but are prone to deadly violence, they shouldn’t be entirely preoccupied with them. It’s worth keeping in mind that the two most antisemitic demographic groups in the U.S. are Muslims (I can’t find data separating U.S.-born and immigrant Muslims, but antisemitism is almost certainly much higher among immigrants) and Hispanic immigrants. Ilhan Omar is the former, Sanders’ deputy press secretary the latter.

That’s not to impugn either of these groups, as I know many lovely people from both of them, a majority aren’t antisemitic, and assimilation will reduce the rates significantly, as a vast gap in rates of antisemitism between U.S. and foreign-born Hispanics shows. But meanwhile, we shouldn’t be shocked if views that are at least unremarkable in certain strong Democratic constituencies are repeated unashamedly in public. And the least the Democratic Party could do is make clear they are unacceptable, as opposed to hedging as the Democrats did with Omar.

UPDATE: As several people have noted to me, the purported apology wasn’t actually an apology: “In a conversation on Facebook, I used some language that I see now was insensitive. Issues of allegiance and loyalty to one’s country come with painful history.” And what white nationalist violence? Have you already forgotten Pittsburgh?

WHY IS THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY SUCH A CESSPIT OF RACISM? Rep. Tlaib (D-MI) Blows Up Cohen Hearing: It Was a ‘Racist Act’ for a Republican to Bring a Black ‘Prop.’

“I could see and feel your pain. I feel it,” Cummings told Meadows. “And so —and I don’t think Ms. Tlaib intended to cause you that… that kind of pain and frustration.”

“As everybody knows in this chamber, I’m pretty direct,” Tlaib said. “So if I wanted to say that [Meadows is a racist] I would have. But that’s not what I said.”

Meadows thanked Cummings for addressing the issue and withdrew his demand to have the statement stricken from the record.

Cummings concluded the hearing with an angry speech, declaring that Congress is “better than this.”

No, it really isn’t.

SPEAKING OF OFFENSIVE PHOTOS OF DEMOCRATIC POLITICIANS INDULGING RACISM:

I assume Northam’s photo was meant to be a joke, though in very poor taste. Obama is smiling, but I don’t think it’s a joke.

Meanwhile, the standards on past indiscretions confuse me. If we had had a picture of Ted Kennedy driving a car off a bridge and leaving his passenger to die while he planned a cover up, would he have had to resign?
