EARPHONES: Ultimate Ears. These come highly recommended, but I haven’t tried them. On our car trip to Columbus, the Insta-Daughter gave the Sony noise-cancelling earphones that I mentioned a while ago a workout, and liked ’em a lot.

Ultimate Ears are great. We use what are called “molds”…custom-fit earbuds that fit precisely in your individual ears, having been made from casts or “molds” that an audiologist makes using a quick-setting gel. Big money, big sound.

I use the M-Audio line of generic ear buds for my iPod use…much better than the supplied version from Apple.

Never tried those.
