WELL, THERE’S ONLY ONE WAY TO REALLY PROVE IT: A Student Just Proved Paradox-Free Time Travel Is Possible.
It’s hard to tell from this writeup, but I think his theory would also address Niven’s Law of Time Travel, which says that in any universe where it is possible to travel into the past and change history, that change will progress until history is changed such that no time machine is invented anywhere ever, at which point things are stable and the process stops. So that in any universe where time travel to the past that changes history is possible, no time machines will exist. But I gather that’s not the case in his conception.
Wait, is that the sound of thunder?
