JUSTICE WILL BE SERVED: ‘Enough Is Enough’: CovCath Attorney Lin Wood Offers to Help Kyle Rittenhouse For Free After GoFundMe Shuts Down Legal Defense Fund.

Lin Wood, the famed attorney who successfully represented Covington Catholic’s Nick Sandmann in multiple lawsuits against the media, graciously and heroically offered to help Kyle Rittenhouse for free on Thursday morning after GoFundMe suspended his legal defense fund.

Rittenhouse is disturbingly being charged with first-degree murder for defending himself against a registered sex offender involved in sex crimes with a minor and two other violent assailants with criminal records that attacked him during the riots on Tuesday night in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

After witnessing Democrat congresswoman Ayanna Pressley smear Rittenhouse as a “white supremacist domestic terrorist,” Lin Wood tweeted: “Ayanna Pressley just got condemned to the World of the Blocked. She is no Elvis. And I am not a criminal defense lawyer but I am going to see what I can do tomorrow to help Kyle Rittenhouse. If a private defense lawyer steps up to defend him, please notify me of his or her name.”

But just try getting a rioting, thieving arsonist to face even a single charge.

KATYA SEDGWICK: The Worst Part About Fake ‘Anti-Racism’ Is That It Forces Us To Live Lies.

With the exceptions of some Gen Zers who were brought up with the lie and expend an inordinate amount of energy trying to maintain epistemic closure, everyone in the country knows the BLM organization was founded on falsehood and that the death of approximately one dozen unarmed people a year at the hands of police does not amount to black genocide.

Yet millions of Americans are forced to live under this lie today. For instance, consider the store owners who place Black Lives Matter signs on their front windows in hopes of placating rioters. How many of them admit that the act is purely a protective measure, born out of helplessness, and not some kind of affirmation of radical racialist ideology?

When riots began consuming American cities, major corporations responded with struggle sessions, during which employees were encouraged to confess to being racist for thinking or feeling something offensive, or for not performing acts BLM deems “anti-racist.” These struggle sessions are often shaped by Robin DiAngelo’s book “White Fragility,” which advises supposedly well-meaning white people on whom to befriend and counsels them to seek out situations in which they would feel unsafe. In other words, employees of major corporations are being asked to mimic a cult.

Often, an employee can do very little to avoid being subjected to the emotional abuse of an “anti-racism” workshop. He can quit, but what can he do afterward? Work for another corporation with a similarly malignant office environment?

JIM GERAGHTY: Stop Downplaying the Violence in Our Cities. “If the people perpetuating mayhem on the streets of Kenosha and just about every major American city for the past few months are indeed morally and politically separate from those who came out to protest . . . why has anybody been reluctant to denounce them?”

To be fair, it’s only people with political leanings to the left with any reluctance. Although usually what we hear is straight-up refusal to denounce the rioters.

Refusal is far worse than reluctance, and to use the wrong word is to cheapen when the left has been getting away with.

BATTLESWARM BLOG: Kenosha Burning. “Antifa/#BlackLivesMatter rioters seem determined to riot in every city in America (or at least every Democrat-controlled city), and this week it was the turn of Kenosha, Wisconsin, a city of some 100,000 on the shores of Lake Michigan between Chicago and Milwaukee, two other cities that have gotten to experience the same violence.”

KRUISER’S MORNING BRIEF: RNC Night 3—Powerful Lineup Forces LibMedia to Pathetic New Lows. “For the first time for either this year’s DNC or RNC I decided to join my colleagues for the liveblog that we are doing every night. As the evening wore on, I told them that this was the most impressive one night speaker lineup I’d seen at a convention. It was sincere, and I have a lot of conventions under my belt.”

WINNING: Facebook warns Apple’s iOS 14 could shave more than 50% from Audience Network revenue. “Today, advertisers can use a unique device ID number called the IDFA to better target ads and estimate their effectiveness. In iOS 14, each app that wants to use these identifiers will ask users to opt in to tracking when the app is first launched. Facebook said its apps will not collect IDFA information on iOS 14.”

To be clear, Facebook is losing the ability to target ads to iPhone and iPad users when they’re using apps other than Facebook.

It’s impossible to prevent an app from collecting whatever data you input into it, but cross-app tracking has always felt devious and creepy to me.
