TO AN EXTENT SHE’S NOT WRONG:  Betraying the Past.

To another extent, for a variety of reasons that might have seemed good, we’ve created a world where not only is it very hard to find someone to marry, but where every aspect of the culture doesn’t incentivize having children, and outright penalizes parents with various regulations on child rearing. I won’t say I don’t feel sad at how few young people I know have kids, but it is what it is.
