There are crimes like incitement, true threats, extortion, conspiracy, etc. that involve speech, but they also involve an independent crime (see also “your money or your life”). “Hate speech” is a term invented by the left to try to remove protection from speech that they hate. It has no legal meaning, and no Attorney General, much less a Republican one, should be using it non-ironically.
