MASKS ARE BETTER THAN LOCKDOWNS: Universal mask-wearing would do more to reduce infection than indefinite lockdowns would. This seems plausible to me. I understand people being salty about the experts’ about-face on masks, but it was the initial masks-don’t-work position that was stupid.
