HELEN TRIES IT: So I bought some “Don’t Tread on Me” earrings from Helen’s Page newest advertiser, No-System. They sell T-shirts and accessories that have a libertarian or conservative twist. The earrings are super lightweight and made out of sustainable wood. I don’t like heavy earrings and these are perfect. They did take a week to get here but they inexpensive and are ordered as they are sold so it was worth the wait. They would make a great gift for anyone who likes something unique that expresses their feelings about freedom. Or for your second amendment friends, how about these?

HELEN TRIES IT: I have read two out of the three of the The Hard Man Novels written by Howard McEwen and decided this week to read the third book, Wrath: A Hard Man Novel (The Hard Man Series). What I loved about this particular book is that it is set in Northern Kentucky where I have spent a bit of time so it seemed familiar. The book looks at the lives of two men, one a politician named William Goebel and the other is a mountain man who came from a very different background. The book is rich with the history of the late 1800’s which the author explores in vivid detail. I felt like I was getting a history lesson as well a reading a great story. Wrath is engaging, well-written and draws you in from the first page. I highly recommend it. I have given this book at Helen’s Page a verified status.

NEED ENERGY? King Harv’s Rocket Fuel now on sale.

DOES DAD LIKE GOLF? A fun gift would be James Y. Bartlett’s golf mystery series.

TREAT YOURSELF FOR FATHER’S DAY: How about a water bottle from Biblical Greek T-shirts, a Thomas Sowell T-shirt or a Hard Man Novel?

UPDATE: I see that Biblical Greek T-shirts has a new men’s t-shirt that carries a “warning”:” “* Wearers of this shirt should be aware that it may not meet with the approval of either Facebook, the Chinese Communist Party, or the mainstream media.”
