PAY YOUR DEBTS: Millions of Americans hit with bad credit after missed student loan payments. “Credit scores dipped by more than 100 points for 2.2 million delinquent student loan borrowers, and 150 points or more for more than 1 million in the first three months of 2025, according to an analysis by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. It’s the kind of credit score drop that follows a personal bankruptcy filing. Roughly 2.4 million of those Americans previously had favorable credit scores and would have qualified for car loans, mortgages or credit cards before these delinquencies were reported, researchers said.”

UNEXPECTEDLY: Despite decades of Democrat health initiatives, Americans are sicker than ever.

Another failed Democrat health program: former President Barack Obama’s Affordable Care Act or Obamacare. It aimed to expand healthcare access, reduce costs, and improve care quality through insurance mandates, exchanges, and Medicaid expansion.

The truth and the outcome are vastly different than its intended purpose. While it insured 20 million more people, premiums and deductibles soared.

The average family premium exploded 61% from 2010 to 2020, and as a result, bureaucracy ballooned. Rural hospital closures spiked (138 since 2010), and some argue it entrenched a profit-driven system rather than addressing root inefficiencies. As premium prices rose, coverage quality declined l.

In February 2010, former First Lady Michelle Obama launched “Let’s Move,” a public health initiative aimed at reducing childhood obesity, and promoting healthy lifestyles among children in the United States.

In the midst of a growing obesity pandemic, it sought to encourage healthier eating habits through school lunch programs, increase physical activity and provide better access for nutritious foods.

The reality is that obesity rates haven’t demonstrably changed: 42% of U.S. adults were obese in 2020, up from 30% in 2000. The “Let’s Move” program often focused and implemented change on individual behavior while ignoring structural issues like food desserts, subsidy-driven cheap junk food, and sedentary environments.

The Healthy Lunchbox Campaign in California backfired when free lunch bags were found to contain lead, exposing kids to health risks.

Government-run health care is about as reliable as government-run anything else, but not quite.

WELL, WHICH IS IT?

FLORIDA MAN FRIDAY [VIP]: Leave That MAGA Man Alone. “It’s time for your much-needed break from the serious news, and this week, you’ll learn where not to punch a cop, the worst time to play hide and seek, and all about the Texas Mom who really knows how to throw a party.”

THIS HAS THE POTENTIAL TO BE HUGE:

From the study: “The findings highlight that artificial intelligence-powered tutoring, when designed and used properly, can have transformative impacts in the education sector in low-resource settings.”

IT’S WAY UP ON THE LIST: Trump’s Kneecapping of Harvard May Be My Favorite Thing in the History of Trump. “Perspective is everything, and I’ve changed mine in recent weeks. I’ve begun to greatly enjoy the daily tizzies that the president and his administration send the Dems’ flying monkeys in the mainstream media into because I know that it means Trump is over the target with his agenda.”

SARAH HOYT’S SHOCKED FACE IS KICKING BACK WITH A BOOK AND A GLASS OF WINE: Crime Rates of Illegal Migrants Underreported.

“Immigrants commit crimes in this country at a rate lower than natural-born citizens,” added Connecticut Sen. Chris Murphy. “So, if you want a safe town or a safe neighborhood, you are better off if you have immigrants.”

Speaking on the Senate floor last year, Murphy added, “Whether you choose to want to believe the facts or not, that is not my decision, it’s your decision, but…but it is the truth.”

This tenet is incessantly parroted by the legacy news media. Sample headline, this one from ABC News: “No, migrants are not driving a surge in violent crime as Trump claims.” ABC asserted that crime in this country is declining despite an influx of illegal immigrants.

This barrage has achieved its intended goal: A McLaughlin & Associates survey commissioned by the Crime Prevention Research Center on April 29, 2025, reveals that 41.6% of voters believe illegal immigrants commit crimes at lower rates than U.S. citizens, compared to 33.3% who think otherwise.

Like most issues, U.S. public opinion on this question has a demographic and partisan component. Only men, Republicans, conservatives, whites, and those aged 41 to 55 believe illegal immigrants commit more crimes. The majority of young voters (18-29), Democrats, liberals, and African Americans most strongly assert that illegal immigrants commit fewer crimes.

But is this “the truth”? Are these “the facts”?

The data suggests that the answer is pretty clearly “no.”

These claims usually conflate legal and illegal immigrants. Legal immigrants tend to follow the law, but illegal immigrants are a different story.

Every illegal alien’s first act on American soil was to break the law. Democrats conflate illegals with legal immigrants for various reasons — all political — and the result is more crime.

GLEICHSCHALTUNG: House budget bill effectively halts US clean energy boom. “The House budget bill that narrowly passed in an early morning vote on Thursday would effectively put the brakes on a clean energy production boom in the United States spurred by subsidies enacted in 2022.”

Here’s a tip for Reuters: It’s not a boom if it’s financed by tax dollars and summoned into existence by mandates. It’s just another boondoggle.

NO. NEXT QUESTION? Is ADHD an excuse for punching classmate and a teacher?

“New York City’s public schools routinely flout federal rules designed to prevent schools from removing children from class for long periods due to behavior related to their disabilities, reports a Chalkbeat investigation. If Tristan’s disability had been considered a factor in the fight, the hearing office ruled, he could have been suspended for only one week.

Students with disabilities are far more likely to be suspended than non-disabled peers. In part, that’s because behavioral and emotional issues such as oppositional defiant disorder are disabilities.

The federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) requires schools to educate disabled students with non-disabled students when possible, writes Zimmerman. If a student’s misbehavior is related to a disability, “the student is supposed to return to class immediately, and the school is required to conduct a behavior assessment.” There are exceptions for “extreme violence, drugs, or weapons possession.”

How does that promote the education of the vast majority of kids without behavioral issues?

KRUISER’S MORNING BRIEFING: Here’s Hoping Trump Crushes the Intifada and Its Enablers in Academia. “Leftists rally around slogans and talking points, largely because their mobs are comprised of easily-manipulated simpletons who need pithy phrases to achieve peak frenzy. They’re also incurious and easy prey for propagandists. All of this came together and led to the tragedy in Washington, D.C.”

CIVIL RIGHTS UPDATE: ATF Issues a Statement Announcing That It Has Ushered In a ‘New Era of Reform.’ “The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) is ushering in a new chapter—marked by transparency, accountability, and partnership with the firearms industry. This is not the same ATF of the last four years. We are fundamentally changing course with a renewed focus on rebuilding trust with federal firearms licensees (FFLs), gun owners, and the public by prioritizing public safety and collaboration.”
