OKAY, OKAY, EVERYBODY’S RAGGING ON ME about Al Gore’s dumb honorary degree from UT. Sorry, but the Board Of Trustees didn’t consult me on this one. If they had, I’d have said that it was a lousy move, with even more lousy timing as ClimateGate explodes to the point that even The New York Times is admitting it. But they didn’t ask, so don’t blame me. The decision was, as a great man once said, “above my pay grade.” [LATER: Reader C.J. Burch emails: “No problem. I didn’t blame you. I just figured it was the same crowd that brought Lane Kiffin on board. We knew those folk weren’t that bright any how.” Heh. They didn’t consult me about Kiffin, either . . . ]
And no, I don’t know what’s going on with Bob Corker, either.
UPDATE: Don’t have a link, but I’m told that Tea Party folks are going to visit Bob Corker’s offices across Tennessee tomorrow at 1 p.m.
