TOM MAGUIRE: So How Many Died At Watergate? “And do let’s note – a standard lib talking point during the promotion of Obamacare was that access to health insurance saves lives. Dare we presume that failure to implement Obamacare thereby costs lives, eventually if not by this weekend? Ezra Klein was talking about 15,000 to 20,000 lives per year, which dwarfs the 1,833 who died at Katrina.”

Dude. Those talking points are only applicable against Republicans.

THE OBAMACARE DEBACLE: The Beginning Of The End For Barack Obama? “Second-term presidents in the past 30 years have had some pretty embarrassing news conferences, full of frank admissions of failure, submissive spasms of shame and groveling, grieving apologies. . . . IN PROTEST OF “ECOTAX,” thousands of French truck drivers block highways. “At least 2,000 freight trucks blocked major highways across France on Saturday in a protest calling for the cancellation of an environmental tax on heavy loads. The protest comes despite government promises to suspend the so-called ecotax.”

PROF. JACOBSON: Triumphalism Was His Undoing. “He won. He let us know it. And he and his supporters ruled as if those who opposed him were illegitimate. Could it have been any different? I doubt it, given the man.”

HMM: Baby illnesses tied to parents nixing vitamin K shots. “The four Nashville-area infants suffered brain or stomach bleeding earlier this year. Their parents had declined vitamin K shots, which have routinely been given to newborns since 1961. The shots improve blood clotting and prevent internal bleeding. All four children were treated with vitamin K and survived. On Thursday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said the illnesses were the first tied to parents opting out of the shots; reports of vitamin K deficiency are rare. The CDC said the parents cited a belief that the shots weren’t necessary or cause leukemia. Officials say neither is true.”

SCIENCE: Study Suggests Bleach Can Reverse The Aging Process. “A diluted mixture of .005% bleach in water showed to reverse both the inflammation and aging of the skin in trials conducted on mice, giving researchers hope that this inexpensive household item may be the answer to addressing serious conditions in humans, including painful side-effects of cancer treatments.”
